Here, I'll explain the album cover. Anthony recently dated a girl that was under half his age, her being in her 20's and he being in his 50's, and the whole album is based around that relationship because it slowly crumbled to pieces. The little girl represents the girl Anthony dated, because she was so young. Now for the animals. It looks like the animals are leading the little girl somewhere. The animals, bear, raccoon, bird and fox (seen on the extended picture/on the back of the album) can represent different things. Notice how none of the animals are pets or animals you would keep in your house? They're wild animals. I think the girl Anthony dated left far away from home, just to try to find success in life. She moved to California to try to find success, and THE ANIMALS represent the new wild lifestyle she took on when dating him. The Chili Peppers (at least in their earlier years) were known for being a wild bunch, so maybe the 4 animals represent the band members? Album was out on 2016, so we have 2016- the 20 years its the year john came in peace with his friends in the band (1996) when he was about to cut off from the junkie life. The number 7 remarks the years John left the band back in 2016. Even if we comine 20+7 it equals 27 years which remarks the first collaboration of the squad (Mother's Milk). Yep, John probably said to the band that he did not want to stop making music with them, he just wanted a bigger hiatius from being a livestage rockstar so the band left this "easter egg" about it. Probably a consipracy theory, yet i tend to believe it after John returned to the Chilis.
Flea used his j bass with both pickups sound in the record but This is not a both pickup jazz bass sound. Thumbs down. You miss a lot of beat too. Fake.
In the original, the third section of the slap bass, the note just before the TA TA TA DU DU, has no mute, unlike the other section. But in here, that note has always been muted.
