You can really tell you've put a lot of effort in this one. And it paid off =D. Cool shots, good music. Love seeing the "failures", they make this vlog so good. Looking forward to your next vid.
Wow Magnus! This is probably your best vlog until now (in my opinion). Beautiful shots, nice climbing, and Sasha and you go really well together as climbing/ filming partners. Love your channel, keep up the great work!
You two are meant to climb together. All comments aside and i surely don't know the ins and outs of your relationship, you two are great on a wall. Confidence, quality, understanding, comfort, and most of all communication.
I come back here every year to watch the Jordan vlog all over again. I guess the chemistry Magnus and Sasha have and the great quality of this videos are the main reason I rewatch this content idk jajaja
Oh my God, this is one of the most beutiful ones you got!! Only started watching the channel a month ago or so, it would be cool to see something like this in more recent videos, it's unbelievable!!
At this point I'm starting to believe the bag check person at Magnus' home airport doesn't like him and is sending them to the wrong destinations on purpose.
I am in love with the rock. I fully expected choss when I saw the far off shots, but the rock looked Suuuuper good up close, and a 400m route?!? What an untapped playground. Really jealous, looks like a wonderful place to climb!
Yo Magnus you're chill dude. I started climbing 2 months ago in part due to these videos and even though I am still battling with my V2 boulder problems these videos get me psyched and make me want to climb harder.

I have to say this is one of the most epic climbing vlogs i have seen in a long time, the quality of the video footage in addition with this exquisite choice of music. What an exposure, sooooo good! No need to mention that the two of you are just the most entertaining characters and great to watch. Cheers xx
That piano music though, so beautiful to match the epic shots. Fresh change from the usual trai ing vids, which are also very inspiring. Thanks and keep em coming!
This was incredible. I think this must be one of the most visually stunning videos Ive seen so far. Atleast for me. The wall, the texture of the rock. The view. Just blew me away. And the chemistry between you and Sasha is fantastic. Really liked how you guys set up like an interview where you talked about the climb afterwards. Really enjoyed this one!

I've been following your channel for a long time but for some reason i've never watched this one till now. Wow wow wow and wow again. And Sasha is a really cool human being
Absolutely! I like to tie the ends together- that way, the two parts stay together, I can't lower off, and I won't forget to take the knot out when I'm pulling it.
This vlog has it all! Got the feels with the wide shots and music. Not many people mentioned this, but the chemistry between you two is so genuine and palpable. The "rock man" was all smiles in this one! #sashaandmagnusrock
Dude your Videos are INSANELY good - I especially like the drone shots, they seem to work with climbing very well. As a spectator, you can now finally see the whole situation and get a grasp of what bigwall means :)
So cool, you two just look like you have so much fun!!! Thanks for sharing. Your videos are the best out there, your edits are just so good. I can watch for hours.
I must say that those videos are much more beautiful in every sense, than those of late, like doing stupid march routines etc. Wasn't aware how big the difference got, until I re-watched this. I'd really enjoy some more of THOSE videos now and then @Magnus Midtbø
I’m hosting my first ever meet up at Oslo Klatresenter Dec 1st. It will be a very laid back meet up where I hope to climb and meet as many of you as possible. Climbing together as friends. This was one of the first magnus videos I ever watched. I came back today to watch it. The cinematography and storytelling in this video (and really your vlog in general) is spectacular! Thank you Magnus you always get me so hyped to go climb
waooh, what an epic vlog, magnus! Epic shots and a good story, bloody love it! Love the balance between focusing on climbing and having laid back talks with us. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your next vlog :D

No worries - I'll give it a shot ; ) This climb includes several 'pitches' or rope lengths. When you are descending, you rappel one rope length at a time, set up a new anchor, and then rappel down again. It sounds like he accidentally rappelled past the anchor point, so he was going to run out of rope before reaching the next one. When rappelling you are 'sliding' down the rope with a belay device. If he didn't tie a safety knot at the end, the end of the rope could of slid right through his belay device and he would have plunged to his certain death. @@wildoranges
If anyone ever managed to really sell Jordan to the world, it would be you guys ❤️ Rockclimbing or not, this series of videos really portrays Jordan in a beautiful way. Thank you, the both of you! Not only for that, but for everything you`ve shared in this journey ❤️
Magnus, that moment with the drone zooming in on the wall to slowly reveal the sheer scale of the rock as you and Sasha become visible was awesome. Reminded me of the final shot of Adam Ondra on Silence (recommend anyone reading this to check that out if you haven't seen it).
Wow. Magnus i loved everything about this. Its really a first class film. The drone shots of the wall were breathtaking. Now im just gonna put it out there and say there is an awesome chemistry between these two. Just imagine if they had kids one day. They would probably be the most beautiful children the world had ever seen. 🙏🏼🙏🏼😘
Definitely one of your best videos, Magnus, amazing work here! This episode is really the pinnacle of your climbing trip with Sasha at Jordan, thanks for sharing with us. I would definitely like to meet you at Osllo but unfortunately i live far from there.
They obviously know each other pretty well. Lots of trust and understanding. No surprise with that history. It's always an achievement (often worked hard for) to get along with an ex that well. Kudos.
Last week, some friends that started a 9 pitches route at 15 pm had to spend the night outside (8°c and some wind...), wearing only a t-shirt and laying on the ropes because they arrived at night at the top and couldn't find the hiking path down. They were just lost, trapped above cliffs in the dark... we came to find them before sunrise, they screwed up and they knew it... Be responsible people.
Agreed. You start to make stupid mistakes and it ruins all the fun if you have to rush to make it before dark. If you have to stay on the mountain, an emergency blanket (they weigh like 60g) can make all the difference.
Hey Magnus, first off I wan't to say I love the videos you make, I really enjoy seeing how a professional climber trains and appreciate your candid insights on climbing. Which is why i really hesitate to criticize (especially since I don't want to come off like another trad dad internet troll who can barely climb 5.10), but I do feel that I have to speak out here. I know you are inspiring a ton of people to get into climbing, or who are just beginning to climb, which is why it is really important to share with your viewers how serious that situation could have been while you were rappelling that route in the dark and you only had 1m of rope left without a knot. A quick google search can show you how common and tragic deaths are from rappelling, in Yosemite alone last year there were several, and it sounds like you narrowly avoided becoming a statistic yourself. Please edit this video to explain to all the people who look up to you (myself included) that rappelling without a knot is very dangerous, if you need to do so you should only do so with a prussic(which you did not share with your viewers if you had one), and it is especially dangerous in the dark when you can come up on the end of your rope quickly. I am very glad nothing happened and you could laugh about it after the fact, but I think that you have such a powerful platform and should make sure that people you inspire to get outside do so safely. Thanks for the amazing videos, and keep up the good work! Cheers
I was thinking something similar. I was surprised by the the lack of multi-pitch knowledge, it doesn't seem like they had prussiks or any other devices to use as a foot strap to ascend as Sasha had to climb back up when she missed the anchors. This is all very basic stuff and easily avoidable. Loved the video though, amazing footage!
Amazing video ! i totally understand not putting a knot, in wadi rum you will most likely get the rope stuck, it happened to me few times. one fix on the grade of the route last pitch is 6a and the one before the last is 7a+
Bohemen they’re a super aggressive type of climbing shoe. Basically they have a tight fit and the toe area is down-turned, forcing your feet into a constantly clenched position to improve ability to use small holds. They get real uncomfortable after a short period and on a multi-pitch climb it’s more normal to wear comfortable shoes because you’ll have them on for hours!
i find funny the vids when you try new stuff, but videos like this one are gold. it's too nice see you on the rocks just climbing, with wonderful shots and a relaxing music.
