What if you could play Skyrim and Oblivion in Crusader Kings 3? In this challenge video join me as we attempt to revive the rarest culture - the ancient ayleids - from extinction in Elder Kings 2. Elder Kings 2 is one of the best overhaul mods for CK3 and allows you to play as any character from across Cyrodiil and Tamriel. In this campaign we will attempt an impossible start with a one county character in Black Marsh, attempt to retake the white gold tower and revive Ayleid power to establish the third empire of Saliache. This ck3 elder scrolls adventure is made on the latest crusader kings 3 update and features the elder kings 2 mod which allows you to play in Skyrim, Morrowind, Cyrodiil and beyond!

heres some ideas for a ek2 video.
Attempt to Invade as a akaviri parade. (play as a akaviri character and attempt to invade EVERYONE!)
Hold the Reach and push the Nords back to the beach. (As a reachman Ruler Kick the Nords and Bretons out of the mountians and convert the land to the Briar Lords)
Make High Rock,Lemony with the Direnni Hegemony (Take Over High Rock as the Direnni Clan)
Revive the Dragons with Nordic Flagons (Revive the Dragon Cult and Convert all of Skyrim.)
Play as the nords and remake the northern empire!
It could be nothing else than a Sixth House playthrough!

It's pretty impressive that you managed to outlaw Talos worship considering that Tiber Septim won't be born until several centuries later.
well then currency wouldn't be septims and black marsh would still be argonia, so we can assume that the timeline is significantly different

Start in Solstheim and restore the Dragon Cult to Skyrim
Something with Reachmen.
Ashlander domination of Morrowind, or a mega-Skyrim run, where you reconquer all the territories under King Harald, from High Rock to Morrowind, and maybe even under his successors, into the heartland of Cyrodiil as well.
Start as kogoruhn, restore the Sixth House as Dynasty and Religion and unite all of glorious Resdayn with it!
BRING BACK THE DWEMER !

Imagine you send an order to have all prisoners executed and not one person was like, “are you sure you want to execute your daughter too?”
It is a little annoying for anyone not wanting to use console commands that "Accomplishing" something like restoring a dead culture actually sets you back significantly. I think in general CK3 needs to scale down prestige and piety requirements. Like just reforming a culture in the base game costs at least 2000 prestige, the actually good ones cost 7000.
100% agree with you. I couldn't really play "ironman" due to this oversight - I knew in advance I'd have to console to not ruin the campaign. It's a shame too since I dislike consoling, even for stuff like this. The rest of the run was legitimate (and damn did those one county province CBs take a LOT of time!) so it's really unfortunate that I had to use it! Maybe they'll change it in the next EK2 update
@@AlzaboHD Yeah I've played EK2, but as Bosmer queen. I created the empire of Valenwood but found it too daunting to try and single province CB my way to the white gold tower. I'm surprised with the Ayleid religion it is similarly limited. No holy war CBs against man filth? Maybe I haven't found the best culture but they need more that can go after more than one county at a time. Daedra worshippers are usually surrounded by much stronger non-daedra worhsippers so using their holy war cb is tough.
I don't think the prestige should be REDUCED but it should scale somehow. It's very hard to get 2000 prestige as a medium-tier character, it's almost impossible NOT to get once you're above that. It should always take effort so it actually feels like a reward, and shouldn't an emperor need more prestige for their goals than a random count?
@@zakhawker344 I mean it depends on the goal. I don't think forming a new religion or reviving a dead culture should be really possible in any significant way for a minor count. but as ruler of a centralized empire. as someone with both great temporal and religious authority. they should be fairly doable acts. it also depends on what exactly your trying to do and how you go about it. playing tall as a count turned duke (and becoming your own duke should be the first thing any count attempts can get you quite a lot of money and prestige. whereas maxing out piety is a matter of performing religious acts and building temples. I personally never have a particularly hard time getting prestige. especially playing wide as you can litterally buy 400 pristie for 250 gold via titles that you then hand out to make subject happy and also buy even more via feast and hunting which you should be doing on cooldown. sometimes I struggle for piety requirements if I don't have the funds for Pilgramage + temple building.
I mean 50,000 pristige in 1 life is fairly simple to achieve. so I don't think 2-7k being spent on reforming an entire culture (something most people should not be able to accomplish at all.) is really all that high an ask. reasonably even one minor culture wide change should be the work of an entire lifetime if not of generations. though as this game makes it quite hard to pass prisige down your dynasty it would be unreasonable to set the bar quite as high as I think it should be.
in elder kings 2 playthroughs I tend to end it by my second or third character. because all my goals are complete. I usually already dominate my native empire, have converted all native land to my culture, and have built every building I can. I have far to much gold with nothing to spend it on. (last game I ended with 32K gold and I was gaining more than 200 gold a month.) unstoppable armies (I had 32K men. while my closest peer rival was a unified Skyrim that had 11K) and was a living legend for over 20 years on my second character. I reformed my faith and Culture. what else was left to do? as the son of the man I started playing with.
There is an ironman-compatible way to overcome this: You can hybridize the revived culture with a new one. But overall, yeah, this is something that the EK devs have yet to make work in a satisfying way I guess

What I even love more about your videos is this almost Storytelling style. I really got invested into this video because I admire how much depth it all gained, I really really love this. Shame that you didn't restore the old Nenelata for the crown that came with it, but this was a good video as always. Shame that restoring a dead culture doesn't use the same mechanics as forming Hungarian or English culture in the basegame (transfer old culture's traditions to a preexisting one)

"Ancestor" refers to earlier generations, such as parents, grandparents, and so on. The word you're looking for is "descendant".

"Ancestor" is parents, grandparents, etc. I forget the exact root word of Ancestor, but it means "to come before" and is similar in sound to Ante.
Children, grandchildren, etc are "descendants".
