    Daryl has a hard time letting people get close to him, yet he's let the core group get close to him. He'll do whatever he can to protect those close to him. He's especially close to Rick. All he saw was that someone was about to kill Rick, and they had to go in his mind. It happened to Morales. Daryl is far more attached to Rick than he ever was to Morales.

I was against taking the prisoners back to The Hilltop because there are definitely bad seeds among that group but I was kind of mad that Daryl kept killing people Rick was having a conversation with. The great thing about Rick is that he's good at being reasonable and trying to convince people to see from his perspective. I mean most of the people that follow Rick now were against him in some capacity when they first met and that includes Daryl. RIP Morales XD I always loved his return TBH. He was a great character to parallel between himself and Rick. Both were good family men doing anything to protect their wife and kids. And both made that journey from then in Atlanta to here now during the war. It just goes to show how the people you fall in with can change who you become in this world. Rick fell in with the right people so when he lost his wife and others he had a support system to bring him back. Morales lost his family and had the saviors as his "support system". It also goes to show how knowing someone can change everything. Rick killed a man trying to protect his daughter cause it was easy. He didn't know him. He knew Morales for like 2 days back at the start and wants to save him simply cause he remembers who he used to be. The truth is both Morales and that guy were probably nice people before the end. But simply knowing him changed everything for Rick, even though Morales had become a "Monster". Also speaking of monsters, Daryl is becoming a monster. The way he kills Morales is brutal. Without thought. Even though he knew who it was. And then the way he guns down the savior that Rick gave his word to. Daryl's rage and revenge against the saviors is most definitely turning him into a monster. He just wants to kill them all without thought.

Rick was NOT going to get through to him in the amount of time they had. He was trying... Morales just seemed very stuck... this is who he is now. So honestly... they HAD to kill him. Between them murdering Saviors in their sleep and Daryl killing Saviors with extreme prejudice, our heroes are capable of truly horrific things. I think Rick was lying to Morales and himself about finding another way, at least at first. You can see the gears turning in his head after Morales' death, that maybe they should be doing things differently, because any one of the Saviors they fight could be just like Morales. A good person who was broken by the cruelty of the apocalypse.

    Hello Morales, goodbye Morales. Thanks for coming! But mostly thanks Daryl! I love Daryl in wild mode. People have been through a lot during season 7, and I wouldn't put my family's life on the line in the MIDDLE OF A WAR. I also love the confrontation between Jesus and Morgan, I think they both have points, and during these episodes you can see that they are both partly right. Although with Daryl in those two moments I think he did the right thing. It doesn't matter to me like to others THAT SUDDENLY! Morales appeared, yes, that type of wardrobe from season 1.
    Wow, the truth is, I didn't remember this episode as such a good one! Great reaction guys. A lot remains to come :).

    Morales was right. Officer Friendly has been dead a long time. And just like Robert Kirkman always says, him and Negan are just two sides of the same coin. Rick isn’t the good guy anymore. He hasn’t been for a while.

    • @jd1800
      @jd1800 4 роки тому +11

      @@leila7132 For me it's the fact that he is a dictator who rules through fear and influences behavior by having his people indentify as himself like a cult. He also enslaves other communities and murders one member of each group he comes across indiscriminately. Plus, he uses his position of power to coerce women into being his wives.
      Rick on the other hand, rarely kills anyone who didn't pose a threat to him and his group. Keep in mind that it was Negan's men who tried to attack Daryl, Abe, and Sasha on the road first, and Rick's slaughter of the outpost was partially meant to rescue a hostage.
      Saying that Rick and Negan aren't very different is tempting because it's contrarion and sounds deep, but it doesn't really hold water if you look at anything besides their kill count.

      @@colossians3236 Considering Negan murders without provocation and the Saviors will do his murder-bidding anytime he wants it always made sense to me that Rick or a similar group of good people (not murderers) came along and tried to waste them all. Rightfully so. As long as they're under Negan's rule they're dangerous and a threat regardless as to what kind of people they were. Rick didn't literally pick a person to kill upon meeting and enslaving a group. They are absolutely nothing alike.

    Hello from France
    This is a piss-take. Morales return was a good idea, there were fans waiting his backs for 8 years. It could be interesting to follow this new Morales who is become a savior. Developed him. It could be interesting too that he see how deep changed characters like Carl and Carole.
    After the end of the episode 2 we were impatient to watch the next. Moreover there were fans make theories about what could do during the nexts episodes. But No ! All this just for that ! Just for this shitting death and so early. The scriptwriters fucking kidding us !
    Furthermore Daryll become unbearable, a real motherfucker doing anything.
    This is one of the bad time of walking dead (goods ideas but whithout going to the end).
    Morgan starts to become completely insane.
