    Getting out of inner city, moving to McKenzie town. Relaxed small vintage town feel,beautiful parks, slow pace which is exactly what a newly retiree like me wants. Not everybody wants busy busy.

      Different strokes for different folks for sure, Fred. Although this video was based on very walkable communities. It's a little different than McKenzie Town, although I do like McKenzie Town! I refer to it as "pleasant-ville". It has a unique feel to it.

    I have been in Calgary for the last 4 years and I really liked it so much that I can’t even go away just for one night❤❤ . I am also starting a new channel dedicated to showcasing the city and it’s beautiful people and culture. Can’t wait 😂

    Calgary house prices are ridiculous right now. 651K median for a single family house. Last 20 years incredible

      Definitely not what we've been used to in Calgary. There was a big jump in 2006 and then it was quite stagnant. We've been trailing other major centers in Canada for years. Now we've seen a bump, but we're still very affordable by comparison.

      You can likely get a good apartment downtown in the Beltline, Lower Mount Royal, or Mission and be able to walk to school and the market.

    Hello Sir, thank you for the video. I will be moving to Calgary in August to study in Bow Valley College. And which neighbourhood you recommend for a single student like me who needs to be close to transits but also somewhere that is not too much with the rent.

      That's a tough one because rent in Calgary is expensive. There is a greater concentration of rentals in the city centre, walking distance to the college. You may be able to find a competitively priced 1 bedroom or bachelor unit for rent there or just outside of the city centre. Other areas would be the NW of Calgary along the C-Train line or towards the NE close to the C-Train Line.

    SW OR NW?

    • @lifeincalgaryalberta
      @lifeincalgaryalberta  Рік тому

      Hey Sunny. Kensington is considered NW. Bridgeland is considered NE, Altadore is considered SW, and Inglewood is considered SE, but all are within the core neighborhoods (center) of Calgary.

      When it's winter, I will. Right now we're having a very hot spring as we lead into summer.
