Your dad is such a cool guy. The knowledge he has is wild. Not many people get to work with their family and actually get along with them, nice to see that still exists
@@barryfuller8184 Was explained in a previous video. From memory, it is to enable reversing out of boggy ground, and not going too far into the bog to begin with.
Great work as always. You dad reminds me so much of my own, he used to disappear off to make something that seemed such a wild idea. It was rarely pretty, but always functional. He was also from the necessity is the mother of invention era! which is sadly slowly disappearing.
Good to see it done. We can bog a duck on the tablelands at Armidale st the moment, north of 80 mm in the last couple of weeks. Hope it hasn’t gone too far west although summer crops would benefit.
You mentioned sticking a bracket on with silicone, if you want something that will never come off, get some sikaflex 252, sticks like shit to a blanket. It's the same sort of stuff they use to glue in car windscreens, so you don't want to use it on things you want to take apart at a later date.
No worries, Peter. No matter how off-the-cuff or spur-of-the-moment your project or idea might be, there is ALWAYS a good story and a bit of history behind each one. 🙂
I love your Commer big banger big Perkins I use to drive one in the 70s hauling roof tiles from Sydney to Canberra up razor back in low low doing 8miles per hour. I hope you have a good Crop best wishes cheers 👍👍👍👍🚜❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I swapped out all my lights on a grader for LED lights and came to find that they emit a frequency that interferes with CB radio frequency and had to take them all off so i could talk on the radio. Hopefully you wont have the same problem Matt. Cheers from Canada!
Hey Matt! Great video. Obviously Dad produced it 😂. Show us some of the hands on, wiring and installation too. It’s always interesting. Dad’s Mad Max Machine is cool
That trailer will be a ripper, you should do a series on it 😂👍, the modern 44 gal drums are too thin to do what dad wants, plus it will rust out in no time. Unless you’ve got a really old 44 somewhere .👍
Hey Matt, I was sort of expecting to see some night footage of the work lights to go with your explanations during fitting them up. Anyway harvest is just around that corner now.
Fuel pod costs about the same as a set of stedi lights , but like most of us making do with what you have can be a good challenge , time is your only cost . Some times that is very hard to buy .😁
Can vouch for the steadi lights, no water got in after years of pressure washing on the front on my rig. The fuse blew once when I was using it to break ice and submerging it under water in the winter, but you’ll get that. Put a new fuse in and it’s good.
Great video Matt looks like a fun place to work you guys play all the time 😂😂 how are your friends bones healing hope he’s better I sympathize I had 7 operations on my right arm three wheeler crash. Tell your dad great job.
LED lights can be hit and miss...make sure you test them within 30 days for refund purposes. Stedi are above average build and are responsive to performance issues. U gets what you pay for!
Hi Matt and the guys. Two weeks away from cutting osr? It's only just finished flowering. I can't get my head around your seasons! It's the beginning of spring there I thought? Cheers.
Great job installing the lights and light bar Matt
Good luck with your project Peter

Peter is a legend!
Why do you guys run your drive tires on your combines back wards?

Dad is awesome. He’s always a pleasure to have on the show. Cheers from the ole USA 👋
Great video Matt

Nice of the manufacturer to give you that bracket on the roof on the header to work with.
After getting home from our holiday I’m pretty keen to head back to that secret spot 😂. Crunching now for weeks
awesome video. Tell dad I've got some VW Amarok rims and good tyres he's welcome to if he wants them for his work of art.

Hi William, yep I would of liked to get some footage of them working but I didn’t get an opportunity to test them yet👍
@@thejacksonbrothers Oh don't tell your dad but he has got some great ideas!!
@@thejacksonbrothers Don't worry too much - the camera never shows how good lights are.
stedi lights are really nice 👍🙂
Good job 👍

Wheat etc are winter crops here.
I think Peter’s trailer is a bit like grandads axe……
Another great video Matt. You guys getting itchy feet for harvest yet?
Thanks Wayne! Not looking forward to a wet harvest but keen to get it off👍
During harvest, do you work 24 hours in the combine? I don't recall any night footage from the previous harvest...
There was a lot of night work.
What do I have to do to come hang out with you guys for a week?
Does a warranty comes with your dad's "new" fuel trailer?
Are you sure that you can't fix those tires.
Only need a bit of slime :)
They reckon tireject is better than slime .
Just need some duct tape.
Warranty is your friend?
