The reaction to this was hilarious and I can’t help but react to a few of your comments. I’ll paraphrase to keep it simple. “…could have looped up the first verse and chorus and from there it’s just the same shit” to which the other replies “It’s not like the old good songs, Psalm 69 or The land of Rape and Honey” You might want to relisten to those songs as they have almost fewer unique events in them. “This was nothing but a political statement.” Good point Ministry never expressed their politics in their music. Said no one evert. A complaint that the band has not changed followed by “maybe we can play their old stuff, when they were good.” “It’s just not inspiring like the old songs.” Was this one more inspiring? Ding ding dong a bong bong bing bong Ticky ticky thought of a gun Bing bing bang a bang a bang bing bong bing a bing bang a bong Binga bing a bang a bong bong bing bong bing banga bong Bing bing bang a bong bong bing bing binga binga banga bong Bing bing bang a bang bang bing bong Why, why, why, why? Ding dang a dang bong bing bong Ticky ticky thought of a gun Every time I try to do it all now, baby Am I on the run? Why, why, why It'll ticky ticky ticky ticky ticky ticky dawn of a gun Bing bing bang a bong a bong bing bang a Ticky ticky thought of a gun Bing bip bip a bop bop boom bam Ticky ticky through the day If you got a doubt 'bout, baby The memory is on the bed Jesus built my car It's a love affair Mainly Jesus and my hot rod Yeah, fuck it
Thank you for the comment. The old stuff may have fewer unique events, but the grooves were better and didn't seem forced like this one musically and lyrically.
@@dudecheckthisout4460 have you ever listened to Ministry? I bet you believe that RATM just became political recently. Re-listen to N.W.O. you know when ministry was good lmao. Uncle Al literally claims to be antifa, but you would know this if you had any clue what Ministry was about. Watch the video "Antifa" or "Twilight Zone"
You’re absolutely right! Your comment is great. This type of stuff is pure bigotry. You can argument about their old lyrics being more cryptic, but almost all of them were political! Thieves? Nwo? Jesuuuus…
How about a reaction to the group LOVEBITES, an all female Japanese metal band. Maybe try Break the Wall or The Hammer of Wrath. I'll tell you what, I'm 61 and this is the best thing to come to metal since maybe Alter Bridge.
I still like Dark Side of the Spoon and its reverbed psychedelic depth, but anything beyond that is not for me. Ministry has been a tragic parody for the past 25 years and that silent reaction says it all.
It's like what you'd expect if you asked AI to write a Ministry song. It followed the formula and had no life to it. The political messaging was simply reductive.
The record doesn't do the song justice... it really kills live.
It really does I've seen Ministry three times and I'm seeing them again at the end of August with Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie and Filter. 😝🤟
Caught the show at blossom music center... great lineup @@liamgoldsmith2955
Just saw them yesterday in Pittsburgh, the whole concert changed when they played it

Absolute anti Trump and MAGA tune, love it.
Like the message, the delivery was not the best. - Dave

Yes, I think I would like this one better if It was an instrumental and didn't have the imagery of this video.
