    I just want to say that I have commented already on how I love your work and personality. I have a little hint on how I save as much Polycrylic , i myself need to save money. So I put a piece of good plastic over the can of Polly with a good rubber band , then a hole in middle where you can put your plastic bulb in to drain ! It works real good and do not loose a lot. Plus the small hole will keep air out of can. Just my idea. Take it or leave it. Love ya

    I used floor polish about 5 years ago and still to this day it has not cracked. The trick is to let it dry after you put in the glitter and before you put on the "lid".

    I started doing these a few weeks ago. My first Christmas tree I'm putting up! I have about 40 done, red and white! I picked up some flat clear ones and ones that look like lights today from Dollar Tree. Gonna have fun!

    I absolutely adore you. You made me smile and I would like to know what other crafts you have taught, if for no other reason, to make me smile.

    Honestly to me it’s the same. I have ornaments now for five years and no cracking. It price and personal preference. Mop N Glo is 4.00 and the polycrylic is 8.97. I only used it because I work at Lowe’s and used my discount. So it’s really about preference because these ornaments are easy it doesn’t take a expert. Anyone can do it.

    Thank you! I just watched a diy ornament video and she was using a floor cleaner for it, but I knew it probably wouldn't hold up over time. I searched UA-cam for other videos and found yours!

    Can I do a second layer of apolycrylic to add more glitter once the first layer is dry or will it mess up the ornaments? I used a light colored glitter and it needs a second layer to be darker.

    Very pretty and easy! How do you seal the outside deco so it won't come out over time?

    First let me say that I absolutely love this video! You're awesome!!! I do have a question though. I am currently attempting these for the first time. I noticed that yours has a significant shine to them. Is that because of the polycrylic or did you do something else? The first tutorial I watch used mod podge, so that's what I'm using. I'm going to let them dry overnight and see what they look like, but as of right now. They are kinda dull 😐

    • @samalopagus
      @samalopagus 3 роки тому

      Mod podge is most commonly semi-matte, so it's most likely the modpodge.

    • @hottmomof3
      @hottmomof3 3 роки тому

      @@samalopagus yeah the mod podge was an epic fail.. I actually tried a different option and it worked great! Thank you though.

    Hello! Do you think this will work with mod podge? I hope you answer. I know this video came out last year, but I really want to make my own ornaments this year. ❤️

      Valerie Aguirre I haven’t tried it and I read somewhere they it gets clumpy with mod podge? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I wonder if I used acrylic paint on the outside and sealed it with the polycrylic? Would that work?

    Has anyone tried using glitter acrylic paint on the inside?

    • @ginabarnett9024
      @ginabarnett9024 2 роки тому

      Yes it didnt work out for me it cracked. I also tried the glitter it glue that all the "pros" recommended and that didn't work either just a waste of money.
