    I couldn't agree more.
    1. It needs to be USB C. Not having that is a deal breaker for me in 2024, as I standardize on one plug.
    2. For the size and weight, it needs to have an extra battery function, which it could have with a USB C. I care about weight about as little as anyone does, but that weight needs to have a purpose. This just seems to be heavy without any benefit.
One thing it needs, I didn't see mentioned, is the ability to go directly into RED mode. Honestly, this is not as important for me personally, because I see really well with any light, but the vast majority of people need a quick light source for basic tasks, and it needs to be red so they don't wash out their night vision.

No, you can't go directly to red. As demonstrated, you press and hold the switch and the auxiliary white light will come on, then the red light. Thanks for commenting

Seems to be a good light for a decent price. I like headlamps that turns on at the last previously used setting as this one does. It is a bit frustrating to use headlamps that always require having to cycle through all the settings every time it is turned on in order to get to the desired setting.

Hi Lonnie. I agree, it is a fairly good light despite what I see as a few shortcomings. Not deal breakers in any case. Thanks for commenting

I would echo the other comments so far. This design is really “klunky” looking to my eye, and I was wondering what the heck was the reason…It’s of course the battery is huge! It’s almost SteamPunk “cute” but not enough to make me want to deal with its unspectacular other specs. There are so many good headlights that cost less than $30 USD in discount stores, that I would need to reject ALL of those BEFORE I considered this guy. I have had only a half dozen or so different headlights (I’m hard on them when I use one) and I’ve learned the straps can either cause my forehead to sweat or slip around on my hair, and so I really appreciate reviews that comment specifically on comfort of straps….Thanks for the great review!

The battery is huge and yet the battery life is nowhere near that of other high end headlamps with similar battery/size.

G'day Mark, cant say I've ever come across a poor Klarus product and yes this one does seem to be very "hard hat" orientated, with the strap size and the switch and charging port side mounted.
With ya though, continuous use @ higher lums from a power bank makes perfect sense for the design intent.
I dont mind micro, a lot of my favs are and I'm well endowed with cables and adapters to suit, however, it's beyond me why ya would persevere with it on a contemporary model.
I'd say drop some of the, very unlikely to be used, bells and whistles, if favor of the those two nails you hit squarely on the head ; ) .......... and IP 68 wouldn't hurt either. Cheers Duke.

Hi Duke. I have liked all the Klarus products I have tested except for this one. Not that it is a bad light, just that it is old tech and needs to be updated. Thanks for commenting

I like the dual light setup. I just want a low, med, and high setting. I'm not interested in the strobe/flasn mode. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️
