Okay, loving the way CotW is shaping up to be, Hotaru got her own trailer, plus each character's voice overs get to voice over the CotW intro card name, including Hotaru's voice actress (Suzie Yeung). I seriously approve
I liked Hotaru's scenario, you can even see the MOTW tower in the background, so this means that the scenarios from the previous game will indeed return but with another perspective, her moveset is still good and I love the part with the aerial attacks, doing and seeing the combos using the Rev system will be one of the most satisfying things in this game, her hidden special was also slightly changed from MOTW but I liked how they did it, especially the part where she grabs the opponent using her legs, she probably got inspired by her brother Gato
The stages of this game are the most beautiful SNK has made since KOF XIV (I know the opinion of the game graphics but some stages of that game were really gorgeous)

These two might have some baggage behind their backgrounds, but I still want them to grow as better people. Like Rock can become like a deuteragonist instead of becoming an antagonist. Like he still loves Terry as a father and respects everything he did for him when he was a kid, but as he grows he starts looking for a different outcome in a let's say a high stakes conflict. Meanwhile Hotaru, while she does start incorporating some techniques from her brother and if she does have a negative impact on her finding out what kind of people her brother and father have become, she doesn't lose sight of all she's accomplished and becomes another killer in the family. I know outcomes might leave people change for the worse in some areas, but they don't need to become villains or antagonistic towards others or life in general.
Kinda doubt she'll be in roster tho, she's not really crucial in story. Heck, Futaba's father more likely be inserted here. I do hope no Hokutomaru, older Andy or Mai still better than that brat

Fck her stage is the best so far. I always loved her og stage from the first game. It was calm and quiet with serenity. Birds flying it was all around the symbol of peace kinda place.
Hopefully the extent of Hotaru's and Gato's interactions in this game are not limited to Gato simply denying his relation to Hotaru. We've waited too long! Let's see some closure or at least some progress! Best case scenario, though, Gato's dad will become playable in this game and the three will finally be able to settle their differences.
