Flea recorded this bass track as two seperate tracks. One with his fretless bass and one with his bass guitar at that era thus giving him the natural octave effect.
@@coliimusic The main bassline is actually mixed pretty prominently in the song. If anything it's the guitar takes a backseat in the mix. It's just that the octave overdub is lower in volume and sometimes removed entirely

+Zafer Toker de donde sacaste esa informacion?
It's everywhere. I don't remember where exactly though.
As far as I know the lower (bass? haha) one is in D standard and then plays the same part an octave up on a normal tuned bass.
@@zafertoker5977 How do you know it was a fretless? I know he had one in the studio. I did this clip about it: ua-cam.com/video/FF2HMgYNvkc/v-deo.html
this doesnt quite sound like the original.. did someone else play this?
It's from the bass master set all flea. The bass in the mix is just turned way down
@@coliimusic It should been made a little louder in the final mix.
@@cadendowdle8901 yeah

this is 100% Flea's isolated bass track
What is the bass he used for the recording, is it a fender jazz?
