For people who might have missed it because it is not shown in an obvious way here, what we have in the last scene is a missing man formation. It's an aerial salute performed in memory of fallen pilots. The plane which pulls up in to the sky symbolizes the fallen pilot who has went up to the heavens. Look it up, it's beautiful.
@yat9779 Yah I know. In my opinion, the war isn't helping Russia or Ukraine. I wish it could just end, but sadly reality is it can't just end like that.
I watched the movie called "Devotion" and I gotta say it's a masterpiece in my book, with all the struggles he had to go through from his allies and enemies, just for a heartbreaking ending with a quote for all of us to hear, he will never be forgotten for his bravery and determination to fight until the end for his country.
Was really suprised how good it was. Only watched it because it came out at roughly the same time as maverick and I really wanted to know why they thought that was a good idea.
I did not like the movie because in my opinion they could’ve done better to make it more accurate to the book, for example, they never shot down a Mig-15 fighter jet and Jesse blew up that bridge with bombs not rockets I’m pretty sure
devotion was a good movie, It was sad that Jesse died. Jesse was an amazing person, and I am awed that Hudner risked capture to save him, where others would fly away and get help from helos
Imagine, having a friend that would crash an airplane to try to save you. Now that is true devotion. Shame he couldn't save him. But at least he wasn't alone at the end.
The missing man formation at the end as Jesse peels way into heavens brought a tear to my eye. I have become fascinated by Jesse's short but exemplary life and you have done his and Tom Hudner's memories a great service.
Damn, you guys have stepped up your graphics to an unbelievable level. The stories you tell are always some combination of inspiring, harrowing, heart breaking, and unbelievable. I'm truly pleased to know that someone with the talent and resources that you and your team (I assume you have a team) are dedicated to remembering and passing on the stories if those who may have otherwise faded to history... But stop making me all choked up damnit!!

Very heartwrenching and amazing at the same time. The story telling ability at Yarnhurb through art and through narration has provided many a tear on this day. Thank you for telling this story.
I was there when you published your first video about this story, so this is all the more exciting to see a newer fresh version of the story with amazing graphics. Keep on going yarnhub team, just dont burn yourselfs out tho.
Seeing how this was a remake of a video from 3 years ago, shows the amount of progress and how much your skill has grown in between the years. No words can describe just how beautiful the animations are, bravo!
What hurts is that the movie flopped in theaters. Having read the book and seen the movie, it’s a fantastic adaptation, and I really wish more people were able to see it.
The animation is godly. Absolutely amazing! I can’t wait for the next video! And take your time, making these videos in such High quality must take so much time, so make sure to take your time and to not rush the next video.
if anyone is wondering, there was a movie recently made about this called Devotion, they managed to make the movie with real aircraft from the era, and it is definitely a hidden Gem.
Wait, I saw a film literally 3days ago on Amazon prime. It was about this event. The name is devotion. I love this channel, it fill the holes of historical events that I didn't know. Go on, you're doing a great job.
Very touching! I've known this story from other source before, but your rendition of all those eye gesture and facial gesture, plus the high similarity of their appearance to their photos, added lots of mood to the video!
If that was a reference to the missing man formation at the end it was a nice touch. I have seen it once before and it brings a tear to my eye every time.
this is like the upgraded version of the old one cuz i remember you making a video about a pilot crash landing due to problems in his plane and then a friend crash landing beside him then his frend dies, like around 2 or 1 year ago but is ok. i loved this story and its actually my favourite, to bad Jesse dint make it and keep up the good worklove ur videos👍
The emotions conveyed in the graphics are .... well, beautiful beyond belief. You would think, watching it, that you were watching real, live actors, but they convey far more than film can do. At least, please God, they are together again now.
As every week passes, and with each new video I am sounding more, and more like a broken record. Each week I say “this is Yarnhubs best video yet”. That is a testament to how everyone in their team improves, and strives for better with each passing video. The heart and passion of every story beams through the retelling of each pivotal episode. The courage, and honor shown in this story is what all of we Veterans, and those currently serving strive to uphold, and honor. This story is a reminder that even in the angst of uneasy times the best of humanity always tries to find a way to rise above it.
YarnHubs animations were great the first time they made this video. V 2.0 is a real testament to how much they have improved and it’s astounding. I’d like to imagine that these brothers of the skies met at the gates above. “I’m sorry for failing to bring you home””you brought me home to my wife in your heart. That’s more that enough. Let’s take one more flight together”… then they fly through the skies of heaven
I love this reboot! This is why I loved Devotion. It was such a good story and movie. And now this? Amazing. Truly a great friendship and great depiction of this story.
Dont know how historically accurate Devotion is, but it was a damn good movie imo. Really illustrated just how deep the friendship and loyalty went and how heartbreaking the circumstances of the loss were. Regardless, a great story and a great man.
Toms's voiceover gave me chills, I wasn't expecting to hear it told in his actual voice. Such a cool and awesome way to hear the story straight from the horses mouth so to speak. Hope to see more of that in the future! Thanks for the awesome films!
I honestly did cry after the video ended, this is why Yarnhub is one of my absolutely favorite history channels, and honestly should have a way larger following than it does
Wow, stumbling upon this video brought back memories! Two years ago, I actually wrote a report on this very topic, and let me tell you, seeing it brought to life through this incredible animation is mind-blowing. The attention to detail and the way the visuals draw you in is simply amazing. Kudos to the creator for their talent and dedication in making such immersive content!
