My opinion? You are definitely the Mr. Rogers of magic review channels. I mean that to be a high compliment. Teaching everyone of all ages more than just new magic products coming out...and absolutely no swear words.

Great review, as always. Thanks David! Think you forgot to mention the price which is quite relevant in this case - an astronomical £125 in the UK (!!!) which excludes those of who aren't rolling in disposable cash. No matter how great the book, this is just insane, elitist pricing.
$170 in USA
Alas quality costs. This is priced in line with other recent mentalism books. Bigger Fish 1 £150, Bigger Fish 2 £200, APOMM Hard back £100 Eric Samuels Setting the Stage £150. Rogues Manual £120, Architect of the Mind £100, Mythology Codex £135. Then of course you have things like Train Tracking and the Black Project at £300 each.
The market for mentalism books is much smaller than magic books and this is why they are far more expensive. I was able to make Totally Free Will cheaper because it appeals to magicians as well as mentalist.
I made a soft back version of the original Harpacrown to make it more accessible but the more expensive hard back is the one that sold. I’m out of hard backs now but still have soft backs left.
This particular book took 4 years to write and cost close to ten grand to produce.
However if your circumstances put this book out of your reach contact me on Facebook and I am sure between instalment plans or discounts we could find a way to make it possible for you to own it. At the very least I could jump on a video call and teach you some of the effects.

My comment wasn't intended as an attack on your book in particular, but rather a critique of the trend you describe. I completely understand the costs that go into publishing that you describe. I come from a social sciences background where publishing takes years of toil and hard work, with proportionately very little reward. So maybe that skews my thinking. I know the demand is there for books at these kinds of prices. But I just think it's a mistake to let the market dictate how our magical knowledge is made available. Many will disagree with me, but I'm strongly for a model of knowledge sharing that makes information available to everyone who wants it and can benefit from it, not just those who can afford it. I'm sad to see the trend in magic and mentalism towards high prices that, as a fairly working class kid with not much cash, would have made me think the world of magic isn't for "people like me". It's a much bigger discussion but think magic and mentalism would benefit from some of the more collegiate sharing systems you get in other fields. I really appreciate your kind offers and may take you up on them. The book looks like a wonderful resource. Congratulations on what I'm sure is a phenomenal piece of work. Like you say, good magic to all!

Love Love Magic Books! Have 100s of them... My Favourite of All time is Will Goldston’s “Exclusive Magic Secrets “ from around a 100 years ago... Got my reprint copy from Dover for Xmas as a 10 year old in the 1970s & it’s signed by dozens of Magicians...! As David says all the time; the best stuff is hidden in Books...! 👍🎩😃 🇸🇱

Does anybody have this in a standard addition ?
I did not produce this in a Standard Edition because the Standard Edition of the first version was nowhere near as popular as the collectors edition.
