They could always change on Army, but my understanding is the demo playtesters are already receiving their copies of sandtrap and the N5 lorebook, so I don't expect much to change in November.
In full transparency I didn’t see these images until they were shared on Facebook. I had seen a spreadsheet with the unit profiles but also spotted a discrepancy between that data and what was shared.
These are available on the CB site under Downloads. One major things I immediately noticed was the price difference between the N4 Crocman and the N5 Scarecrow. The Scarecrow gets +1 CC, +1 BS, +3 BTS, a Nanopulser, and a silenced pistol for 3 points cheaper and the loss of an X-Visor of a N4 Crocman. So the points formula must be changing.
Yea I’ll super interested on how the new shotgun works. You have range bands for the circle template but what happens if you are say within 1” of the opponent. You would normally place it on the centre of the opponent but that would hit you as well and therefore cancels
HMG currently have suppressive fire don't they? My main takeaways are that Dcharges don't have EXP ammo anymore (my poor Caliban), snipers have suppressive fire, don't have burst 2 in DA, and have to pick shock or AP instead of getting both. That could have snipers fiting 3 shots in ARO potentially. I assume the terminal template will be a small one roughly the size of the end of the flame template. Some really interesting changes. Will be fun to read over the new rules when they're released in full
Thanks for the extra insight. Next time I’ll have two screens open, one with the current weapons chart to check. I also hope the current templates are the same.
@@elementgold this is AWESOME! I’ve been out of the game for a couple of years, but JSA was my baby … and I really love the new models. I’ll pick these up! ALL THE WAY WITH JSA!!!!!
In N3 a hit with a shotgun would cause a teardrop template originating from the victim, hitting the troopers behind. It was a wacky thing and practically allowed shooting around corners. Shooting a template directly in N4 was still too strong, giving the active player a huge advantage. I like that you now always have to roll to hit with shotguns again and the templates not being completely busted in N5.
I've already had a reply about the private sale offer from CB to do demos for a discount. I'm gearing up for N5 at a rapid rate. This time I diving into Infinity big time and no longer sitting on the fence.
I'm really curious how the "no cover" and nanoscreen will work out! Thanks for summing up the details and talking about them. I'll be at Spiel in Essen in Germany this Saturday. Will be looking forward to CB telling that they will sell sandtrap there. Really curious about that!
@@the_infinitygamer That's the positive attitude I've taken to. After seeing the new Tunguska spec units in vanilla N5, I've decided to will my wishes into existence by painting my hollowmen and building/painting a Kriza. 🤞
Carlos talked about No Cover in the interview. He specified it’s to ensure people don’t try to stack mods with nano screen.
Ahh so with them changing how nano screen works they needed to build that in. Makes sense with that extra info.
Would be cool if evo hackers could apply nanoscreen. Going to call it here :)
It's worth noting that those profiles aren't final until N5 launches fully in November.

That aligns with what has been heard. Some skills will be getting more expensive as others get cheaper to align the meta slightly better.

That’s a very good point.

Yes they do
If they have a 4th template, I hope they keep the other 3 the same so I don't have to replace them...

Sweet!
Hey, what’s the deal with JSA this edition? Does Japan own its own planet now? Are they being promoted to major-player status??
They're claiming a newly discovered planet as their own and are being upgraded to a main faction.
Yes, but PanO think they own it too, and YES 🎉
@@alexweber675 to be fair, PanO thinks they own everything.

Bro, you have been asking this same question on a ton of videos lately. The answer, still, is yes.
Jet Propultion might be a damage on langinf template type thing?
Or that they can’t claim cover or ever enter CC. We’ll soon see!

Interesting, I hadn’t considered that losing teardrop would mean all shotgun hits are template.

Good on you! A great time to be getting into the game.
with the shotguns and natural born warrior Ariadna is changing ALOT
For better or worse in your eyes?
@@the_infinitygamer well if the shot guns require dice rolls it will def be worse because we have bad BS
You never know, you might get a BS boost in N5!
@@the_infinitygamer but then again, you might not.
Always true
I'd wager "terminal" templates mean they are centered on the target
Is that similar to how they used to be?
Wouldn't be surprised if Combat Instinct simply was a new term for Sixth Sense.
Ooooh that’s a cool spot

Nanoscreen is apparently changing to a -3 modifier (like a noncancellable mimetism) rather than portable cover
@janofe2232 that would be quite cool I think
Black AIR makes it look like our poor sin eater observants will get a buff then considering a sin costs 2 points more.
Maybe I should assembly the sin eater just in case.

I love that approach!! You’ll either paint them into being epic for N5 or they’ll be discontinued. 😬
No cover is because nanoscreen, nothing new on that
Ah so they’re un-nesting the nano screen rules
Submachine guns are just shock and not shock/ap.
That’s a good change I reckon
