Thanks for the help much appreciate
Sure thing. Let me know if you have any other questions. Glad to help
Great tutorial
Thank you. Appreciate it!
This is an awesome series on Silvio. My questions is "how do I add additional background images without repeating the entire ES Explorer process?"
If your device does not have an USB port then you have to use ES to copy and paste the new images
@@DJsTutorials Thanks DJ. I was looking for the quick way out; which is never the best way to do anything. :)
By the way, DJ. Do you know anything about PlexKodiConnect. I've scoured the Internet looking for this super application to make my Kodi & Plex apps seem as one. Please don't tell me it's dead, cause I'll just keel over myself!
If you are looking for the repo here is a helpful link: github.com/croneter/PlexKodiConnect/wiki/Installation
What size are the background
Hi dude thanks for your tutorial. I'm using Kodi Leia and I want to do my build on a PC. Every time I search for my pictures (already on my pc) they are never showing on the background option. Can you help me please? Appreciated
If the folder that contains your images is in the "Pictures" folder, when you go looking for the folder. look under the C: drive, then go down to Users, select the user you are using, and you should see the Pictures folder in there. If you still have a hard time locating it, you can try adding the folder as a source in File Manager. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi! Thanks for this great tutorial!
But there is one thing I would like to ask.
After configuration of my own build, got all my wallpapers in separate folder on my box.
To keep back-up copy im copying two folders "addons" and "user data" if something crash i just copying them to the right place.
So i cleaned my Kodi to get fresh start. After copy those two catalogs i have no backgrounds at all.
Is there a Way to keep my backgrounds within these two catalogues?
Kind regards, and apologize for my broken english!
I would recommend doing a full build back up. That way it saves everything including your settings, folder locations, repositories, etc. In the Kodi repository under Programs, there is a Backup Program available in there that you can install. You can also try the Grindhouse Wizard which also has a build backup & restore tool and other tools you may find useful. (grindhousekodi.tk/repo)
@@DJsTutorials Thank You so much!
@@dorszes You're welcome any time!
i've got a firestick...how do I access the pictures I transferred to the firestick doing exactly what you said...i created the folder in the root of the drive as you suggested...all that comes up when i go to locate the file is the one i created for a repo download...thanks when you get the time
Nick
You need to got to your file manager and add a source. Instead of typing in a url, on the right you will see "Browse" click that and find the folder you created. Name it something like backgrounds or what you like and click ok.
Thank you So much...was beginning to get a little crazy over this
This tutorial is using Kodi 17.6 if I have Kodi 18.2 installed will finding backgrounds work the same? I did not get the default image wondering if I missed a step
In the description of this video I included the link for the skin that is for kodi 18. Did you use that link or still using the previous version? Installing the backgrounds should work the same as in 17.6 If you updated the skin from 17.6 to 18.2 you may want to uninstall it and the re-install again.
DJ's Tutorials no link ?
If you are looking for the skin, its included in Leia 18.7 just go to skin settings > change skin > Get more > and in there you will find it.
Do you recommend doing this on a PC?
Yes I do. Its actually easier on the PC since you don't have to transfer the pictures to the device.
hey my es explorer is different than what is on the video mine doesn't have the 2nd home option and it doesn't show the paste option can you help
Where did you download es file explorer from?
DJ's Tutorials fire stick
If you click on "Local" on the left menu it doesn't show you 2 "Home"?
figured it out thanks
I need help building my box with kodi build. can you help me.

amigo te falto como poner la informacion de las peliculas en la pantalla help
Puedes encontrar los 4 videos en mi sitio web. Tuve que sacarlos de aquí.
I can’t get thru to my one drive. It just stops when I finish with my password. I tried the google drive too, no luck
Are you using ES File Explorer?
Yes. I finally got it. It took a few tries.
how do i get my images off es explorer im not useing a flash drive?
The easiest way will be to use a Cloud drive like Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox. Add the folder that you created with your Background Images to your Cloud Drive on your PC then go to ES File Explorer and connect to that drive in the Main Screen) and Copy that folder and Paste it to the Download folder which is located under "Local - Home" (the second Home in the list).
@@DJsTutorials OK next question how I find the images on the fire stick pls help pls and ty
I'm not sure I understand the question.
@@DJsTutorials I did what you said to do but idk how find the images on the fire stick like you did
If you are asking how to add them in Kodi, go to File Manager - Add Source - Click on Browse - External Storage - and select the folder where you added your images. Click ok - Name it Backgrounds (or anything you want) and click OK. That's it.
All my are 1920x1080 and very blurry
What are you using to get your images Chrome, Explorer, Firefox? When you search for an image and you find one do you right click on the image and select "Save Image as"? Also make sure when you do select an image that it does say 1920x1080 below it.
Can you help me with this
Sure can. What can I help you with?
@@DJsTutorials I want my build like this
Sure I will help you with that. First though, which version of kodi are you using, 19 or 20?
@@DJsTutorials 20
@@DJsTutorials I have no way to get pics on my firestick 4k my laptop out dated waiting to get new one
Chrome and exp
Then I right click and save
And I’m using desktop hp windows 10
As long as you are saving the images that are actually 1920x1080 then it shouldn't be blurry. If the image is blurry when you are viewing it on your computer then it will be blurry in kodi. Also in chrome when you click on an image it will say below it if it is 1920x1080
Best I've found is hdqwalls.com and down load from thousands of pics
Yes that is a good site to find lots of good pics. Thank you for sharing!
