Most of the Market Umbrellas sold in the USA are imported and there are no replacement parts for the rib or the tilt mechanism.

Its far easier to replace the rib.............

I checked and it wasn't far easier to replace the rib since the rib support hinge is a rivet and the hinge at the top was heavy gauge wire through all of the ribs and then twisted. So although it's doable, it's a big pain to disassemble the entire umbrella just to access the single rib.

He's right. Some manufactures don't even sell replacement rib assembly because for most customers it is far too difficult for them to replace. Now some are just replacing the complete upper half.
