    I definitely prefer these style of lights with tail controls as it is so easy to get the light turned on in the dark as you do not have to fumble along the side of the light trying to find the blasted button.

    Always appreciate the honest take on a light, Mark!
    That IS an impressive throw! It seems a little big and heavy for me for an EDC, which is mostly what I'm interested in for a flashlight, so I doubt I'll be looking at it seriously, but it's always nice to have options presented for consideration.

    G'day Mark, I'm left firmly on the fence with this one;
    I really like the inclusion of a good holster and what the unit can do, though I'm not particularly enamored with how it goes about it.
    I do certainly have a place for tripod mounting, but not at the expense of a body switch.
    I reckon thats where the interface has become fiddly and it means its always hammer grip over shoulder, or across torso, operation. Sure that's the way you'd want it tactically as a strike weapon and no need to change grip for the various settings.
    However, it is kinda trying to be all things to all people, simply because it includes that specific EDC type functionality, which is better served in combination with a body switch IMO.
    So either, go totally Tac, or move the tripod mount and include a body switch in it's place.
    Btw; how about an adjustable circumference clamp, (something like a hose clamp for example, or maybe velcro to cater for rectangular bodied jobs as well), that could turn any torch into a tripod mounting option.
    Anyway, hope that all makes, "some" sense at least. Thanks once again for your review mate.
    Cheers Duke.
    P.S. FYI, the G15 has proven to be an absolute ripper for my needs, I use it at least a coupla times a day, ....... umm night, (post sunset and before sunrise), to navigate and check the grounds. Also, with its beam pattern, it made for a fantastic tail standing "lantern" indoors when the power was out for maintenance/upgrade.
    I reckon it's paid for itself already.
    So many thanks for showing that one too ; )

      Yeah, kind of a mixed animal. Better OS than some but not the most intuitive I have tried. The G15 sounds like a great light. Will have to take a look. Thanks for commenting Duke
