*In my Joe Dirt voice* “You mean to tell me you got a classic Plano tacklebox and not one Johnson silver minnow, no skitterwalk, lucky dogs, luny frogs, weedless or not, or even a dang whopper plopper?!”
Wow those ulcers came back with a vengeance Great job and explanations on your treatments. Nice landmark on the needle. You worked well as a team. So much easier when there is two working together. Good clean up at the end. Great vid guys.
Thanks Chris! They really did and it’s such a tough situation. It’s really great having a teammate and I know I wouldn’t be able to do half the stuff without her. The needle mark is a great spot so if a mark was ever left, it could never be seen by future viewers. A koi judge told me that trick.
I re homed them to a family with a larger pond. The wife and kids felt sorry for them and wanted to give them a good home. I talked to them about 2 weeks ago and they said they are still in the same condition but overall eating and still moving about. I appreciate you checking in and asking! 👌
I think the low volume voices were just communicating between us handing rags or meds and so on. Maybe the auto generating caption option would pick it up to display what was said.?
Great to see the fish is better..i'm battling costia and white spot atm...already done a PP treatment and just started the FMG. Not always plain sailing in the world of koi.
It can definitely be trying at times. This is one of them for me. Costia is a difficult one to get rid of and it can happen so quickly. Are your applications responsive to the treatments?
@@CapeFearKoi PP seems to have worked but the FMG is only at day 3 of the treatment. No fish seem to be jumping anymore so thats a good sign. early days tho.
Good to hear it’s been this long and they’re still around as Costia can act quicker at times, so that’s a good sign. Sounds like you have it under control at the moment.
It's a typical ulcer disease caused by an eromonas infection. It's important to have symptomatic treatment, but how to prevent the infection and increase the basic strength and immunity of KOI? It would be good if all of us who are on the right track could exchange information on this topic!
That bacteria is absolutely brutal. I know it’s typically from poor water quality and overall conditions or even rotting food stuck somewhere. I had this and a small buddy fish in 600 gallons with water changes and premium food(JPD) as well as medicated the food with oxolinic acid once a change in physical condition. I couldn’t agree more about exchanging information within the koi community to keep our fish healthy and strong. Of anyone had had a similar experience with answers or questions, or anyone going through a similar situation, feel free to to answer or ask a question in hopes of keeping these types of situations to a minimum.
This particular clove oil was from Doterra and is higher grade which means you don’t need as much when applying as a treatment. I’m not sure you can get on Amazon, but my fiancé is a rep and can typically get oil for cost to people who want it. Maybe it’s something she can work out with you. Or you may know someone locally who you can order from, but there’s a good chance they will have an up charge.
@@CapeFearKoi it was a video or two ago but it was considerably dark with some really vibrant shiny golden copper and I like how that one shined with a contrast the most how come the bigger ones seem to have a little more pop to them than the smaller ones
So can this little guys condition spread to the others in a pond with him? Or since you are guessing its stress from transport it would be something only he has to worry about? Also do Koi go after each other in situations like this? I know some fish like cichlids will tare a sick one apart depending on the situation.
Luckily koi are communal fish and don’t bother each other when sick. Technically, yes it can spread to others if the ones don’t have a strong immune system, but it’s definitely a good idea to remove from the pond to isolate for specific treatments as well as being able to monitor closely. It was never exposed to any of my other fish, as it’s been in qt since as soon as it arrived. I did hear there were other fish which came from the same place I got mine from and also became ill with similar symptoms, so I can’t really say where it did or didn’t come from. If it did come from an outside source, this is definitely a good example to why it’s so important to put new fish in quarantine when arriving for our ponds.

This tackle box is French.
It had Oxolinic Acid, Potassium Permanganate, praziquantel and even tricide neo!
Oui oui!!
All the effort you are making to heal that fish is heartwarming 🤍 Thank you for being you
We’re trying our best!
Hopefully the video gives everyday hobbyists the confidence to tackle a procedure if ever needed.
We’re hoping so.
You’re probably one of the only few people in the world with fish care in your tackle box
It’s probably not too common!! 😂
I’m still trying to figure out this comment 🤣
Pretty sure he means it’s typically seen where a tackle box does quite the opposite to fish.
That boy saw irony in that tharr video.
I love the fish so much
Thank you so much. That’s very sweet!! 💕
Awesome video guys massive thanks for sharing 👍
Most definitely welcome! We’re hoping it gives other koi keepers the confidence to treat if ever needed. 👍 👌
Again cool vid 👌🤙🤙👍👍
Hope sick koi improves for you soon 🙏🤞
Thank you Coo Koi, I really appreciate that!!

Cracking video dude 🤞🤞🤞 for the fella
Thanks so much! We truly appreciate it! 👍
Officer! The bottle of vodka is for the fish, I swear!
Had to put the disclaimer in there. Lol
Now I have to figure how cranberry juice benefits koi health.

Awesome! Hope I get it out for everyone soon!
Nice, can you give more update of the koi in the future?
Sure thing my friend. I’d be happy to!
Hello whats the update on those koi you rescue that was struck by lightning? Those that have a peculiar swimming behavior?

Could have done without the background music , as it was hard to hear what was being said.

What do you call that gray one with the golden shininess to it I'm coming to buy that one as soon as I get paid
Which one? Where did you see it?

Could have been a Ochiba Shigure. They are darker gray with golden or bronze steps/pattern at times. Great fish overall.

How do you buy the antibiotic?

It’s a wee bit grody.
