I would like a Ford E-transit equeivalent with Tesla tech underneath. Including Tesla Software and App and Safety and and and. Do you know another product delivering those?
A truck towing or going offroad without a spare is the epitome of dumb. It's not a matter of if but when you get a flat. If you are alone and/or miles from rescue, you are royally screwed. A spare tire on a truck should be standard.
BIG OVERLOOKED POINT. (Inspecting" tire to eliminate flats is a pipe dream) Spare Tire needs a jack big enough to lift truck UNLESS YOU CAN USE PNEUMATIC SUSPENSION to lift then lower on blocks. Unless tire self destruction and if nail is in tread area, use an emergency plug patch to get to a repair shop. Does CT have a compressor?
About the spare tire… I drive around 30k miles a year. I average about a tire a year (already had a sidewall blow out this year). A vehicle that comes with at least a donut is a make a break deal for me. I don’t drive any where crazy, I’m just commuting from Indiana to Chicago. As a truck focused channel I’m surprised you have that opinion about spare tires
We vacation in Montana & Wyoming usually 2 weeks per year, run kayaks on rivers & car-camp at river accesses. Spare tire needed on average every other year. I'm not willing to wait 1 or 2 hours for tire repair service to drive out to remote areas, plus we don't always have cell service. Spare tire is a must.
I drive on average over 75k a year and have had to utilize a spare one time. I was less than a mile from my house and the tires were probably 25 years old on a vehicle I had recently started driving and had been sitting for some time. I have plugged tires on the side of the road but none of the punctures were bad enough that I couldn't simply add some air and continue about my journey and fix it when I got to where I needed to go.
Has to be better than my Maverick after a year and a half. Coolant loss with coolant valve failure, seat flexing tear forming, 12 volt battery not charging, modem failure (meaning no wifi, no GPS, no long distance start, no ford app use), brake force inconsistent, driveline shutter, airbag recall, crankshaft failure bandaid recall (no full fix determined yet) emergency stop actuation (going into some driveways and parking lot entrances), door unlock on door handles doesn't work sometimes. There's still more.
Typical Tesla quality...once the magic of EVs goes away and they become viewed as just normal everyday vehicles, I feel like people will realize that these Telas aren't built to the highest of quality standards 😅
I’m just beginning to realize I have been on the fence about the cyber truck because of the stainless steel exterior. What’s scary is that, it’s only going to get better. My only problem is that sore thumb looking wiper. It sticks out like a 6th finger. Perhaps if the wiper hangs from the top with a shield protection. Aesthetically, the truck will have a better symmetry. Nevertheless, This is the bramah bull of trucks. Love it 👌🏾
Have you driven it in winter snow storm? The lights seem like they would quickly fill up with snow and block the lights. Especially the side marker lights. Any thoughts?
Ive said this before but I dont think this works as a truck per say. Too little range but if you're not doing blue collar work that often then I could totally see this as a daily driver.
The wrap makes a huge difference. I’ll wait about 5 -10 years to decide if we finally get into the EV market. I’m pretty sure everyone will have one eventually!!
@@is6566 But you don't drive your appliances around town, through rain and snow and sand and dirt. You also don't have guests coming over daily. Vehicles are seen by outsiders far more often and people's finish choices will depend on what they find value in. Some people buy white cars for a clean look. Some buy black trucks even though they live in the desert cuz they want it "murdered out". Others buy red, blue, or yellow to stand out.
thats because you have a big trunk! now try other vehicles or cybertruck which does not have a trunk. I always wanted a truck but wanted enclosed storage... the Lightning solves that issue. @@wolfgangpreier9160
As hard as EV's are on tires, I would think it more important to have a spare. Are the tires on the CT a standard off-the-shelf size that you could easily find on a trip?
Really glad you did this video and did not edit out the owner's true feelings. Funny how the truck didn't keep their towing, range, or payload promises - the things that make a truck, not the infotainment and lack of door handles. It's really trendy, lets see how they last and how fast they go up for resale.
Who cares is range is lower than "promised". Unless you are an accountant policing speeches, what other EV will you buy? I'm sure Tesla wishes batteries were further developed.

You don't 'need' any vehicle that accelerates 0-100 in 5 seconds.
How easy is it to charge with a trailer attached? The super chargers I've seen near me are generally in big box store parking lots and all the drivers back up to them. I have no personal experience with them. I hope one wouldn't have to unhitch to charge.
To me, this is the biggest problem… Even the range deficit from the announcement I could accept if Tesla would provide at least a “pull-thru” dispenser at most superchargers, but they’re unfortunately quite rare… In Europe they’re plentiful. 😢
There are some supercharger stations that have 2-3 extra chargers where you can park with a trailer attached. I guess tesla will add them to most superchargers over the next year when there are more and more people that tow a trailer with the cybertruck.

These modern pick ups in general have become less practical as they become more mainstream but this doesn’t really try and perhaps it doesn’t need to. It not for that. Can you add roof racks? Does it come as a cab chasis? The bed seems restrictive. That tonneau cover is going to fail in service. No spare tire? The spare will take up payload space. It’s heavy and it tows? It’s just not going long distance. And if you add a battery pack it weighs more. You can’t do your job without worrying about getting smudges on it? Seriously it’s not for doing stuff.
I appreciate your comment and concerns. The truck market is difficult because everyone uses their truck differently. For example, I have a ten year old mid-size truck with a canopy. I haul building materials in the bed several times a month. 4 wheel drive is a must. My muddy dogs ride inside the canopy, so tonneau covers don’t do much for me… guess they would ride in the back seat. I never tow. I occasionally off-road to access hunting and backpacking areas (5-10 times per year). I have lugged a full-size spare around for close to 200,000mls now and have never used the spare or had a tire failure on the road. I pick up a nail/screw once in a while, these result in a slow leak, I air it up on my shop and I take it in for repair. Not a big deal.
@@markplott4820 Thanks Mark. The savings associated with EV’s are real, and the CT does offer a great feature-set. I own a Tesla MY and I get it. As outlined in several of the comments here, the CT is not going to work for everyone (including me). The $100k CT price is out of my price range, especially when I can replace my current rig with a lightly used truck for about $40k… The delta between this and a modern EV truck will buy a lot of oil changes and gasoline. I am an easy going guy and don’t need much to satisfy my mission. In 10 years this debate will likely be moot as battery tech improves, high speed charging infrastructure becomes ubiquitous, and EV truck prices (new and used) better align with similarly equipped machines.
@@markplott4820 Thanks again Mark. I reviewed several of your comments below and I do not think we are going to come to an agreement here… and that is okay. Last parting comment for your consideration. Regarding the CT offering “MORE utility” is a qualitative statement. Utility will differ radically from one customer to another. For me and my mission, the CT will offer a bit less utility than a newer Tacoma. The truck market isn’t about winners and losers , it is about choice and finding the best piece of equipment for each of our missions. The CT is another option, and I prefer more options than less.
Okay I don't own this vehicle but it's my understanding that you put your foot on the brake and the car is already in reverse or drive depending on it's position. If you don't like the current selection you release the brake and brake again and it will select the opposite direction.

lol, straps should not go in the sub trunk they should be in the frunk. Once’s you’ve loaded the bed, good luck getting another strap if needed.
Had it for nine days, he's still in the honeymoon stage. Of course, he loves it.
I have very positive impressions towards the Cybertruck, but your closing comments are why I would hesitate being an early adopter-I am one who doesn’t seek attention. I had the first Model Y in my area in 2020 and enjoyed the questions and talking to people about electrification as well as driving an EV. Eventually that won’t be an issue.
CITY: You don't need a spare tire, bring a tire-plug kit and a small compressor to refill the tire after you plug (Patch) it.
HAULING A TRAILER: You could put a spare tire on the trailer.
OFF-ROADING: 3rd Party bracket to hold a tire on the outside of the tailgate like a jeep, or maybe someone will make a roof mount for a spare tire down the road..
While a patch kit is good. You still need a spare for sidewall damage.
You are able to change gears from above at the rear view mirror post.
That is intentional redundant backup as well.
Yes. We know this.
I never minded the yoke and the blinker button, but I HATE swiping to drive or reverse. I also hate the horn button which they fixed on the Cybertruck
can't see hating the swipe to drive or reverse since you do that only while you are stopped? Seems like the turn signals on buttons would be harder to get used to.
@@brucec954 problem with the swipe is if you don’t perfectly execute it, it doesn’t take. Super annoying especially when executing a multipoint turn in the middle of a busy road or something like that. The blinkers are great both hands stay on the wheel and it is just a move of the thumb. Kinda like driving a motorcycle and the thumb blinkers
@@brucec954 Ever drive with gloves on? Besides, even if it works perfectly, it’s still irritating that they intentionally made something worse for 0 gain elsewhere. At least they still have the buttons on the ceiling, I’d be using that all the time.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that there are buttons under the rear view mirror that let you put the car in drive or reverse. So you don't have to swipe if you don't want to. Also if the screen should not work you still have them.
Great video , nice flow.
This is the best looking cyber truck I’ve seen so far🔥
Why do people go to every Cybertruck video to comment how ugly it is and how much they hate it? If they hate it so much, why are they watching every single video that comes out? 😅
thanks guys for another great and informative video. definitely like getting Eric perspective. i will say i was towing my travel trailer to the lake a couple of years ago and I was about halfway there, and my tire went flat, it turned out the valve stem blew out. definitely a good idea to have a spare because even if you check your tires regularly you might not see a valve stem is about to go lol!!!!!
Were you using the Tesla supercharger when you said you got it down to 90 miles of range and it took a hour and fifteen minutes?
Thank you men. Time tells on the longevity.
Vaportruck! Love it, can't wait to see how it ages 10 years from.
Excelent video. Love the personal touch and first impressions - reaction from an owner is the best!
The wrap looks great, excellent interview. CT is not for me but I don't hate it.
I imported a Toyota Troopy 4.5 Diesel instead myself.
I would like a Ford E-transit equeivalent with Tesla tech underneath. Including Tesla Software and App and Safety and and and. Do you know another product delivering those?
Slide on the lights from right to left to turn it on
Best wrap color ive seen so far. Looks like gunmetal.
your front lights are broken. There are touch sensitive. its supposed to come on when you touch them. Mine works fine.
That is the best cyber truck wrap Ive seen. It's jaw dropping awsome
How much for the wrap?
A truck towing or going offroad without a spare is the epitome of dumb. It's not a matter of if but when you get a flat. If you are alone and/or miles from rescue, you are royally screwed. A spare tire on a truck should be standard.
Tow a spare tire, too. 😂😂😂
A ford will come tow it out😂
Not a fan of the CT in general but his looks much better than the stock look.
- any 3Tonne bottle jack will lift a wheel - even if "fully loaded"... (it has compressor for suspension, not to pump tyres - there is a $550 option).
there is an optional compressor but basicly it is a 110V model you plug into the outlet of the back of the truck
I do not carry and spend energy on things i do not need. Not in more than 40 years f driving.
@@daveallen7767 Interesting country you are living in. Why do you not use your guns to defend against those shooting your tires?
There are, and will be more spare tire options. It just won’t be standard, as not everyone needs one.
"Have you had any issues with it so far?" asks André. "No..." *dome light fail, mirror light fail immediately follows
@@matthewgoedtel5998damn, sounds awful!
@@markplott4820 Mark, no tesla fanboy excuse for the non working lights?
@@markplott4820 You tesla bots are slipping, should have had a made up talking point prepared for any contingency, Elon won't be happy with you.
Love it 👌🏾
I have yet to see anyone video that ginormous wiper in motion. It seems it would leave 1/4 of the windshield 'unwiped'?
The tab on the door comes with experience in making vehicles for a long time.
When Andre asked him if he wanted to hop into the back seat with him 😅❤
Have you driven it in winter snow storm? The lights seem like they would quickly fill up with snow and block the lights. Especially the side marker lights. Any thoughts?
A+ on the wrap.
his channel link in the description does not work, and i can't find him by searching for 'butter ev'
Nice review, first video I've watched checking out the inner parts of this vehicle.
I have no idea why TESLA didn't add heads up display!!??
Its less safe becomes a distraction in testing so they didn't
Funny how everyone hates finger prints on stainless steal appliances but will never buy plain white or black one... Why is that???
Because white especially but black too means cheapest appliance.
I’m happy with my ram 1500
What kind of wrap is that? Is it vinyl? Where’d you get it done?
The more videos I see on Cybertruck, the more I am happy that I went with Lightning. an actual useable Frunk. =)
I do not use my Frunk in the Modle Ys. So: I don't need that thing. But i need some more space to haul. I hope Tesla imports the CT to Europe.
thats because you have a big trunk! now try other vehicles or cybertruck which does not have a trunk. I always wanted a truck but wanted enclosed storage... the Lightning solves that issue. @@wolfgangpreier9160
Nice cope
@@boostavlol definitely not. I waited till after specs and price came out. Just picked up lightning…. And can have two of them for the price of 1 CT.
Nice video. What kind of wrap is it? I really like the way you kept the stainless look to it!
The official name of the wrap is 3m 2080 film in brushed black metallic.
@ronin7645 ah! Nice look! Thx
That wrap is unreal. ❤
As hard as EV's are on tires, I would think it more important to have a spare. Are the tires on the CT a standard off-the-shelf size that you could easily find on a trip?
“I wanna get it dirty”
Same guy also complained about fingerprints on the stainless steel. LOL!
A truck must haul things. I need one for 350km in winter. No trailer. Which one do you recommend? And please no more fossils.
@@wolfgangpreier9160 Hire a ricksha
@@strykerentllc we do not have enough people for a rickshaw that goes 0-100 in 5 seconds and can travel 350 km on one charge.

Great 1st impressions video Andre!
Great wrap! What's the brand and model of the wrap called? It definitely carries the essence of dark stainless steel look.
The official name of the wrap is 3m 2080 film in brushed black metallic.
- the guest could get a retractable tonneau cover for his Ram - readily available - options abound..
External, weather proof push button to operate, not a great stretch (simple to integrate with central locking using a low power SS relay/or latching relay).
It looks like a ton of fun and a huge pain in the ass
The hype from other people would drive me nuts. Everywhere you go people are taking pictures, standing by it for selfies, etc...
Excellant complete and honest!
Beautiful Truck. I Love my short box Sierra Truck.
29:40 "I was disappointed with the towing ability, the payload, and the range"....so you bought a Tesla Cybertruck for?????
Lol, I was thinking the whole time, damn this guy is going to be disappointed when it comes to doing truck stuff. Hadn't gotten that far yet. Lol.
Because the revised towing and payload figures are still class leading.
I want a truck to get dirty but fingerprints drive me crazy lol. Nice vid. Should have mine soon :>
That’s bed cover is going to be very expensive when it breaks lol
Does this thing fit in a home garage? Seems most people like to charge overnight.
Yes, it fits in an American 2 car garage. I saw a video where a model X and Cybertruck fit in a 2 car garage. It was tight, but fit.
Great choice on the wrap!!!
Tell @Butter_EV that swiping across the indoor light bar turns it on - i believe right to left is on and opposite for off.
Rear tire carrier/heavy duty, bumper combos, will be all over the market soon kind of like jeeps accessories
Can you please tell me which rap did you use on your Cybertruck? It looks awesome. I want to put it on my.
is that the evolv 3d brushed metal wrap?

I've been able to do a 6.7 0 to 60 with the AWD. With brake boast and removing track control

@butter_ev What color of wrap is this? I like the overall OEM look of it! 👌
Thank you that was great!!
16:44 So for $20k extra you get floor mats. 😂
... & the "Fool-Self-Driving".
People have resources. Oil change for Bugatti can be $30K and that’s for old tech ICE.
It does have slots for roof racks. They worked pretty closely w contractors when dveveloping it. Lightning a very good truck also.
@@markplott4820 LOL. Okay Mark… there must be be more… please keep going
