That bottom screen is so handy when working in the old houses in my area. Almost none of them have enough room to stand up straight. So, if you want to see your screen when clamped on the service entrance conductors, you got to stick your head up in the cobwebs or use it upside down and do some yoga. I wish my flukes or amprobes had had that feature. I agree that this is a great meter for a fantastic price. Thanks for all the great information you put out in your videos
Im on the search for a dc amp meter for an invertor, batttery install in my rv to check the loads. and i found this meter online. Great revue and Im sold on it. My daughter is a 2nd yr IBEW apprentice this yr as well. Thanks again!
Man, I always appreciate your your reviews. I’m a automotive mechanic but I also do some A/C work. I know Fluke is the benchmark and I have their automotive meter but sometimes I just need a reasonably priced tool that is decent. That’s why I like your channel, you give a real world overview. 👍
My backup clamp meter from Ideal is one of the models down from this. It doesn't have all the features this one has but I only paid 60 bucks for it. It's proven to be rugged and reliable.
Man I’m gonna be honest, I was about to drop big bucks on a uei meter before this, but after seeing this I’m gonna give this one a try!! Great video man!
Awesome videos as always!!! I own the Ideal 61-737 Clamp meter, so far its been a pretty good instrument. I don't like the test leads they feel pretty stiff but it's something it can be updated. I'm apprentice 1st year and I have a question with something: A few weeks ago I was doing a commercial job and when I try to measure my primary voltage 600vac the meter gave me OL, then I took a Fluke 323 and gave me 604vac so I guess in order to have a accurate reading and a good margin of safety you should use the one with 1000vac max. Am I right? Or the Ideal 61-737 clamp meter should have no issue in reading 604vac.?
I apologize, but yes if you’re doing a portion of commercial, residential, and industrial I would purchase a 1000v clamp meter. And if that’s what you’re planning on doing I’ll purchase the FLUKE 376 FC Clamp Meter.
With this meter you get more bang for your buck, and i don't know of any other meter that can beat that. But my favorite overall clamp meter is a FLUKE.
@@TheElectriciansToolChannelLowes actually bought the rights to Klein, that’s why Home Depot got rid of 80% percent of Klein tools and replacing for Milwaukee. Lowes will sell more Klein therefore removing other brands. But I got one today for 64.99 as well 👌🏽
Big news where did you get that information from. I would like to repeat what you told me to my viewers on UA-cam. But I must verify the story. Thanks for the update.👍🏼
According to the data sheet provided by IDEAL INDUSTRIES the meter can measure 0-400 DCA. Now I don"t know if it'll measure that low it remains to be seen. I don't think they'll print it if it couldn't measure it. I apologize for the delayed reply. Thanks for watching and sharing, I hope this information helps.

Wow, I really appreciate your sincere appreciation for what I’m doing 👍🏽
I think Klein meters are made by Finest Instruments (Korea) or UEi. Ideal meters are made by Appatech.
I didn’t know that, thanks for sharing that information 👍🏽
Thank you for this video. I have an older Ideal meter but having seen this I just upgraded. Thank you again.
Glad it helped
Great video TETC, pretty unique for a clamp meter to have the two displays, a very handy feature!
Thanks TP IDEAL is a very reliable company. I have a few other test instruments by IDEAL and I’ve never had any issues with their products.

Well since you’re doing commercial electrical jobs I would purchase a 1000v clamp meter. The IDEAL max voltage is 400v I think 🤔.
The Ideal 61-737 is 400 amps 600 V

Bought one today. Cheers!
Good choice! Thanks for posting.
Great info , I've been looking at this meter
If and when you purchase this meter you won't regret it. Thanks for posting.

Would this be ideal for a home owner DIYer ?
Of course in fact I recommend it 👍🏽
I think fluke has a hand in making the clamp meters with that nob
Nowadays that wouldn’t surprise me 👍🏽
I have this meter and I love it. Very reasonable priced at lowes
I agree 💯%
What meter do u like better than this one ?

Because you’re still watching them. Thanks 👍🏽
I like that clamp meter for residential but not for commercial I am like your son the older one is better because of the cat 4
Great minds think alike 👍🏽
I think you are a cool cat
Thanks, it takes one to know one 👍🏽
I bought this meter yesterday at Lowes for $89.98.
You won’t regret your purchase. I guarantee it 👍🏽
Just bought this meter from lowes on sale for $64.99 because they are getting rid of Ideal products and stocking Klein.
Wow, I guess IDEAL wasn't selling as well as predicted. thanks for posting.
I actually saw this at lowes for that price i think i may pick it up

Does anyone know what is the lowest dc current this meter can measure ? Will appreciate if someone can share this information.
