I’m completely done with this trial, I refuse to watch this disrespectful POS make a mockery of this court. If that was an attorney he would absolutely be held in contempt. He’s been coddled his whole life obviously and has always gotten his way with mommy.! Every time this poor judge comes back to her seat he starts in on her about everything. He has mentally worn me out and I can’t imagine what the judge and the victims have to go through just being there. I will definitely be back for the verdict though.
Imagine going home at the end of the day as the judge. My spouse would have to hand me a bottle of liquor while I hand over my phone and they lock away. Blessings to her. She’s a saint at this point.
He will be spending the rest of his life in prison anyway but I'm like you I won't be watching it anymore either. He should have never been allowed to defend himself because he is in sane
what good would issuing a contempt charge be for a guy that is going away for life?
He is the very definition of 'cringe worthy'. He should be removed to the other courtroom again, because he's so disruptive, where he can be muted and essentially ignored. He is performing - not advocating for his case. He has no respect for women, that much is clear.

Edit: I don’t know him nor do I know how he has acted his whole life but this is an example of learned behavior by getting results. It takes a LONG TIME of “practice” with results to hone this to a level that he is at.

Absolutely….this is exactly what a narcissist looks like, acts like and sounds like!! Too many times the things he has said and his facial expressions and body language remind me of my ex husband who is also the true definition of a narcissist….manipulative, self serving, lack of respect for others etc etc. Even though they may say the words “no disrespect or I apologize” etc, they truly don’t mean it and they will always have an ulterior motive. I think he’s doing all of this because he knows that he’s guilty and it’s only a matter of time before he will have to live the rest of his pathetic life behind bars. By delaying and interrupting the trial while making a total fool out of himself, just gives him more time to feel “free” and to try and control the people around him before his control of everything will be drastically reduced….just my opinion.

Same here. I taught for thirty years and there was always one student like this every year. When you meet their parents, you realize the one word they never heard in their entire lives was "no". People are praising the patience of the judge--what about the patience of us teachers?

Here in Germany you're allowed to represent yourself only in very minor cases and only if you are capable of doing so. In all other cases you have to have a defense lawyer. I finally understand why. Thank you, Mr Brooks.

Judge Dorow is without a doubt the most patient jurist ever. She has put up with so much from Brooks and maintains her composure, fairness and professionalism. Well done.
But why? He deserves none of this. He should be treated like any other legal counsel would. But yet she lets him act up and rant. He chose to self represent. Shouldnt mean he gets special treatment.
I think she sees the big picture so to speak. She knows he will appeal so she is doing this to stop any appeal attempts. He playing checkers and she is the chess master. He has no chance.

The only reason he wanted to defend himself was so he could do what he's doing. I honestly don't think an actual lawyer would be getting as many chances as he's getting. He's a whiner. He has a huge chip on his shoulder. If you go by how he's behaving, he's the victim in all this. It's as though he's blaming the victims for being in his way that day. I'm not sure I can sit through his witness testimony next week. He makes me sick.

Second, you’re right, no one teaches these court proceedings, but that’s why most would want a public defendant representing them, which he opt to not have. It’s also why the judge is trying her best to explain how things work. The reason why she’s so “uptight” as you put it, is bc he’s not listening to her whenever she is.

Actually, she has sustained a few of his objections. Not many, but not many were valid. The prosecution's objections are sustained more often because they know what they are doing.

@@grandmaida7819I know which question ur talking about it was an hearsay objection regarding the testimony of another officer he asked if twice in different ways and it largely came down to how he asked the question Brooks plays word games intentionally making his questions vague or hard to understand it why she allows him to rephrase. In my opinion She's not over her head, at all she knows Brooks is trying to cry bias and get a mistrial thats why she offers leniency in certain regards like allowing him to to have print-outs of court rules despite not being required to provide him any I think people want her to scream at him or throw him out, or have him bound and gagged as allowed by the law but if she does that it would only be leverage for him to say the presiding judge was prejudiced.
I wanna see this judge on the cover of every major magazine as “Outstanding Person of the Year”.

The testimony of the mother of his child at the opening of the trial was that he punched her and tried to run her over with his car. The fact that he mowed down the dancing grannies while also belittling a female judge is no coincidence.

He’s absolutely maddening. I know Im mentally exhausted just from listening to this trial. I sincerely hope the judge takes care of her own mental health during and after this. She is only human. I can’t imagine what it’s like to deal with this day in and day out. He knows what he’s doing, pushing for a mistrial. They’ve done an exceptional job so far of not letting him provoke them.
She does overrule 99% of his objections. Something is very wrong with the entire event and case. Weird ASF

The funny thing is there have been a number of moments where he could have likely had objections to the states questions sustained. He just never objected to those questions
