THE BEST CASTING FOR MURAD. The young Murad and the adult Murad literally look like the same person. Murad's casting from a child to the Sultan was the best on this show❤
I must say there's nothing more soothing than a mother's lap. When mothers place their hand on your head, consider this is a gift from God. Cause whatever you do she will be the person to forgive you even when the World is not ready to forgive you. Mothers have a power to move the mountains.
No doubt he is the most cruel Sultan of the empire and at the same time the only sultan who loved her mother the most. He loved the power more than anything else but loved his mother unconditionally
Honestly, the character of Murad IV is the best thing about this season. Such a talented actor playing the role of a great and complex sultan. This was a perfect casting! So many talented actors in Turkey. Hope they make more of these series, as there is so much to cover in Ottoman History still. Unfortunately the level of the writing in the series has been in decline since the Original series. The settings are also far more limited.
If Kosem had been male She could have been considered "great". That's the reason everyone sees woman the weakest one. That's the reason her kids hated her so much. They just wanted to see her as merely harem ruler or housewife....
Kemankes...❤️❤️❤️ How he was saved from execution, the scene was heart touching.Silent chemistry between him and Kosem is much more loving than anything ❤️❤️
Kosem's last words to murad, and her tears... i dont think it was fake. And he even imagine himself hugging his mother before passing away. Despite everything, they truly love each other...
Sometimes I feel like Ayse sultana was the good luck charm of murad's life.. life became a disaster when murad started ignoring her and ended up losing both of his children and ayse.
In real life Ayse Sultan lived long after the death of Sultan Murad and died in 1680 during the reign of Sultan Mehmet IV . Her sons died in infancy and among her children only Kaya Sultan survived.
That's what happened to Napoleon Bonaparte too.. His star fades when he abandoned his first wife Josephine. A wife is sometimes the luck for her husband
We love, hate, admire, despise Sultan Murad because the character portrayal is beyond excellent. The actor does an outstanding job and deserves an Oscar. Hats off to the actor and the team. 👏👏👏👏👏 @Meťin Aķdulgar
@@thisutube123 In that case, you should also question young Suleiman’s inordinately close friendship with Ibrahim, in Manisa first and then in his first year as sultan. The tall, slight, melancholic, fair-haired young man by his own admission used to escape his guard together with Ibrahim and spent hours reading, discussing history, philosophy and even had Pargali sleep in his bedroom. Halit Bey mentions those expeditions when they return to Manisa together with Mustafa and Mehmet and they go hunting, when the arrow accident happened.Close friendship for lonely young shezades.
In series, Murad only wanted to get kosem to listen to him, he loved her more than anything... I think their biggest mistake is that they never sat and discuss all their feelings..both very stubborn, Murad kept acting cruel towards everyone and everything and kosem was stubborn.. in the end, kosem won once again. Even if that witch from episode 7 or 8 whatever did not exist, it all happened that way. In real life is a different case but kosem witnessed everyones death around her. Kosem is the strongest figure of the ottoman dynasty in her life.. she had more power than a sultan and that is truly amazing..
In what way did she win her battle against murad. Murad when he took power was the sole person in control of the empire. Kosem was the most influential person in her lifetime except when Ahmed was alive and when murad ended her regency and took control. Besides those years then u could say she was the one in power. They were both stubborn but in the end murad was the sultan and she had to obey and she even admits that murad made her bow. I’d say murad early death was due to self destructiveness as he kept drinking causing his liver to fail. No doubt he hated everyone especially seeing how osman died with humiliation which had a profound effect on the way he rules. But in the end I don’t see how kosem beat him since he was in complete control before succumbing to his sickness.
@@lutfiasad7335 she beat him, she was more powerful in all ways. She never obeyed to him and he was angry about it as he admitted it before he dies. Kosem never obeyed to anyone. What she said was just to calm Murad, he never got her to bow to him, the opposite happened in all cases. This cruel sultan can't beat the mighty valide. As soon as Ahmed died, her sultanate began and was the strongest sultana ever existed in dynasty up to her death.
@@DimSK. no she didn’t beat him: it was shown multiple times throughout the series that murad refused to let kosem get involved in the empire affairs and she was frustrated about that. She tried to overthrow him and it resulted in kasim death and kosem imprisonment. Have you forgotten when murad went into the janissaries barrack and threatened to behead them all if they tried to challenge him when kosem was saying kasim would be sultan. What did the janassaries and kosem do, nothing. They bowed their heads literally and stayed silent. Murad was feared he wasn’t the same as osman and he had many allies with him since a lot of the janissaries backed him since he was a sultan that fought alongside them. Obviously the show is dramastised but even in real life it known that murad took control when kosem was losing grip and rebellions and corruption was rampant. He took control and ended it and once the internal affairs was sorted he started to conquer. Kosem backed him in real life and didn’t question his authority as he was a sultan of age. The way I see it the only reason for murads death was his self destructiveness. Murad ended beating himself just like the sheikh said he would do cause he was angry all the time. After his death kosem took control as Ibrahim was weak. As for the part where u say that she told murad that she bowed to calm him down, the way I say it was kosem being honest with him and finally admitting that he was stronger since he was going to die and wanted closure. Murad and kosem are alike as they r both stubborn or strong, only difference was murad was a sultan and authority was placed on him to take control.
@@lutfiasad7335 I'm talking only based on series here. Kosem was more powerful than Murad but never used the power to punish him , that's why this happened in janissary barracks. One word of her in barracks would end Murad, the janissary waited for kosems order and she decided to stay silent because it's her son standing there, not enemy. Kosem didn't want to kill Murad, what she planned, she planned to do it peacefully and in shadows without harm. She never bowed to anyone, Murad said it himself too. Real life is another case. No matter what Murad said and did, as you saw too, kosem always involved. He can't beat the mighty valide. He warns her, she doesn't listen, He exiles her, she comes back. He imprisons her, she manage to get out. He orders Ibrahims death, she intervenes twice and prevents it. He orders her execution, she escapes, storms in palace and faces Murad and Murad does nothing, he gets her to her apartment so doctors can take care of her when she faints. Murad was powerless against Kosem, he backed off execution. Kosem saved kemankes pasha despite murads order. Kosem beat Murad without using the 5% of her power. Simple and easy.
@@DimSK. no she didn’t punish him because she couldn’t do it the janissaries themselves were afraid. Have you forgotten when osman wanted to take mehmed from the janissaries barracks they pulled their swords out to stop him. Murad literally went inside their barracks and threatened to chop their heads off if they challenge him with a sword he took from them and they said nothing. That hasn’t been done since suleiman. No one said anything because they feared him. Also kosem tried to overthrow him afterwards when she got the janissaries to help but it failed and ended up with kasim death and she was imprisoned, as for the janissaries and judge that were involved they ended up executed, so I don’t know where u get that she was always winning. You say kosem never bowed to him but murad never bowed to her. Murad had plenty of times to kill her if he wanted to especially after when she was in jail but when he saw her sick he returned her back to his room. I don’t know how you interpreted that as kosem getting out from her own free will when she collapsed on the floor. That shows that murad no matter what he does kosem was the only women he loved and the same can be said for kosem with murad. They both were hesitant with each other because they were both similar to each other. Towards the end murad was at his death bed and people didn’t want to see the dynasty end which is why Ibrahim was saved by Hussein, and not kosem. Hussein was loyal to murad till the end until the point which would have put the empire in a crisis. Like I said murad was self destructive in the end and everyone knew he was gonna die so there was no point in being behind him. Kemankes was saved by with Hussein help. It was shown multiple times that kosem had to backed down when murad challenged and she hated it. In the time skip when murads twins grew up kosem says that murad doesn’t let her get involved and she has no power over him. Lastly as for coming back from exile, she even states when murad comes back to him that she wanted to greet and she was going to go back to exile until murad tells her to stay. In the end the final day was with murad. I won’t get into the matter where turhan defeated her, but it is true kosem was powerful during her time at the castle except when Ahmad and murad were in charge and when turhan had to get rid of her in the end.
This is the most saddest episode ...I did my best to hold my tears 😭😭😭 but I couldn't when Murad's daughter told " is he going to die too" I believe she was the only innocent character through out the whole series she lost her mom and now she is about to lost her father too in such a small age 😭😭😭😭😭

What a painful death of a powerful sultan🙂..... Kosem-murad's last monents and conversations ended all enmity... Murad loved her mother more than anyone, Kosem also wanted to protect all her children more than anything... But a contast misunderstanding remained between them... They never sat together to discuss their own feeling about each other.. Murad misunderstood his mother considering that his mother is overshadowing him, on the other hand Kosen, being a mother always wanted to protect him from the evils as she had failed in case of Osman... Kosem was proud of Murad, but instead of seeing a powerful sultan she wanted to see her child Murad alive and the dynasty stable.... All the misunderstanding resolved with the death of Murad... What a powerful message... And Metin Akdulger, you have done a total justice to the character of Sultan Murad just like Halit Ergenc did to Sultan Suleyman... We, the viewers got totally involved with the character, we got angry for sultan's cruelty, on the other hand we felt pain seeing the powerful sultan as a alone soul, seeing the mother son dwell... Kudos to Metin, I have become a mesmerized fan of you.. Hope to see your more work🌼

Yes, because this mother's ambition is a fulfilled dynasty, not limited to family. She was the mother of the dynasty too. making decision as a mother is hard and as a ruler is hard too. How do you think the job as a mother and ruler is easy together? Sometimes, she will have conflicts and give up on one job for the other. this is life!
According to the drama title (kosem) the director had to portrait kosem is a wonder women. They only show what was going around her. Other political matters, wars everything handled by Kings.
It's just this feminist era that hype them like that. Reality was they were concubines selected for obedience, and except for one or two, rarely outspoken or wielding political influence.
The fight between Kosem and Murad was "generation gap" caring, protecting and thinking that her son is still a child is common in mothers. But Murad took it as humiliation! Secondly it was difficult to accept that one woman can really have the ruling power more than a man who is also a sultan! Men's Ego hurts. Good or bad different but this was true Kosem has the leadership quality, that was her main enemy. Thirdly sultan Murad may be a strong person but not a good person at all! Still he believes Sinan Pasha more than his blood relation! He always believes other than his family others are really Royal to him!

32:32 Kösem's walk made me feel nostalgic about the Sultan's walk. A walk with resolve to get things done at any cost. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I don't think even Hurrem could walk like that. 👍🏻
@Shayan Javed I accept it. I love her too. But just at that moment which mentioned, I felt that way. Still I think Hurrem had Sultan Suleyman all through her life. She was not alone. She had his love, support and encouragement in many aspects. Whereas Kösem lost Sultan Ahmed at a very young age and had to fight all alone. I feel hers is a greater sultanate. My opinion. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@Shayan Javed Now that I think more, they are worlds apart. You can't compare Hurrem to Kösem. Both are different in their own way. Love them both. ❤️❤️❤️
@@DimSK. Absolutely true. You can't compare as their lives are totally different. At that moment when I saw Kösem's walk I felt like that. I am not comparing them. Like every human they too have their own flaws. 👍🏻
I have watched Hurrem series and now Kosem. Among all the sultans I love Sultan Murad. The actor who played Sultan Murad made it a masterpiece. Love from Kerala, India..
Why i feel that Murad first love is Kosem sultan? He try so hard to get rid of her, but can not hurt her even a bit. It makes me think that he loves farya for her personality recemblance Kosem. Even at his last breath, he only though about her mom, Kosem Sultan
Such a well done series! While not 100% accurate, it's still high quality entertainment. I even started reading the real history of the Ottoman Empire! So I guess we get entertainment and education! Without MC I probably would never have known about these amazing historical figures. Thank you!
Atleast Kosem Sultan kept the Dynasty Alive! Also, she had Sacrificed her Life, Family, Religion, Loved ones and alikes all just for the Dynasty that she had no whatsoever was linked to.
true after that sacrificed she did to save the dynasty, for me she owned the ottoman dynasty already....and its a shame for safiya to get back the empire wherein she run away rather than to save it...
No,they meant that she covred him (emprisoned his power and controled him), and just made him her toy while she was the actuall sultan and the one who ruled the empire.
It has 2 meanings. Queen Mother Kösem thinks she is protecting him and the dynasty. Sultan Murad thinks his mother is a shadow in his power and challenges his rule
What a strong command....kosem sultan...she always kept her word and promise...that she will always look after the dynasty and protect it....she did it till the last drop of her blood.... 😇😇😇😇
Everybody says kosem is power greedy ,but we can see how much is murads greed for power ,he will never share power with his mother .....he is not willing to give his throne to his brother even after his death ,how dangerous is his selfish mind
Murad’s ego is too big he even wants to destroy Ottoman Empire to spite his mother. Unlike Murad, his mother thinks about the empire first then family like a monarch should in those times.
All I see is the insanity in this family at various forms. Kosem was from a good family and innocent but all the cruelty and betrayal made her fear too and hence made her decisive to choose her path which on the way she was cruel and injustice at some points with multiple wrong decisions which at the beginning she was trying to avoid but......she got infected by her fears too. Karma hunting this family..
absolutely not. Kosem only wanted power and a puppet. he did think of the empire hence the Crimeans. he could have been the next Suleiman the magnificient. what a man.he did not want people to fall prey to his mother's ego. including his brother.
@Huso Ucar who create the empire? Is Osman or Crimean kaghanate? Why they should take over the dynasty. I don’t get that part. Please explain it to me if you can.
Arguably, Murad IV was the last powerful Sultan the Ottoman Dynasty could produce. His death saddens me. He was just as innocent as Mustafa, but power and the situation twisted him or I would say traumatized him. The byproduct was his cruelty.
Over 33 (1898-1908) Years of ABDUL HAMID The Magnificent Caliph was good, in the end, the Zionist and infighting broke the empire. It has always been like that
Sultan Murad was turned into a Beast by its own people's, dear, near and loved ones, he very early on saw the killing of his brother Sultan Osman who was humiliated and killed by the very people's it took Oath to protect the Dynasty.
Mustafa's scenes are so emotional and Ibrahim's constantly being a target of Murad is annoying. Murad forgiving Sinan and giving orders against him mother is showing how blinded he was by the entire Sultan of the world madness. Murad getting Mustafa killed was so wrong he was extremely harmless
Yes all the time people thought Kosem is proud but in this and last episode people realise that Murad was so egoistic and angry that he would rather kill everyone and end the empire instead of letting any other from his family rule.
No one take into account what kosem did to drag Murad to such a level. Put yourself in his place and think about the betrayals from day one and how every one even his mother stand against him and poison him and then live kosëm. I bet you can't
Murad says his mother is the disaster but see him...... He tried to kill everyone and trying to end his dynasty .Sure Ahmet ,his father will cry in the heaven for killing poor Mustafa
@@islamonlysolution461 nope. Cruelty is not solution to save. Kosem's thinking of state is right according as a leader. As a mother she failed. As a mother she injustices with her son. Interestingly, she is right and wrong also together.
Only mistakes made by Kosem Sultan was not taking actions by killing all those against her and moreover to those who poisons the Sultan ears when she had the chance in the very first place itself.
If Murad should have listened to his mother Kosem sultan he wouldn't end up in that situation. I appreciate Kosem sultan for protecting her children from all the crisis. She is a great mother.

If Kosem had been male She could have been considered "great". That's the reason everyone sees woman the weakest one. That's the reason her kids hated her so much. They just wanted to see her as merely harem ruler or housewife....
yep that's true
I’m totally agree with you 👍🏻
thats what they told she ruled the empire more than like a man
As always, throughout history femenine power oppressed. If you want to feel powerful, be an incubator, that's it.
The actor taking the role of Sultan Murad is the best actor in this century!
All the lost Kosem suffered and managed to keep that strong independent soul of hers is amazing.

She was well liked by kosem, was obedient and happy with whatever was given to her. Could've been a decent one.
Allah was angry with him when he couldn't justify both his wife
In real life Ayse Sultan lived long after the death of Sultan Murad and died in 1680 during the reign of Sultan Mehmet IV . Her sons died in infancy and among her children only Kaya Sultan survived.

In
real life is a different case but kosem witnessed everyones death around her.

Goodbye Sultan Murad. Your mother loved you the most, proud of you the most. OMG! I am soooo crying now!!!!😭😭😭
What a painful death of a powerful sultan🙂.....
It has always been like that
He was cruel without reason. He killed Mustafa poor without reason, everybody was an enemy because he was cruel man

Everything was superb, but the female cast should have been wearing traditional clothes, such as sheer bubble pants. Sometimes I got Tudor Vibes and I expected Henry VIII to be sitting on the throne. I understand it is only based on the past, as for the storyline you also need to use your creative license. Seriously Turkey has a beautiful history and like many monarchies of the day brutal. I dont look for accuracy when watching a historical show (unless its a documentary) but I and others like to imagain we are witnessing history - just saying - otherwise absolutely stunning, especially when choosing the cast eg. young Murad and mature Murad, young Hatice and Ibraham, mature Hatice and Ibrahim even their daughter. - nothing but amazing.
