Good first time impression review of the car. I think it is probably a decent enough car for everyday transport. My frustration comes from being told what we have to buy and our choices or preferences being swept off the table. Let people have the choice and if these electric cars (hybrids are phasing out too) are the genuine future then people will migrate towards them without roadblock legislation. It's pretty much the same thing as 'you can enter this city zone, but you have to be vegetarian. Meat eaters will incur a £12 charge beyond this point'. I jest, but who knows where this society is going. I also don't like that you can be penalised for touching your phone or eating snacks in a car when all that touchable adjustment tech is the same distraction. And no, I don't eat or use my phone whilst I'm driving. The thought I have is this MG is going to be the car that will suit many people. And so it should, just as many electric cars. I'm not hating on them. I just think that democracy is being over-ruled.
I'm also 6ft 2" with long legs so I need reach on the steering wheel. That along with no rear centre arm rest is a no from me. Shame, as it's a good looking car with a nice interior. Great review though.👍🏻
Yes. I drive the mg3 hybrid and it has the exactly same electrocronics and drive train. The experience has been fantastic for me, coming from a petrol corrolla. I have to pinch myself every time I drive it. So far an 11 out of 10.😊
Thanks. Reach-adjustable steering would really have helped me, but I have a tall frame, I was more comfortable after I adjusted the headrest. I would always urge buyers to try out a car before buying because everyone is different. The engine was boomy but that was in Sports mode under full acceleration.
Nice comments and great voice - but how about practicing prior to actually doing the video. You didn’t seem to know what the buttons did at all! If I were MG I’d be mad as can be that you gave such a confused review. Next time PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE before actually filming and releasing your UA-cam.
Thanks for your kind comments. As mentioned, this review was filmed during the actual media launch of the car, during which we only have a few hours with the car and very little time to film the review - essentially I'm bringing you my "live" first impressions. On occasions when I have cars on test, usually for several days, I am able to plan the videos better and do more takes if necessary.
@@BrownCarGuy OOPS!! "My Bad"! (Do they still say that?) I did not realize this was a LIVE MEDIA Launch -- in that case WOW you really picked-up things fast! (After 3 months with my MG-ZS Petrol I'm still learning!!) Please accept my apologies here. And let me reiterate: You have a great presenter's voice and you make this fun! I will be subscribing to your youtube! What I love about our new Petrol ZS is the manual transmission, Turbo engine (OK not going to win a Formula one but very nice); the panoramic sunroof THAT OPENS, the 360° camera feature, the electric driver's seat (my wife & I use the car and both love it)-- and Apple CarPlay - hey, get a CARABC wireless adapter and it's even more fun - no cables needed but if taking a long trip - then just plug it in to a charger. Thanks again and looking forward to your upcoming reviews!! Steve 2024-09-24

Very expensive parts my 21 plate hs exclusive
25000 moles onthe clock needs back break discs and pads £450 only from mg
I love the way you started to chuck it about. Good review subbed.
Thanks for the sub!
This will be successful - 50+ mpg, much quicker and bigger- yet still inexpensive with 7 year warranty
What is your real consumption with this vehicle for what type of road?

Thanks for your video !
Looks a massive improvement, any chance of the MGHS Hybrid+ for testing

@@BrownCarGuy thank you
Nice, major improvement
Nice video
Does anyone know if this car has cornering lights?
Can it ride with pure electric motor at low speeds?
Yes. I drive the mg3 hybrid and it has the exactly same electrocronics and drive train. The experience has been fantastic for me, coming from a petrol corrolla. I have to pinch myself every time I drive it. So far an 11 out of 10.😊
I actually thought it was a Suzuki when I first saw it in your thumbnail 😂
465Nm here or 450 for the MG3 can't be real, don't know why they still announce that unrealistic torque figures
You never seemed to be very comfortable , And the engine did sound loud as it revved through 4500rpm.

Your driving license should be confiscated and shredded upon entry to the dealership. IMHO
Why?
And you should be deported wherever the f..k your ancestor where from.
