This is the eighth book in Brides of Beckham, a series about mail-order brides who go west in the search for love.
When Clara's husband dies and leaves her with two children and a farm she can't run on her own, the bank evicts her small family, and she needs to find a new home fast. My favourite are the mail order series. I love the historical elements of how hard it was for the women to travel so far and take on the trail and the men and their individual family situations in all their innocence and survive to even love and change the men they choose.
