Another well presented clip mate, this stuff is gold for myself as a coastie just starting out on impoundment fishing, had two trips so far first burrinjuck last year and windamere a couple of weeks ago, failed to turn a reel on both occasions but I won’t be giving up at any rate, keep em coming mate definitely appreciate the local knowledge 🤙
Hey Josh, thanks so much for the great comment, it means a lot to hear such positive feedback. It can be really hard working out the dams early on, especially if you don’t get the chance to fish them often. Burrinjuck is fishing great this spring but Windamere is far from easy atm, just spent a couple of days up there and had to really work for them. Keep at it mate, it will all come together. 🎣
Thank you. I’m not very familiar with Eppalock but I do know there is a fair population of yellas in there but they aren’t firing yet. I’ve just had a look at the report from Graham on the Social Fishing membership platform and it looks like they are yet to fire up with the water temps still down a bit.
Hey Transcendant, I have a few depending on what I’m throwing and what retrieve I’m using. For shaking grubs I like a light 2-4kg 7 ft with a mod/fast taper. The one in this clip is an old Samaki (10 plus years). For shaking 20gram soft vibes and the like I’m using an Abu 2-4 kg 7ft 2 it’s the Veritas Elite. It does a great job shaking the heavy vibes and although rated at 2-4kg by Abu it’s more like a 3-5kg. Reels are 2500 size with either 8 or 10 lb braid and 8lb leader for grubs and 10 for soft vibes.
Nice work Dan. Informative, engaging and well put together. What you see is what you get, no fluff and no boring bits. Thumbs up as always.
Hey mate, thanks much appreciated. That sums up my channel spot on. 👍🎣

Thanks mate, great to hear you enjoyed it.
Nice work mate👍
Thank you
Love the video but I was just wondering if like Eppalock is any good for chasing Murray cod and yellowbelly with the live scope
