Been there done that! I learned with about 4 or 5 fiberglass over wood boats that if the decking is rotted out then the stringers and part of the transom is too. Usually it's caused by not keeping the boat covered when stored outside and failure to keep the bow elevated high enough. Drain plug out of coarse. I will only take on aluminum bass boats to restore for that reason. Even then the transom will have to be replaced if the boat becomes a bath tub.

I would never have done that with this noce of a boat! Please put new carpet down. It just looks better. Remember, this is still a nice bass boat, most people would have restored and put 3-5k into it as long as the motor was good! Would be new trolling motor, rewire it, new pumps, and electronics. I would love to have it..

Yeah i would definitely hide that floor with carpet.
just lay carpet on it and call it a day or get those stick on non slip pads they use for jet boats etc
