I'm curious about buying one of these engines myself. But I have some hang ups. How well do these perform? And how well do they stay maintained with proper care? Any feed back would be appreciated, thanks.
stoopidgir They're great little engines. I got mine for about $125 with a startor motor. It's a very cheap way to get into Karting. ... but they are NOT fast. Even when you spend $500 on parts to modify the engine it will still be nowhere near as fast as the 2 stroke "proper" go karts. If you want to go fast.... i would go buy a 2 stroke second had kart. We have another video on our other channel. This was made after I modified the engine a lot more. It now revs at about 7400rpm... I'll be doing more vids on what mods we did and how we got the torque converter to work. ua-cam.com/video/LF0f7ocQxOQ/v-deo.html Last thing - if you ever decide to take a 4 stoke kart on track, the 2 stroke karts will absolutely humiliate you. we did this and it was very embarrassing. But if you're never planning on going on a track it won't matter. Good luck.
Robert Giorlando thanks for the info. I plan on building a mini bike from the ground up so I was wondering about this engine or if I shud just go get a 2 stroke. Its just something for me to ride around on to get back and forth on.
Power and gear limited. I've done more work to the engine to get it to go faster, but then I changed the gearing so it accelerates as fast as possible, but this sacrifices the top end speed. But we can still get it to 79km per hour with the engine mods.
hi, question: what would be the topspeed without any modifications? thanks

Do a turbocharged converter+shifter (possibly automate) cart. XD
If only these things were road legal.😀😂🤔😖🤐😬
Clutch or torque converted?
Torque converter
Power or Gear limited?
