www.flatcatgear.com/ #flatcatgear Here is a first look at the new Fire Maple Petrel HX pot. It looks like a nice replacement for the Sterno Inferno HX pot. It cost about $22 USD.
Love your work John. Bought your stereo inferno and mods a few years ago from you and so far , nothing beats it . This new pot does look interesting, especially for a couple to use . I’ll stick with your stove for the time being . Regards from Australia. Steve c
Nice. Off the top of my head, I seem to recall the WideSea HX pot weighing only half an ounce more than Sterno Inferno? I could be wrong about that. This has a nicer handle.
What modifications i need to fit with brs 3000t? Edit:I watched your newer video Fire Maple Petrel HX pot with a Pocket Rocket Deluxe. The mod fits with BRS 3000t.

Just got mine in mail today and can’t wait to hit the trail with it!
Interesting pot! Thanks for sharing it.
I just got mine and it fits the JetBoil MightyMo just fine.

WideSea with a replacement lid is about 1.5 oz heavier than the Sterno Inferno.
@@FlatCatGear Cool. Thanks for doing this.
I like the pot. does the pot's slots fit with pocket rocked "II" and what modifications ?
You have to bend the tips of the pot support arms to fit into the slots. It is a permenent change but doe snot affect the stove performance.

Does the pot fit the MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe?
Only if you bend the tips as the arms are not radial but offset
@@FlatCatGearthanks. Do you know if the FMS-116T stove fits the base of the Fire-maple pot? I like the looks of it over the Hornet II.
Sorry, no idea if that will fit
