Hot on the heels of this news, Capcom has released actual sales numbers! Mega Man 11 has sold 870k units and Mega Man X Legacy Collection sold 920k units from their respective launches across all platforms. If the momentum keeps up, both could potentially join a few other Mega Man titles in having the honor of having sold 1 million units!

@@TheXFalzar I didnt care much for Starforce. In terms of story it was great but personally I HATE the gameplay. I prefer Battle Network's story and gameplay however the brother system and character development is fantastic in Star Force
If they make a new X game, I hope they use the Yamaha ModX for part of the sound

Have it actually be like X8 and I'll be all in on buying copies for all of my family and friends.
They seriously need to do a Mega Man X9, because they must move on to the Elf Wars in greater detail, including what happened to Axl, what happened to him in the Elf Wars, why he isn't remembered as a legendary heroic Reploid like X and Zero in the Mega Man Zero series.
So it's official then, not only is the Blue Bomber back, he's here to stay! It's amazing to see this in 2019, years after he was pronounced dead by many.

If Capcom treats their long time franchises well by bringing us remasters/collections that we all loved, then fans will buy it to show support and appreciation.
I suppose we can expect things like:

- Onimusha 2
- Onimusha 3
- Onimusha 3 Dawn of Dreams

It's good to see the Blue Bomber is back in action! I had feelings of dread when I heard rumors that Mega Man 11 didn't sell well, but we were DEAD WRONG! Let's hope for the best in the future, maybe X9 will be the next game, or maybe it will be ZX3, or perhaps a new series altogether. Who knows what the future holds, just as long as it's not something that we're going to regret.

@レコハ I can't see Zero 5 happening for many reasons, but a Zero Legacy Collection might happen, it just might be tricky due to Capcom's relationship with Inti Creates nowadays, since Inti rather make more original games like the Gunvolt series. The ZX series is in a trickier situation, even when it comes to ports or remakes, and this is especially true since it's the most underrated series given it sold poorly. Not only that, but DS games are not exactly easy to port to other systems, so... yeah.
I'm pretty new to the megaman scene, I got from Super Smash Brothers ultimate after picking up Megaman as a main. After being disappointed by this and last year's big releases of Battle front 2, Fallout 76, Diablo immortals and the like, I decided to spend the relatively low price for megaman X legacy collection one, and I fell in love with it. Its nice to get a fully finished game that is still satisfying to replay, and more so that it costs less then 80$!
I still have ALOT of Mavericks and Robot Masters to go, but I'm enjoying every minute of it!

This is amazing to hear again. I do hope that someday ( if they can) bring the rockman online project back. It seemed like it was gonna be a multiplayer gem to the fans. I remember getting crazy hyped for it when it announced

Well, two of those MM11 sales are thanks to me. 😎 I got a physical PS4 version, then a digital Switch copy when it was on sale.
Both Megaman Legacy X Collection and Megaman 11 need another steam sale to reach 1m mark. We're getting MMX9... I'm so glad for that.

I would love to develop a fan made mega man fighting game, that introduce's a new mega man while crossing over with the other mega man series. But i don't have the tool's to develop it and show it to capcom.

This is good news for us Mega Man fans. As long as they don't flood the market with Mega Man, the news will continue to be good. Till more Mega Man News comes out, I'll be posting more Mega Man videos on my channel.
I really would like to see a DLC for Mega Man 11.
The expansion could add a LOT of cool stuff:
1) Protoman, Bass and Duo as playable characters;
2) Two more missions at Wily's Castle;
3) At the first new Wily's Mission, we could have 8 new capsules which we could get some old school Robot Masters cameos: Cutman, AirMan, SnakeMan, Gutsman, SkullMan, HeatMan, KnightMan and ShadowMan; each boss fight would present us with remastared versions of each boss theme.
4) At the second new Wily's Mission, we should face MM2 Mecha Dragon and Dr. Wily riding a giant Gamma's clone.
5) Rush Adapter and Rush Search;
6) Some new items and parts at the shop;
7) and, just like in Rockman & Forte, we could be able to find hidden bios cards of all robot masters and characters to collect!!!
I know it sounds like a dream... But that would be beyond awesome, wouldn't it?

Good we've been doing well in terms of sales to Capcom. That means Megaman X9 could be a possibility.
I bought them both. I still love the blue bomber.
While I play megaman since 3, this is the first time I actually bought a physical copy. 9 and 10 I got digital, and before that, well piracy was the norm in Brazil and I had no much money.
So, bring 12 and I also will get it.
Now if they decide to release a battle network collection and a starforce collection for switch then I will die of happiness

Megaman 11 was an ok return to form for Megaman, definitely not a bad game, but not intirely remarkable, it's still my 2nd favorite classic Megaman however, but my gosh, please do something in the style of X8 for X9 I want the series to move forward with it's gameplay and bring back the tag team gameplay, the chips and the mutiple paths that make X8 a lot more replayable to me (minus the vehicle levels) and I know you can only think of so many names for bosses per game, but could we maybe have a game with a bit more that just about a dozen levels? I don't want them to go the MM 9 and 10 route, as much as I like pixels and sprites, I want a game that goes for a slightly more gritty and realistic style for MMX, not like a super edgy T rated reboot with a bunch of "damns" and "hells",I just want a story that I can actually take seriously for once, becuase I actually fancy the lore in this series that contextualises the wacky and cool setpieces that this series is known for, so basically what I'm saying is, maybe show the humans in this series acttually take some beef agaisnt the reploids, maybe add a human character who despises them similiar to Copen in the Gunvolt series, maybe explore the moral ambiguity of creating free thinking robotic life, DO SOMETHING to make the story legitimatley interesting, I know Megaman isn't exatcly Shakespeare (the voice acting certainly isn't up to par for that) but please just do something serious for X9, I totally understand why the story is so bland for a more kid friendly series like classic, but I really want to see them bring up these angles in the story, I mean, if the Zero games can hace a fun and engaging story, than why can't X?, Oh, and also, don't make Sigma the villian pretty plz :P

I am still eagerly awaiting the classic Mega Man to actually truly end it and officially connect the 2 series, then go all out with X. I know Unlimited is a thing, but it is not canonical, damn good fun though.

Considering there is no Sigma in Command Mission when it supposedly takes place after X8, Sigma definitely seems to be dead for good. Though I got to wonder what's the whole Lumine thing at end is all about.
As for the Classic series, I doubt they will ever really connect it with the X series beyond simple references. Mostly since Capcom prob will want to keep selling new MM games, without a planned end.
Megaman Unlimited, for as uncanon it may be, might be the closest thing we will ever get to a conclusion to the original series.
I just want a Battle Network or Starforce Legacy Collection for Switch. Or a Zero legacy collection. Any of them tbh. I just want more Megaman

After playin the x collection I riley want a x9 after playing both the classic and x collection i enjoyed the x series more so lets hope for x9
