  • Here's my top 5 list for the best summer golf shoes for 2020. Not much beats playing golf in the warm sun, but there's nothing worse than your feet overheating on the course, so here's some of the most breathable golf shoes I've tried this year.

Hi there, thanks for the review. Just purchased the Inesis shoes, and they are grippy and comfortable as you said. With autumn and winter round the corner, I wondered if you have tried the Inesis waterproof versions? Thanks

That's great to hear Piers, glad you like them. I will be reviewing the waterproof versions shortly, but from what I understand, they are just as comfortable underfoot, but sacrifice breath-ability with waterproof-ness (they score very highly on the My Golf Spy tests).
But yes, I'll be buying a pair soon and reviewing them in a month or two :)

@@GolfGuyReviews That might be a worthwhile trade-off when it's wet! Cheers

@@piersgooderham8674 For sure, and I think they're still only around £55 which is crazy cheap if they perform well, are comfortable, AND keep your feet dry!

Hi, I love the reviews but I have a few questions, when you buy golf shoes how much space to you think you should have between your big toe and the end of the shoe? I have looked at a bunch of sites and the information varies between a thumb and half a thumb. You should do a video of golf shoe fitting! You should also keep a ranking of where shoes are from most popular or the one's you like most to least, like Top Gear does for cars.

Thanks for watching Curtis. I'm pretty sure you've subscribed already, but don't forget to if you haven't already :)
In regards to how a shoes should fit, personally I try to aim for around half a thumb at the end of the shoe. I'm not an expert, but it's generally what I am for. I am planning on booking in with a Podiatrist and doing a video on how shoes should actually fit and all the different types of feet, as I then want to do a video on what shoes fit what types of feet.
The most important question is do they feel comfortable to you? Personally, I prefer shoes that lock my feet in position, like the UA Spieth 4, but there are plenty of shoes that have more room, like the Puma PWRadapt range. Also, do they give YOU enough support? Some people feel they don't need much support, and others, like me, feel they need loads to stop their ankles rolling over.
In terms of shoe rating, BRING BACK THE COOL WALL! I've thought about ranking every shoe I review, but the tricky thing is everyone's feet is different, so a shoe with a lot of arch support that I find really painful, will be really comfortable for my wife who has a high instep.
Instead, I'm starting to put out Top 5 videos like the one you watched, which are based on a specific aspect - Summer, Winter, wide-feet, Spiked, Spikeless, Casual, Performance etc. I might do my personal Top 5 soon too.
I hope that helps, and thanks again for watching and supporting the channel :)

How is the fit of the Nike Air Max 1G compared to the Nike Roshe G? Similar? Also How is the fit of the Inesis vs Roshe Gs? I know how the Roshe G's fit and it's very good for my narrow flat feet.

Thanks for watching Stickgs 👍 The Air Max 1 G is quite a narrow flat fit too in my opinion. And the Inesis is a much wider fit, a lot more rim for a slim foot, but still a very flat fit bed 👍

INESIS dry grip are fantastic. Have them in white. Comfortable as slippers with all the breathability and grip. My only concern with them is once you end up in the bunker (and I tend to be drawn to them like a duck to water) the sand is impossible to get out of the layered mesh and that crisp white is ruined. They look like the before from a DAZ commercial!! and it doesn’t wash out. Will defo get the waterproof shoes next 👍🏻

Thanks for watching Andy. Yeah they really are incredible value for money! Great point about keeping them clean if you’ve got the white versions! I wonder if the door step challenger translates to my US viewers? 😂

The Nike Air max 1 G mesh in white is really difficult to clean, worn them once on a really hot day, dust on the course paths and the white mesh has discoloured and cleaning them is a nightmare, wish I knew about the inesis, they look really good especially for £40 👍

Thanks for watching Martyn. Sorry to hear about your Nike’s. That’s a really god point about keeping them clean, the Nikes are more of a material than a mesh which will attract dirt like crap on Velcro! 😂

£40 ! Wasn’t expecting that ...... I’ve got Ecco Biom 3 that are so good that it bothers me wearing them to the range in case I wear them out !
For £40 these look like maybe a great second pair for me 👍🏻👍🏻
Can you review the Decathlon range finder? It’s £129 and looks great value if it performs.

FordF I know right! I’ll post my full review soon. They’re not the best overall shoes in the list, but if your priority is breathability, £40 is incredible value for money that can’t be ignored! They do a more stable waterproof version for £55.
I plan on picking up their rangefinder when I get a chance. Father and Son golf did a good review of it 👍
