Always a pleasure to spend a few mins (or 15) getting the lowdown in your esteemed company. One month membership anniversary today and I'm genuinely surprised at how much wonderful extra content I've enjoyed for a mere $1.99 per month! Thanks David.
Getting through really bad food poisoning after eating something I shouldn’t have. Your videos are helping me get through it. Didn’t have the energy to do any tricks a day or so ago...getting better. Thanks
Superlative review, David! Looks like it’s time for me to buy another book! I especially loved your comments on the marked deck handling whic of course extends to all gaffs. I have been preaching that for decades! Thanks!
Hi David, Well on the strength of your review of 'Harparcrown Too' I went and treated myself to all 3 of the books you have referenced. They look and feel and smell such beautiful books. I'm almost frightened to break the spell and read them! Hope you're well😁
David, at 0.51 in the video, what are the 2 black books you have there? See you have the 'Card College' collection too, have to say was one of the first series of books I was able to get and never regretted it. Was very lucky to find a 'used' deal on the full set and they honestly didn't even look like they had been opened, let alone read. Even got that satisfaction of breaking the spine in properly 😂
@@SteveTemkin the essays in Harpacrown Too compliment those in the first volume but are very different. The essays in Harpacrown Too are Routining and Scripting, Building an Act, You Got to Have Friends and Brain Farts. In the bonus section there is an essay from Marc Spelmann Making Miracles and one from Peter Turner called Equilibrium.
@@markchandaue2218 Thanks for clearing it up. I had a brain fart and thought this was a review for the new book... I was familiar with the original essay on Magician's Guilt (one of the top ten pieces of all magic writing, up there with Staniforth, Derren, and Jermay). I need to pay closer attention to UA-cam videos.
This is off topic but I don’t know another way to reach you. Two questions. Please and thank you ahead of time sincerely. Have you found any really good two person code system that is way to learn? Can you please review New thought transmitter compared to original or second? They claim it’s version 3 and the best. Originally, Such a great idea. Wondering if the latest version is i nline with earlier ones and worth the effort. The promo vid is useless. Thanks again.
So... You might mention this (I'm only halfway through the video), but should we go for the deluxe edition (£75 more), or just enjoy the regular edition?
The main difference between the two editions is the overall production quality. The Collectors Edition is the book that I wanted to write. I produced the soft back to make it more accessible to those on a lower budget. Whilst the additional content in the Collectors Edition is great the real value in the Collectors Edition is that it is a book for book lovers. If all you care about is the content then the standard edition will give you 85-90% of the content. I never made a Standard Edition of Harpacrown Too because the Standard edition of the original was not as popular as the Collector’s Edition. However I would say only go for the hard back because you want a beautiful book to keep in your library rather than for the additional content.

Harpacrown... sounds like music in my head. Love it!!

Thanks so much!
Thank you for this review:)
Glad it was helpful!
The "Magician's Guilt" essay in "Harpacrown" 'Prime' is one of my favorite pieces of writing on magic. Is this same essay in "Too?"
No. but I did a review - did you see it?
Yup... But the essay on Magician’s Guilt sounds similar. Also: your reviews are great.

I suppose that depends on your pocket book - and if you think the extra editions are worth it to you

love your videos!. what are the top propless-mentalism books?
I dont know about books - if you're new to propless mentalism I'd start with Atlas Brookings LIVE (Penguin LIVE)
@@magicorthodoxy thanks!
Phedon Bilek has the best propless mentalism I have every seen. Sybil is a great DVD. Orion are excellent books. Just my opinion.
