XL6 was already a great VFM practical family car. Now it looks brilliant, the extra chromium on the grill(Toyota inspired?) and the new diamond cut alloys( finally now in proper proportion as the rest of the car) then those new smoked rear tail lights have given the car a superb look. In Nexa blue it looks so sharp and butch. 👌 Then I've been using the K15B XL6 since last year, the last seats are plenty comfortable and spacious for even 5'10 footers on long hauls. I've done 500+kms in a day within Kerala with 6 adults and even the last row riders were happy at the end of the trip. And with those speed cams all over, you really dont need a more powerful car here in the state. P.S: Now waiting hopefully for the MGP spares shop to bring those new alloys + new grill + tail lights maybe to make my previous gen car too get a 2022 facelift. 😁😃
@@dundumonu VFM doesn't just mean buying a car, it has to prove it's worth and hold well over the years. Kia and Carens are fresh entrants in India, let's see how they hold up in the toughest market of the world.

Excellent review....i faced the lack of power while driving new petrol ertiga in Bangalore Highway...while overtaking..... behind cars are making long horns... vehicle is struggling with 5 person... anyways...all cars have positive and negative...by knowing that ...the purchase will be great... thank ... talking cars ..

Regarding the ventilated seat, apart from the noise, do you see any other issue? Asking because in Team BHP and powerdrift review, they mention it is one of the best (of course for this class) ventilated seats that they have came across
Kia Carens prestige plus with 1.4 Turbo Petrol and DCT looks much better and much more VFM in my opinion…it’s 14.9 ex-showroom. The only problem I see with it is the DCT gearbox
My opinion is that if maruti gives a turbo petrol K15 it's a game change. Another thing is that if Maruti Suzuki makes Swift a nexa premium with that 1.4 turbo engine 😍💥 mind blowing ❤️. That's where this thing comes into play that 1.4 boostejet turbo engine makes even a better change in facelifted XL6 too... But it's a Maruti so never expect so much 🥲😄.
@21:10 - Perhaps the 'M' mode is intended towards extracting max engine braking or for steep inclines (to prevent drop in momentum)? How did the AT behave in 'D' in scenarios where engine braking without upshift would have been ideal?
I still miss a good diesel engine from maruti. A 1.5 diesel with this 6 sod AT would've been awesome. Lack of torque is a very big problem while driving through hilly areas. The pricing doesn't help it either. Although i am impressed by the ventilated seats and other small features. I genuinely hope that the Scross will get a turbo petrol engine. I am a fan of maruti but these new engines are not helping. (I did like the new Baleno though) The thoughts of a 2013 swift Zdi driver.
@@bikerbuddymotovlogs oh yes it is. The car feels underpowered today, and the gearbox isn't the best. But it's a very "nice" engine indeed. And the spares are dead cheap.
I once owned a Scross (facelift) 1.3 ddis. Twice it failed to pull me out of steep inclines, out of parking lots in Bangalore and once while visiting a resort at Munnar. On all three occasions I had to offload passengers, my family, and to bring the vehicle to level ground. Highway drive was superb, but when put to some of these mundane daily circumstances, I found the engine didn’t have the grunt demanded. I wonder how much would this engine, the new petrol would perform, especially with such large body and passenger capacity.
@@bijofrancis7063 That is a very genuine concern. Initially i had experienced the same issue of steep inclines. But as i practically live in Idukki, i learned to slip the clutch properly while trying to spool the turbo up. Now i do not have any issues with inclines even though i have to murder the clutch at times. The lack of low end is a very big concern on all small displacement diesels especially when driving around in hilly areas. The XL6 is a great car, but 102 hp on a 7 seater is absolutely pathetic. My city petrol with 117hp is not enough at times for an overtake with 5 people on board. I cannot fathom what an XL6 owner is gonna go through. That 6spd auto doesn't help either. Advice to prospective XL6 owners: Get the manual, save the money and the manual might give an arguably better acceleration too.
I was a bit disappointed that I got scross and it getting 6 speed AT shortly. But this engine and performance makes me happy that I did not wait and waste more money. Hoping the baleno screen can be added to old scross. Is it possible to add this new screen and 360 degree to current gen scross.
As per the people from nexa showroom as well as service center they say that the 360 degree cam cant be installed even in the lower trims of the facelift. I haven't gone into detailed research but iam sure there will be someone hopefully from team bhp . Will find a way to get it done .

Thanks for the good review. Regarding JD's comment on many other manufactures providing 6 airbags as standard, as far as I know, only Kia Carens has 6 airbags as standard on this side of 20 Lakh. Please let know if any other model have 6 airbags as standard.
At 3:36 you mentioned ford and i remembered that the omni was the only car (suzuki carry) that was sold both as a ford and a Chevrolet (or was it bedford as the Bedford rascal) I don't know
with such a conservative drivetrain, paddle shifts are useful only for engine braking when one needs to brake or gets to a corner!! But I will opt for the Carens turbo DCT prestige plus over this XL6.

@@dude8456 third row comfort is decent even for 5'10 footers. And the A/c and overhead vents(with proper cooling coils) are powerful enough to chill even the last row. Second row captain seats make it easy for the air flow to hit the last row faster and effectively. And I own a Zeta MT since last year.

Hello guys, as always what an amazing review. As a user of S-cross mild hybrid tech, I believe i can comment about the system's practicality. The system is pretty effective. It gives a good bump in torque, especially when you try to accelerate at lower speeds or overtake vehicles. As you said, it is not a very significant technology, but does its work. The boost is only for 30 seconds (on full acceleration from fill charge). The difference in pickup is significant when we dont get the assist, especially in the hills. Going uphill, since there is no regeneration, the system is useless. 😂
I second this feedback. I do have the 2019 Ertiga and the torque assist can be felt especially when accelerating in higher gear, and no need to downshift. It is marginal but still can be felt during day to day driving.
Honestly liked all those subtle changes Suzuki made to the facelift specifically the upsizing of tyres and the smoked tail lamps..but not the design of alloys☺️

Thanks for the good review. Regarding JD's comment on many other manufactures providing 6 airbags as standard, as far as I know, only Kia Carens has 6 airbags as standard on this side of 20 Lakh. Please let know if any other model have 6 airbags as standard.

with such a conservative drivetrain, paddle shifts are useful only for engine braking when one needs to brake or gets to a corner!! But I will opt for the Carens turbo DCT prestige plus over this XL6.

@@dude8456 third row comfort is decent even for 5'10 footers. And the A/c and overhead vents(with proper cooling coils) are powerful enough to chill even the last row. Second row captain seats make it easy for the air flow to hit the last row faster and effectively. And I own a Zeta MT since last year.

Hello guys, as always what an amazing review.
As a user of S-cross mild hybrid tech, I believe i can comment about the system's practicality.
The system is pretty effective. It gives a good bump in torque, especially when you try to accelerate at lower speeds or overtake vehicles. As you said, it is not a very significant technology, but does its work. The boost is only for 30 seconds (on full acceleration from fill charge).
The difference in pickup is significant when we dont get the assist, especially in the hills. Going uphill, since there is no regeneration, the system is useless. 😂
I second this feedback. I do have the 2019 Ertiga and the torque assist can be felt especially when accelerating in higher gear, and no need to downshift. It is marginal but still can be felt during day to day driving.
