  • I make a lot of these. I didn't come up with the idea but this is how I do it.

    Great sound on the bells, will keep in mind if I ever build a church, never know. The no-nonsense manufacturing process is a merit on it's own.

    Very cool end product.
    My only complaint is your lack of PPE.
    Gloves, face shield (I assume), the guard on your 4" grinder and I don't see any hearing protection anywhere.
    The reason I bring these things up is that I don't want some young kid seeing how you're doing this and think that that's the way it should be done and possibly getting injured because of your lack of safety leadership.
    I'm really not trying to bust your balls but if you're going to put out content in a public forum then you should take responsibility for your actions or lack of.
    Just something to keep in mind.
    Sorry to sound like a safety snob but we dictate what the next generation is going to do by our actions. Why not show them the correct way.
    Be safe out there everybody.

      You forgot one most important ,using respirator when using angle grinder -othervise you get lugs full of dust and silica carbide - a lung fibrosis,aka your lungs are fucked ,full of tiny holes.
      Only way to cure it is transplant. And for a country with no free medical care thats a big risk to take that can be mitigated by using 20$ respirator.

    • @VooDooTennessee
      @VooDooTennessee  2 роки тому +2

      I use situational appropriate ppe based on my own ability and situation, I can assure both of you that when I need to I wear gloves, a face shield, have grinders with guards on them, and if I am really doing some grinding I put on a respirator. If you look again Jonny you will note I am wearing ear pro when grinding. My shop my rules, thanks for watching.

    A waste of a lot of material. If you have a big tank, make a big bell.

    • @VooDooTennessee
      @VooDooTennessee  8 місяців тому +3

      Well that is one way to do it, I'll tell you why I don't. First off I waste no material. I can easily make at least 3 bells from a tank, even if I just make two and have a center left I use it. Cut down the center and have some nice medium carbon plate! It has been my experience that the big bells don't sell as quick. Not only do they not sell as quick, I make less money. 1 big bell sells for around $300 or $350 in my market. Now three smaller bells, $200 for the top tank bell, $150 for the center and $175 for the Bottom bell. If you're making one for your self sure make a big bell. If you are making your living doing this then you'll learn. Thanks for watching.
