This was wonderful! I just started your book and am LOVING it! I really resonated with what you said in the Intro “Getting really good at anything, including life, isn’t about doing it perfectly, cleanly and gently; it’s about doing it deeply, passionately, and full-out.” It may sound silly but that sentence gave me a strong emotional reaction. I tend to be too much in my head... so concerned with doing things “Perfectly” that I don’t end up actually doing them at all... That one sentence was so freeing! Thank you for all your inspiring videos and thank you for your fabulous book! One purely technical thing I will suggest from this video is look at your mic situation. Some of your P’s, B’s, and T’s popped pretty hard in the recording. Maybe set your mic a little farther away when you record... But as I said, that’s purely technical... Your content is, as always, fantastic!

Help me with one thing please... 5 is disruption and yet... in the majors, 5 is the hierophant which represents tradition and order... formal rigid systems. The opposite of what we think of as 5. Insights?

It’s mostly tradition. I think there might be some Kabbalistic tradition. But I can say that if it doesn’t ring true for you, there might be an association you connect with better. ☺️
That’s a good question! I try to keep my list of numeric keyword small because it can get confusing, but I also try to thing of how a concept like “stability” can change based on the context. Like, sometimes it’s stable and sometimes it’s being a stick-in-the-mud....and sometimes it’s standing still or sometimes it’s needing to stand still. It’ll depend on the question and the other cards.
So for me, it would be the emotional slog. Again, depending on the context, it would make me think of a couple who have been in a relationship for a long time and have found the "work" of the relationship to be more exhausting than the benefits. Or who need to really push to make the relationship work. The same really could go for friendships, if that were the question. If it were work-related, it would be the *feeling* of having to push so hard to get anything done. That sort of thing. Does that help?
I wonder whether your interpretation of these numbers has changed over the past few years (maybe because of life experience, or all the tarot readings you've since done, etc.) or whether this system has stayed largely the same. I found one of your recent YT videos on how you've changed as a tarot reader to be quite interesting, and I'm curious if that idea of change/development has also applied to your numerology system as well. (Not that I think there are any faults in the system you outline here! I find it quite thoroughly explained and helpful. I'm just a nosy lil divination diva.)
Hi Tom. Loving your knowledge! I find the 10's challenging. For example, 10 of Cups as "outcome". As 10 is the end of a cycle, how do you relate this to a reading? Happy, happy, joy-joy comes to an end? Very simplistic I know but trying to explain on a basic level. Unless it means you've attained that level of whatever, now it's time to concentrate on something else?
That's a great question. Sometimes, yeah -- it's "things work out feeling pretty good." I really do depend on what else is happening in the reading or what the question is. I remember an example where someone wanted to know what the state of their romantic relationship was and the 10 of Cups made me see that the relationship had run its course...it was more or less over, everything that could have been experienced had been and it was the end of that particular road. But there are also times when I think of ten as the "most" of a suit.....so, I did an example earlier where the 10 of Cups meant something like "feeling everything to the fullest." That's probably not super helpful, is it? For me it's almost always about what's happening with the other cards. Does that help at all?

I guess I can be disruptive because I don't like to follow blindly. Of all the FIVES I relate the most to the Suit of Spades/Swords and to some extent with the Suit of Clubs/Wands (sparing with ideas). I have definitely been through the Five of Diamonds/Pentacles and through the Five of Hearts/Cups and fully understand them well. Anyway, enough of my obsession with the Number 5. The good thing is that my Birth number is 6 (and yes, beauty matters to me) and the month 7 also resonates well. I am deeply interested in Numerology/Qaballah more so than Astrology. Thank you for sharing your approach to Numerology.
Five? I think disruption can absolutely be good -- particularly if you think about folks (like me) with a massive amount of fixed energy in our charts. We need that disruption big time!
