Shawn is a great story teller and an outstanding singer song writer. So talented and seems like a humble down to earth guy. Loved his shows with Verlon Thompson. Their Guy Clark tributes were great.

Shawn Camp has less than 6 degrees of separation from anyone in the music industry. What an interesting guy!

Otis, thanks for your Shawn Camp interviews. He and Bubby could write a country music history.

      Mr. Gibbs.
When I was younger I was a fan of a singer named Dan Fogelberg but I have found so few people who were connected to him or have any stories about him. All I know is he cut his first Solo Album in Nashville and he spent a lot of time in that City.

I’ve never known much about Dan Fogelberg either, but as a young teenager in the mid 1980s I absolutely loved his High Country Snows album. Until I saw your comment, I hadn’t thought about him or that album in ages, but I’m definitely going to have give a listen now, and research who all played on it because I think a lot of notable people were on that one.

John Prine is the soundtrack of my favorite memories and worst heartbreaks from 19 to 50. I love his statement that if you listened to his songs you knew him I always hoped that was the case. Thank you for the work you do Otis.

Shawn is from where I’m from in AR. My dad Buck Stringer had an old D-28 that Shawn played and liked…this was back in the 80’s and I believe he was still in high school.

You've heard John Anderson's song, "Wish I Could Have Been There" for that, well that's how I felt about this interview with Shawn. It was very good to hear those experiences he had with various artists. Thank you, Otis, for the work you do keeping us entertained.

I was in the Tally Ho Tavern a couple of times in the early seventies and there was a black and white picture on the wall by the bar of Kristofferson on stage. Written on the bottom was a note that said ". - (woman's name) I love you but I'm sure glad I don' work here anymore." It was signed: "Kris"

I played at The Everly Brothers Reunion Concert in Central City, Kentucky. As I walked pass the stairs going to the stage a fellow getting ready to go on asked, "Hey buddy, what's your name?" I stuck out my hand, told him my name, and he told me his...

Thank you Otis. This is just beautiful. The Tom T section must have been recorded before he passed. Apart from John Prine I don't think the death of any of my musical heroes has hit me as hard as Tom T. As a young person, "The Man Who Shot Himself" was a shocking song....are people allowed to sing about that? Years later the beauty of lines like "One Saturday he came to my father, said Virgil, would cut my hair for me please, My father was handy with razors and scissors and sometimes he'd cut hair for the guys on our street".....and "As young boys will do I sat watching my father, Dad kidded him some 'bout his jealous wife".....Norman Rockwell could never paint a more detailed picture of everyday life. Recently in Australia we got to see Ray Benson and Asleep at The Wheel with the amazing Brennen Leigh. Brennen's "Prairie Love Letter" paints those some type of word pictures.

Thank you Ottis, This might be my new favorite interview. From Rodger and Burito Ge.orge. Too Chris and Captin Jack. But when he spoke of John l lost it. I saw John 1 time. He was with Bonnie in Charlotte in summer of 92. I never saw anyone sing, play guitar, chew gum and smile that big all at one time. It was something l will never forget. Keep up this good work Ottis
