If learning is your passion then don't worry about layoffs.
Just focus on learning and move forward.

Yes. Now, they can't fire someone who don't have a job. Safest is to not have a job 😂.

In most of the layoffs, manager opinion hardly matters. Lay offs mostly based on cost vs performance vs importance / replacement cost. All these done at unit heads level and HR managers.

My experience in 2020: Even average performing employees were fired in Accenture in 2020 and after 6 months they gave a decent bonus to existing employees. In this case, both company and employees were doing well.

Everything said here is not news to everyone. We all know this. Real advise - Working for MNC's always has an early expiry. Instead, start working towards something of your own. It can be small scale or large scale, depending on your interest and investment, but after the age of 40, it's best to find a business that you own and run.

Why these Layoffs only for the peoples who are in the bottom of the Hierarchy ? Top managements are immune to these layoffs. Even the CEO also enjoy hefty amount of Salary while the company is in crisis.

Dear one. Layoffs, fire, restructuring are the tools which management uses for getting control/improvement in work climate/employee improvement. CEO sare also come in such dilemmas but in a different way. A common employee can't get the idea about such trouble to higher position persons. Please reply. Be happy.

First step dont get married or begin a family as too much expenses, wait till late 30s or early 40s and you have a lot of savings. Always leave soon as you see the red flags. Now best option is to take any job even very low salary and live with parents then leave soon as you get another opportunity.

India should come up with more entrepreneurship than working under others. Even The country will be stable if it is grown in the manufacturing sector. IT can be shifted by anytime to any place. But manufacturing plants couldn't be shifted easily since they invested a huge amount on infra.

brilliant! In my case, performance was top notch but three years ago I had negotiated with the management to allow me to work in a project of my choice, not their choice. Since the requirement was burning at that point, they allowed me to work as I willed. Clearly I was leagues above those yes men, working on my terms. When it was time to choose some 30% employee to let go from the team, my name obviously found its way! But no regrets. Never cower to management.
