TOP OF THE DAY TO YOU MATE ... !!!! GREAT TO SEE YOU SIMON .... !!!!! ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO ... !!!!! QUICK WORK ... GREAT SHOOTING ....!!!!!! I ENJOY EVER VIDEO .... !!!!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN MATE FOR YOUR TIME AND $$$ ..... !!!!!! DOUBLE G. HERE ... !!!!! GARY ..! ! !
Excellent shooting again, Simon. I remember a while back I was dressed up as an alien, walking across some fields, I scared the crap out of some bloke shooting foxes. 🤣🤣
You got a 2fer tonight. 100 + yards at night is still pretty good shooting. 👀👍 I would be lucky to do that in the daytime. Jack had the night off I see.👍
Thanks Simon. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. I especially like that you take life with a purpose - you don't just blast away "because something's there." We do the same thing when we go for ground squirrels. Pests only. By the way. Congratulations on Jack trusting you to solo! 🙂
Thank-you Simon, you almost bought a tear to my eye. Being on wrong side of 50, and long before thermal, night vision and electronic callers, I owned a Sako 75 Deluxe in 22-250. That rifle, together with it’s predecessor ( Sako L461 Vixen ) payed half the deposit in fox pelts on my first new car. Cheers, and thanks for your efforts.
Ye Ace i am 55 now and just holding on to my younger years, i also owned two Sako 75's in 22.250 one laminate Stainless and the other Walnut and both were shooters, not like my 6ppc but is what's expected. ye the old days hey when they were happening we didn't appreciate it and now hell do we wish they could be back, take care my friend.
Good job Amigo.. I agree with that sentiment . It's a shame to have to put such critters down.. I always try to console myself in the fact that you're just leveling the playing field for all the animals to thrive together..
Respect Si. Another brilliant and humane video. Those foxes were in terrific condition for this time of year,a shame but necessary if they are causing problems.👍👍
A nice result for a night's work Simon. It might be an old Rifle, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with its dtopping piwer! One Happy Farmer, mate. 😎
Nice work Si, the drone pro can still stand up to many even today .... Cracking shots .... The illuminator makes the difference as we know ....turns a 100m unit into 400m one ..... Not many see the damage these foxes do. I respect all I shoot and do so responsibly and humanely. Just to say though .....thermal is a game changer ...on every level.....keep up the good work !
Can't believe you don't wear gloves on those cold nights.. Good patience waiting half hour before turning on the caller Drone pro still very functional.. Vixen looks bigger than the dog fox! Thanks again..
@simon6ppc246 will look forward to seeing a new video on the squirrels mate. Are you going to the shooting show? I'm going on the Saturday. Would be good to see you there 👍
Nice shooting Si we had a couple like that Tuesday night come into the caller, only difference was they both come in at the same time shot one at 80 yard and the other at 269 yard. Great shooting by the way.
Nice shooting Simon, I can't get my head around the coldness ice on the ground the sound of your steps on the grass. I have no idea what cold is, were i live everything just get burned too hot to pick up if left out😊.
😂 One night Antony some thing came zooming past me only 200 yards high but the size of like loaf of bread and to this day i can't tell you what it was and i don't lie either pal. It was the small size of it that baffled me lol. It was shifting too going like the speed of a jet fighter so it wasn't a drone.
Nice one Si. Proof that the older gear still works very well in the right hands. Absolutely loving the script. Was chuckling away with the beem me up. Gets a bit scary on your Todd sometimes late at night or early morning. Just you and maybe a badger for example facing off just yards apart. Was that a big cat I just saw. Nothing worse for the reality check when your not sure what was that feeling gets you going. Ha ha. There out there somewhere. Brilliant again 😅
Ye Lawrence your 100% right pal, i have spent my life at night and in the day on them moors, i probably know them better than the farmers yet on the night you can get an aery feeling and that night i see some thing only small like a loaf of bread 200 yards up and moving very very fast and gone but who believes you, no one lol.
Great shooting there pal. I'm using a Hik gryphon and it's top draw for identification, so clear. I'm also using a Hik alpex, they really seam to of caught a little bit of the market of late. It's good to see a little competition, might see prices drop a wee bit with any luck.
Glad that you decided to go alone rather than drag an Armchair for Jack. He says 'Well Done old fellah' and is happily snuggled up next to the fire. He's a bit narked that you didn't leave the TV on BBC2 cos he wanted to watch the Guinea Pigs, closely. Ghilli suits Insulate. USA Military Research is very useful.

Awesome film as always Simon, and as always good clean shooting, the way it should bee. Looking forward to the next one. Have you ever tried foxing at day, it is the only opportunity we got in DK, we are not allowed to hunt after sunset.
Ye i do Steffen more late Spring coming the Summer like the last hours of the day on the moors is just brilliant, in fact my favourite time of the year for it.
Great vid just like always mate and inspiring marksmanship. Please excuse me for asking but I noted that you scan with your left eye but sight through the scope with your right and just wondered if there was a particular reason why? Best wishes.
Thanks Geoff , to be fair i can use either eye but use my left as i am slightly more left eye dominant and to save the other eye from going night blind ready for the shot.
🤗😎saludos mr simon como siempre muy buen uso del rifle magnificos ejemplares de zorros es una lastima la mala convivencia con los granjeros y su compañero jack?
Hi Simon we are near 40 degrees here in Australia I should be out after the teenage foxes now would be a bit more pleasant at night than what you have there. Do you ever take a pelt ? I tried once and it turned out much better than I could have thought. A tough job though. A shearer lent me his night vision binoculars so I'm having a bit of a look at what you are seeing. Quality lasts happy to see night vision still working after paying for itself. I expect my Sako to keep going my whole life.
Cheers Dave, never took any pelts to be fair, years ago folk did also ye NV is the way forward and thermal even more and the Sako rifles, ye just unreal that 6ppc of mine must have done over 10,000 rounds and it still shoots well under half inch on the same factory barrel, a joke really,
Very professional, lovely to see your respect for the animals , I’m a newbie to all this shooting malarkie . A minefield of interesting stuff , what do you do with the culled foxes ?
Top draw yet again Simon. I do like how you give respect to your quarry you have just dispatched. Signs of a true conservationist.
Thank you Karl, i suppose they are only doing what foxes do its not their fault.
Well done Simon, humble as always and respectful.
Thank you Jon.
Looks to be great shots and clean kills, Simon. I've come to expect nothing less. Pet Jack boy for me please.
Thank you again Zum
Well Sir, that outing paid a dividend, for which the Farmer will be glad to see!
Nice shooting.
Ye sure did pal cheers.

Lovely healthy looking foxes.

Looks bloody cold! The grass is crispy! Love your work, mate.

Thanks Simon. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. I especially like that you take life with a purpose - you don't just blast away "because something's there." We do the same thing when we go for ground squirrels. Pests only.
