Blackpink and bts are the two most popular kpop groups here in America. Kpop is becoming more and more popular in America because of these two mega groups- blackpink and bts. Before Blackpink and bts, I didn't know anything about kpop. On my channel, you get to watch my journey to discovering the world of kpop via my reaction videos. It all started with bts for me, and I was later introduced to blackpink. If these two kpop groups had to battle for the top spot, who would win? In today's upload, I am reacting to blackpink and bts' debut singles.

BTS was from a really small company with Literally almost no budget and they debuted in 2013... Blackpink is from YG one of the biggest agencies in Korea in 2016 and had a lot of benefits... You just can't compare both this will only lead to fanwars...

Blackpink had the better debut for me, mostly because they are what got me into kpop but also i just love boombayah i still to this day jam out to it... well they do only have like 14 songs so i meannn..lmaoo! But both groups worked really hard from where they started to get where they are today so i'm proud of both of them tbh!

If ever you get the time I highly recommend reacting to a full album. Their albums are highly conceptual and are meant to tell a story. Intro Persona is the first song off Map of the Soul: 7. The album references psychological concepts by Carl Jung. Check out Doolset Bangatan's website for the best translation as not every song has a video.

I am a Army meaning Ik what it’s like to hate on groups and down them ,but personally I like bts better no hate to black pink just not my favorite but kpop has many different artists and there all good in there own way love Bts unconditionally

Idk if you’ve seen the video where Namjoon talks about how a lot of people don’t listen to lyrics/the message anymore, most go for the beat and vibe and that sometimes even he catches himself doing it etc ....
I think it’s also important to have songs with more substance because those are for us, it’s good to have songs that make you reflect and feel sadness/other emotions besides happiness. I think sometimes we get too caught up with just going through our day that we forget to really live. So many people go numb and it’s sad to see that, ppl losing touch with themselves. Idk if that makes sense, sorry for my English

Important note! These are not the best groups to compare debuts. There are huge differences in when they debuted, budget etc. remember that BTS debuted in 2013 and Blackpink already had a company with huge influence. On a side note, really liked your reaction 💛

Once you compare them all hell will be unleashed in a fan wars. It will start on bragging their fave next is downgrading the other group. Tori Mosé BP had so much popularity before they even debuted, they had/have a huge established company behind them and there’s a huge time difference, promotion, funding etc. If you’re going to “compare” groups pls do more in-depth research, I feel the video lacked that. Other than that it was alright

i agree sum what but i mean blackpink still had struggles from their debut and it kinda seem like u were saying blackpink was just givin their hype and fame. And blackpink has definitely had huge impact in the US especially for only being around for 4 years. But both groups deserve everything they have and they have worked really hard for it!

I started listening to bts in March so I started with the MV ON.
So I went WAY BACK IN TIME to see how they started at that's where I fell in love with them because of the way they are and how they started and the music just grabbed my heart after listening to all the songs.
I don't know much of Blackpink besides the songs which are on my playlist but I love them too
BTS comes from a small company and their lyrics are deeper but Blackpink’s songs give you confidence and make you feel like the baddest B. They aren’t comparable. Both amazing and deserve to be on the top.

Imagine being on a live of your favourite idol and seeing someone type in a disgusting message? So what if they are the two biggest groups? They are still human and as far as I know 1 sentence can make a human break down or even worse. Another thing is that people say ignorant things without even realising it and that could hurt a lot of people. I don't want to see anyone suffering because it, especially when I've gone through being compared, emotional and physical abuse . No one should have to go through that.

Guys I hope you realise and we all know BTS had it tough but please appreciate BLACKPINK came from korea's one of the biggest companies tied to hundreds of expectations 'oh a YG group? Must be awesome!' Also YG is known for its SUPER TOUGH AND LONG training period. Take Jennie, she trained for 6+ years. So, yes BLACKPINK is from YG they have huge budget mvs but you think everyone can debut under YG? YG debuts perfectionists so debuting under YG alone was super tough. The girls mentioned they had dance,vocals, krunk, Japanese and many other classes and they slept at 3-4am. Ate egg and jam and their dorm had roaches and centipedes. Sure BTS rose from nothing to kings but also remember bughit was a small company training these men to be it's first idols. BLACKPINK had so many trainees to compete with just to debut.
*basically the fame both groups had was obtained from tough struggle. BTS rose from nothing to everything and BLACKPINK they rose as soon as they started but starting alone was super tough for them*
If you are into kpop you know YG and you know that he will not let any idol 'ruin' its name. Debuting wasn't easy for BLACKPINK either.

Sure once they debuted BLACKPINK shot up super fast but must I say 6-7 years Jennie trained to debut is the same 6-7 years BTS rose from meeting for the first time to rising up. They all trained for 2-3 years and debuted in 2013 got quite popular by 2015 by blood sweat and tears. So 5-6 years journey BTS had to rise to fame is same as 5-6 years BLACKPINK practiced to rise to fame. Blackpink for me cuz bombayah was the first ever kpop song I listened to. I don't vibe with BTS since I definitely like other boy groups hardcore music more like Stray kids and Ateez more. But Blackpink were definitely queens from the first. Also to the people saying Blackpink had it easy tell me how come other big3 groups aren't as famous as them? Others should be too if big3 privilege was the case.
You can see once you praise Blackpink some fans just bandwagon hate on them saying they don't deserve it. We respect the fact that Bts grew up from nothing please respect the fact that Blackpink had a harder training experience since it's not easy to debut in a big3 company.

You all get that this is her opinion right- RM used to wear glasses because when they debuted he got a lot of hate for being unattractive. Difference between BP and Bangtan is that BTS debuted with the tiniest company and worked their way up, that’s why their net worth is so much lower then like EXO etc, because while working their way up they had a lot of debt company wise, so the money net worth didn’t go towards them. Later when they payed it all off they now begin collecting for themselves. While other kpop groups debuted with the biggest labels in Korea and had it all from the beginning. If you watch Run, or any of their older but still newer songs- they’d use their managers cars for props, anything they could get. So it’s quite amazing when you watch their videos and they’re still somehow top notch and creative

As an army blink, I thought this video was a lot of fun to watch. Totally agree with your opinions. Blackpink songs Stay and Hope Not have a bit more substance, but nowhere near the level that BTS has in songs like Fake Love, The Truth Untold or Outro: Tear (or even Jin's solo song Epiphany). Still, they all make bops and I'm glad I found someone who appreciates both groups.

Despite everything against them for ALL 7 YEARS of their career the media blackouts and discrediting their record/barrier breaking achievements, constant malicious rumors, so many more nasty hateful things done to BTS by the very same kpop 'community' designed to sabotage BTS at every turn of their career to NOW with BTS crushing every kpop entertainment company/community that looked down on them and intended for their failure.
Compared to......Blackpink the golden spoon idols that had everything handed to them on a platter including fame thanks to their company being one of the Big3 therefore connections with media networks, fanbase also thanks to the big brand influence of their company and senior artists, oh and even songs are handed to them. Without YG's name these girls will be lost in the sea of other many talented kpop female idols. While BTS had nothing to their name except for their own grit, determination, talent, strong will to survive and personal skills which they trained hard for. BTS were mocked for being dirtspoon idols and they were even mocked for making their own music at their debut. Kpop community is trash for this.
