It could have been the hit box not being active when it passed banana guard, the effect for the attack wasn’t up yet when he was near bg, but yeah, Jason needs some fixes
No move priority, massive hurtbox, no disjointed hitboxes, hitboxes are tiny or awkward or just straight up dont match the animation, insane start up and end lag, clearly up smash doesnt work. Man this character is ROUGH, especially in 1v1. fix his hitbox bullshit and maybe slightly better start up frames on normals PLEASE
i think his frame data is fine. jusy fix the buggy up attack and make his attacks disjoints (you know, since he uses a axe and machete) and i’d be content
@@WiseJr_Akil start up frames make it sometimes impossible to hit back vs faster combo characters. Even if you dodge away they can usually chase dodge and attack before you can get your attack out. Just start up frames on certain moves, end lag is fine, it should be slow. Aside from sleeping bag, useless move, small payout for 8 million frame end lag.

Bro I swear the fact that they can hit your WEAPON and it damages you and not them is so stupid. I’ve also had instances where my machete would literally pass through the opponent and do nothing. They did not dodge.
I love Jason and think he's super fun, but my god man he needs a lot of tweaking. Hurtboxes on the weapons, moves just straight up going through people, I want to play him but it's just so painful sometimes #BuffJasonMVSpls

I agree you can delete people with whiff punish combos in 1s if you are patient and have good movement, in 2s hes just too big and slow to keep up with 2 opponents

I think he is bad in 1v1 as well due to bad hitboxes and how vulnerable he is when attacking, even when using the attacks that can actually hit far. It is simply too easy for competent players to punish Jason compared to the difficulty he has doing the same. Obviously if your opponent isn't good either, it can be a different story.

I feel like for whatever reason his Machete has a Hitbox sometimes…. As a Jason Main who just wants to play the Funny Slasher…. please buff him or nerf the characters who constantly just bully this poor Moonwalking Corpse.
Why the hell his neutral special damages him?! What's the point of that, you ain't hitting empowered attack half the time anyway (in 1vs1). Also reduce endlag on sleeping bag and make the neutral special trully unstopable (don't count it as armor that you can break).

A lot of Jason's moves are grabs...that have no armor or invincibility. So, he's ALWAYS getting knocked out of his animations in 2v2s. Awful...

I say update him so attacks can confirm. Overall, Jason is a very great ones character. 2v2s is where you are weak because of size.
