My hubby and I thought so. We were very impressed.
In years past, we bought mostly from the roadside stands and were often let down and some don’t even light, so we tried this Walmart pack.

We thought so. My hubby and I were very impressed! This is NOT even all of them, but a majority of what was in this very affordable pack.
The ones, at roadside stands, often let us down or dont light at all.

That was pretty good for $35. Hawaii only allows firecrackers with a permit, but a lot of illegal stuff is sold on blackmarket. Police are supposed to be cracking down on these illegal ones, but don't know how successful they are. I could say more, but big ears I'm sure, are listening. 😂
@@titasmom678 only the ones on the ground, like this, are legal in va. but illegal ones were going off all around us, lol. fun to watch to.
@gailsfoodandstuff Oh, I meant to add, you neighborhood looks nice. Are you considered to be the Loud, Noisy neighbors? Lol. We are too!
@@titasmom678 no, we are the mild LEGAL ones.. the others shot off the roman candles into the air. ours was gentle but fun.
@@gailsfoodandstuff We used to be the mild ones too when I was younger, but as everyone has grown up and moved away, only the old people are left....we are about the youngest living in the neighborhood, but we get permits to light firecrackers once a year as part of tradition...NY Eve is much bigger for fireworks than 4th of July. So we are about the only ones from the old neighborhood that still set off firecrackers. No illegal ones.

These safe n sane assortments are always a crap shoot. A lot of big looking fountains with ONE tube in them, surrouned by lots of box fountains. I just watched a burn thru of i think the same assortment. 2 decent ones: a Short Stack ( purple rain with some tweaks) and another with 4 tubes. The rest were as i described above. Similar to my own experiences.
Im in NY, not CA, so we have extra choices you don' t, but Walmart is the same everywhere. None of that is going to trouble the CA fire marshall. Kinda sux that you're down to two options: TNT/ Freedom ( same people) or Phantom. ( And the selection is very different at phantom tents. I dont envy the guy who has to figure that out, lol )
Still, you can do pretty well, if you cherry pick, and use UA-cam. Freedom is TNT - for less $$. My experiences with TNT here in NY ate spotty at best - paper and air assortments at Wally World, plus some staples; and wildly expensive items at the tents. Some are pretty good, to be fair, but theres too much competition around here to charge that much for ok to good items.
For a $35 budget, though, I'm not sure you could do too much better- its just a matter of what inexpensive assortment items and singles scratches the itch, lol. My take is that I' m literally lighting money on fire- may as well buy items i like!
Also, you just showed us who those assortments are for, and how to enjoy them. Nice! A small family bit of fun, or just as small, fun stuff to light whenever. Me, personally, i go for those with lots of base fountains, and similar stuff, because its just for fun shooters.

@@gailsfoodandstuff im a born again fountain lover, so i try to be objective. Not my place to tell others what to like. But I am picky, lol. ( Was a pro shooter for a long time, and a hobbyest for decades)
My screen name came from my days on the pyro forums, lol. Too bad they're all gone- lots of good information could be gotten there. Now i gotta lurk on youtube, watching videos like yours! I think ive seen others in the past.
Btw. For next year, there's a channel on here Polar-something or other- that does a LOT of videos on Cali buyers guides. Inc several on suggestions for what to get for certain budgets. Videos of as many of the items as he can find included. They can help you avoid being disappointed at the stands. ( Cheap crap is ubiquitous. Gotta fill that low end pricepoint with something...)
