reminds me of getting thee forklifts bogged... first one, 2.5T, picking up a pack of palings, sort of half propped up on a train rail, bit of a retaining wall. tines fell over the rail, soft mud, worn tyres... she hooked. by the time i got it unhooked... stuck. right. out with the 4T! she slides sideways and wedges itself against a tree. oh dear. i hope the gates unlocked... 10T being kept in the yard next door and it being sunday... yay. gates unlocked... right. hooked that up, and yep. she slid sideways the other way and wedged itself against the timber rack. oh poop. well, at least i know i can get the crane out... (same deal as the 10T) lucky it was sunday, raining, and noone come demanding pallets be pulled down... so no-one ever knew. except then i had to explain the quagmire come monday... well, whos freaking idea was it to store packs of timber in the mud anyway?
WOW. It really looks like double jeopardy pulling a dozer out with a dozer. Its the quickest way out, but if the second one gets stuck then its a lot of downtime. Every thing becomes a gamble with mud. You gotta call the shots and ya did.
Good work with your videos Matt keep them coming I need more of them to watch .I just got out hospital Sunday from a total hip replacement so things will be quiet for at least 6to8 weeks.Being a farmer since born on cane and dairy farm ivate sitting around.Should have recovered by time I turn 76 .Top videos there are plenty of u.s.a and england with farmers pulling out calves every day never had to do it so I don't need to see it bow cheers John from Bundaberg Bundaberg Australia I
Hello from Canada , great camping/R&R pictures , just the same as we do it here 😊😊😊❤ it’s quite common to replace the bolts in the roller and idler caps , always had a piece of steel tube / pipe of the right size around to weld on the broke piece , and never seize on the threads , so they come out easier the next time they break . Also been in the hell hole on lots of D10s ,it’s easier to remove drive shafts on the big guys than say D 8s as you have to do it laying on your belly .😮 There must be deep top soil in your area ,lots of dark black soil to dig in ! Keep up the cool videos good luck
Hi gang, better take that cover off the stabiliser link and make sure it's a little problem and before it gets to a major costly breakdown!!! It's another great video and have a good time to rest up!!
I got to do those bloody air cleaner filters daily. Preferably at the end of the day so I don’t start the new day covered in dust. Mind you my dozer has been stretched to take the V 12 cat motor. Good stuff. Cheers
Lucky you got out of that Bog so easy - And being so close to one another -- Here you`d be camping in the cab people thinking that`s funny there`s a seat and cab in the middle of nowhere Cat below the turf line LOL.
I would be interested to know how much material the D11s move every year, I know of one in the UK that shifted 1million tonnes a year slot dozing gravel, doing 8hr shifts 5 day weeks 👍🏻🏴
How long is a piece of string? That black soil is heavy shrinking and swelling clay. In some places it is alluvial, in others it is not. When it is dry it will soak the water up but when it gets wet that’s it. The top couple of inches will dry enough in about a day to drive on but if you run into a bit of silt you won’t go far. Really good country but you have to know how to live with it.
Little bay monitor lizzard, he is scared of flying fish, usually they hide up in the tree facing away from humans, I had a couple of big Goanna's in my place when they heard me coming they would race up a tree and hide, one of them was at least 3 metres long or more.
We used liver wrapped in womens nylons when catfishing. Nothing else worked keeping liver on the hook. A small square, tied the ends together and hook it. Off and running.
Hi guys, Just watched a guy reconditioning the Blade lift yokes of a D11. Seems like he knows a thing or two about machining heavy equipment parts. If you ever need it, he is in south end of QLD. (ua-cam.com/video/sZqJJNlJqHY/v-deo.html) Cheers, EJ
A good operator knows when to stop. Well done mate.
And a good farmer does not destroy his water courses
I don’t mind how many times we see servicing, always interesting to me. The lads had a good camp by the looks, plenty of fishing stories I bet 😂
Dozin Campin Fishin is DCFing fun!

Enjoying more of family on camera being honest farmers

Any spots U are not sure of U back the dozer across..if U get stuck U can usually recover yourself with the blade
Good job. Looked pretty sketchy where Brad was working too. Have ya'll ever used scrapers behind your steigers?
Brad you need more order forms for the guys ... haha
What is the water infiltration rate pr. hour in the soil on your land?

Servicing very important job catch things before they become a major issue hopefully.

Who's tent had a gowana in for a sleep over😄😄
Any gold in that creek?
under the shade of a coolabah tree ,,
How much fuel does one D11 use per day? Gerald. Feilding NZ.
Hi Gerald, they use about 100-120litres an hour👍 a usual day is about 10hrs of operating😁
Remember filters are way cheaper than part's for those D11s
Nice crack
