The full name was Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte
how do I make one?
I love how even in Lego this thing has the same sort of mechanical problems the full size version would have had. Awesome build, even if there's no way to power it!
No way to power it?! ua-cam.com/video/CI5sfyIDTV8/v-deo.html
@@perzyvalsimmons5946 holy hell I stand corrected!! That thing is freakin awesome!!!!
Hello my fellow blue background letter profile pictures
Depends on how you build it...That Is solid brick...I am building it with a lot of air inside, so I can motorize it...
SOMEONE FINALLY DID IT! What a masterpiece!
I was just about to write the same thing,I’m so happy someone finally made it
There have been others, but definitely not in this scale with the sheer detail.
@@hyablusa517 I know ;)
I am working on the other Part of the Landkreuzer project...the Landkreuzer P1500 Monster...An SPG with a modified chassis of the Ratte and the 800mm gun of the Schwerer Gustav...
3:10 “with what *a Chevy V8*” that got my dying
As a German I'm surprised. Never heard of this tank before. But it's true. They gave it in order at Krupp, but some months later they stopped it.
Isn’t it against the law to look for nazi ruins?
@@Stryker_1 I don't know what you mean? Ruins? Like searching for old buildings? Or do you mean runes? Some of them are forbidden, because the Nazis used them.
@@webknecht4602 yes
@@Stryker_1 What are you talking about? What do you mean by ruins? Most old bunkers (if nazi or not) are state or private property so it'd be trespassing to look into them and other buildings from that era (if they survived) are still in use and were already used before the nazis. They are not some ancient civilisation that left real ruins.
Dang, if this was a brickmania set it would be at least $30,000.
Nah if they had 40 custom minifigures you could tack on another 2k for that or more. Also the shipping cost would be insane
Maybe around 6 to 7 thousand by looking at there larger kits like the ac-130
The MAUS toys cost About 2 million or 3 million and stacking those up into ratte's size it's gonna be more than the maus
I would still buy it
70k xd
The German Schwerer Gustav "Dora" was a 1500 ton 80cm (32") calibre railway gun, used briefly (and successfully) against Sevastopol in the Crimea.
It needed a crew of c. 500 to assemble and operate it, and about 5000 to defend a perimeter around it.
Krupp steel who built it, said it was a waste of time, effort, & resources.
it fired exactly twice, and then it was scuttled
Awesome it's crazy how Germany had blueprints to this tank
And just like in real life, you’re never gonna move that thing
If Germany had the oil, this thing sure would've moved.
@@adhx7506 no not really, it was highly impractical
@@DarthKanye Thats not what we were talking about.
@@adhx7506 Until it destroyed the road beneath it or tried moving on anything but flat solid ground
Awsome build, i hope someone build a Schwerer Gustav. Would be sick
Funny thing is that Beyond the Brick has already reviewed a Gustav Cannon!
ua-cam.com/video/jvpwruIjTVE/v-deo.html
If they would do kb44 one that would be epic
@@PU8698 thanks for providing a link
There is a 12che Dora gun on amazon
There's already a video about it in beyond the brick's channel
Lego: "We don't want have our toys have any war theme"
Random man:" I make WW2 Nazi tank
"We brake for nobody" at the back.
Good stuff.
Its kinda funny how the Lego axles can't hold the weight so he had to use steel. Sound familiar?
Karl: "What do we need on a tank, Heinz?"
Heinz: "Battleship Kanon?"
Imagine a 1/35 scale Bismarck, would be amazing
ua-cam.com/video/4viAyWNlt9A/v-deo.html
Oh damn
Ehh
There is a 1/35 scale uss Missouri as well
@@supertornadogun1690 I saw that one, from Brickmania
The ratte is not complete,he have two maus turrets at the rear and 5 anti air turrets based on the winbelrblind main turret(one is located at the top of the main turret on the ratte)
No one really knows exactly what this thing was supposed to look like since it never got further than a napkin sketch. As long as you have a hull with the battleship turret on top, you can do just about anything you want with the design.
The Germans and their fascination with the wonder weapons .Awesome build.
Id buy that for a thousand
Im jokeing im sure it took tripple or more than that or more to purches the parts and put it together, amazing work
Hey Cobi‘ please take a look.. Make one like this.. Like atleast 2x bigger than the Maus.. please make that happen!
It’s beautiful!
_I’ve looked at this for five hours now._
The turret was from a warship, and the turret would of weighed 600 tons on its own. Which means it would be way heavier
Not true
@randall78 how am I wrong?
The Ratte rocks! 💪🏻
Airplanes:
Tiz ze glorious P-1000 Ratte!!! Ze pride of ze land force.
now all we need is for cobi to make a set of the ratte
The Landkreuzer probably didn't need bridges because rivers will be just little water puddles to it. Also taking is down would be as hard as sinking a battleship. With the so many AA gun turrets defense against attack by air would be complicated. Not to mention it would probably be escorted by other mobile AA Panzer divisions. In the event of a bomb landing, it's armor was supposed to be as thick as a concrete bunker. The thing was supposed to be so huge that the sections not affected by the bomb blast would still be able operate and defend. Allied would probably find the way of eventually destroy it but not in 3 minutes. What really gets me is, how would the Germans bring it to a battle fields away from motherland? It would only work as ultimate line of defense for Berlin, sort of like the last stage boss on a video game.
Yeah, as effective as AA was for the germans. It would be effective against dive bombers. It wouldn't do much against high range bombers and due to its size, it would be harder to hit a bridge. It may survive a single bomber but a squadron would just completely take it out of commission as fast as they made their runs. The problem with warships is their hard to hit because of their speed. That was the main defense aside from fighter support. This thing would be remarkably slow. Wouldn't have mattered what the germans did unless they kept several squadrons of fighters continuously flying over it 24/7. The allies will find little difficulty destroying it by air.
Battleships are even bigger targets and are slow as well. Yet they where very to difficult to take out with bombers. sort of like a bunch of x wing fighters trying to take out the deathstar. Lol. Reason:too manny AA and aircraft support. Germans lost almost the entire Luftwaffe on D-day. Anything that is outnumbered can be destroyed. It all depends how much support it would had, or not had.
@@normanguzman417 expect battleships were 50% faster and could perform evasive manuvers like we see the Japanese did for the first few torpedo and bomber attacks during the battle of midway without a scratch. The Ratte can go at best 40km/h and that's in straight unobstructed road. The Ratte was simply a sitting duck and would have been taken ou long before it had a chance to make an impact on any battle. Plus during the opening of the battle of kursk. We see the soviet airforce wipe out 200 grounded german aircraft despite heavy anti aircraft fire with minimal losses. The key behind aerial defense is quality and not quantity. Fighters were definitely the best air defense during those days. Dosen't mean a Squadron of enemy fighters and bombers can break through the cover screen to raid enemy positions. Not to mention the Germans would have had far less support vehicles and aircraft due to the amount of steel it would take to build the Ratte.
History has shown that when the Germans created the Bismarck. The resources it cost them was the equivalent of 80 u boats which definitely would have made a difference in the Atlantic war.
It's amazing what can be done with something as small as a LEGO brick.
Now THAT is cool
the size is off, there are supposed to be 4 aa guns not 2 and the rear heavy guns are meant to be maus guns not pak 88
Yes you are correct
Looks good!
"a rolling target for the USAAF" yup, considering a lot of german tanks in the late war were being attacked by thunderbolts
Show up with cute little period accurate Wermacht supply crate, get cancelled.
these giant builds are amazing but a pain to move around I Imagine.
Your tellin me this thing has a Maus gun for its secondary armament and had dual 280s for its main?! Jeezus
if they built it,
it would be such a great tourist attraction
i hope there will be a company make this giant monster
Now that guy needs to make a lego model of the landkreuzer p.1500 monster
If you put 2 towers of the Mouse Tank on karma it will turn out even more believable
Noice bumper stickers 👌
The ratte is basically a battleship but on land
You did great, this is amazing but I do have a little nitpick. In the back the designs showed 2 maus tank cannons in the back of the ratte
Ratte 1000: the inspiration of the SNES tank boss
Bro should of made this into a custom set he would of made so much
The US airforce took out Japanese battleships. I don't know if this would be more expensive to produce than a battleship, so it is not crazy to think it could had been considerd to be produced. Two of this landbattleships could had change the outcome on the battle of Kursk, as long they would had enough air and ground antiaircraft support. However the whole war outcome would still be the same, as numeric superiority beats anything.
I wish I had instructions for that I’d actually commit my time on that Lego build
"Metal slug X"
"Thank you"
"Heavy machine gun"
"Enemy chaser"
Ahhh yes I love the war builds
Awesome, someone finally built this!
I discovered this tank years ago, and for fun designed a British counterpart. I love how absurd the germans were with concepts
And who says that you get too old for LEGOs?
Neeeeverrrrrrrrr lol
I wish we could buy this as a LEGO set
It has the battleship gun
I like this build
I think he missed the two huge Mause tank turrets at the back and does it have a working gun?
maus
If I ever get to the point where money is no object? I'm TOTALLY making a real one.
That’s the rat aka the rattle had the battleship Bismarck main turret
I heard about the tank that the turret is a turret on battle ship.
It was a cruiser turret, not a battleship turret.
The treads must have been painful
Das is good tank
super tank
can i have instructions for the ratte? >:)
I hoped you could push it and it would drive.
What did the guy that designed the ratte smoke and where can i get it
Where can i get this i don't see it online?
they probably took over Denmark to get LEGO’s to build concept land cruise tank LOL
It's accurate, it's too heavy to move
Fun fact: Hitler personally planned to command this one
Now for the p1500!!!
P1000 have 2 turert of a maus
Correct
@@PauloRicardo492Channel yep
If i remember right it was going to have two maus turrets on the back
i NEED the instructions! 🤩😍🥰🤗
Imagine when ratte was use in wwII
imagine motorizing that thing... literally you need to use a real big motor rather than a lego motor bcs of the weight
Anyone know where or how to get this for the future me to build this.
He probably could have made it open I'm not sure why he made it solid
That would be a P 1000 RATTE but lego addition
The ratte is the biggest tank ever designed
That thing was supposed to be powered by not one, but two submarine engines!
imagine if this was lego set
Sadly here too the Maus turrets in the rear miss
But still great
how much did it cost
We’re can you buy it
It’s not a Lego set it’s a custom model
Omg!!!! Ratte tank omg!!!!!
Can I buy this?
WOW
Yay mega ratte
I'm so glad that this tank will never exist in real live 🙏
@Ruhaan Patel same as me
Shame actually. Would have meant that they didn't waste even more of their ressources on this utterly useless project. Ressources that instead went to other more useful stuff
We're das einechtes Set würde ich es mir holen
“It’s a monster” no it’s a Ratte
make it a kit
Awesome
No nose art, -50 Tank Meme Points
where can i buy that tank please?
you cant
WoW...
this vs the assult pelican from halo mega construx
I need a tutorial
Su-5-1 surely will destroy it.... Maybe
So question. Why are yalls Lego sets on your website so expensive?!and
It’s not there’s it’d there sponser lego itself is expensive mixed with the instructions and box and having to pay your employees it adds up quick
wait, that tank is ratted right ?
I Wana wanted to show American base. Of ww2
