Hidden benefit of a gel battery like an optima in C5/C6 is that they won’t leak. This is not normally a big deal but since GM put the ECM under the battery, not frying it with acid is always a good touch. Good upgrade, and CONGRATULATIONS Mike!
Jump-starting a vehicle and driving it 15-20-30 minutes does not charge the battery. It may give it enough charge to start back up that day, but the battery is not charged. It takes at least 1-1/2 hours to recharge a dead battery. If you charge it correctly with a lower amp battery charger so that it gets a nice slow "deep" charge the way a dead battery should be recharged, it will take many hours. That AC Delco battery you took out is a good battery that just needs to be put on a charger for a few hours.
Next local winner, do some digging/ recon and surprise them where they live by placing it in there driveway or something and see what reactions you can get
Out of curiosity what is the ratio of entries you get through purchases versus the mail in option? I know I mailed in a couple of the prepaid post cards during the 100x period for both myself and my wife. Only thing I don’t like about the mail in option is the lack of verification that the entries were received.
