I will never understand why Tanner would turn his back like that and give Jericho an opportunity to shoot him especially as he worked this hard to apprehend him. I just find that ending funny
funkadelicmover1 In the beginning of the game, Tanner shoots the driver of south beach when he was just reaching for his keys (the dude with the pony tail) and Jones gets pissed at him saying “why do you always gotta shoot someone” so my guess is that Tanner didn’t want to make the same mistake again but gets shot for it

@@novamous777 That still doesn't explain why he doesn't put handcuffs on him. I think the only reason they made Jericho shoot him was so they could have a cliffhanger ending, but the way it was done is so silly.

@@mister_wide maybe but since we're talking about a remake there's a strong likelihood that its gonna be faithful 2 the original version of driver 3 or else it shouldn't be labelled a remake
I remember being heartbroken when the game began like this, then on the edge of my seat during the final cutscene. Although it's aged poorly gameplay-wise, you can't put a price on nostalgia. And the fact this was the beginning of my love of the action genre, movies, games and otherwise. I went from this to True Crime Streets of LA to GTA San Andreas. And that started my fanaticism of GTA. Hell of a journey!
I want to buy the licenses and make a remaster for this. It’s so underrated

@@mrmanchicken5062 Driv3r Definitive Edition is a mod I made which enhances and improves the PC version of the game a lot. However, it is more based on making the game have good graphics like on PS2 and fix graphical bugs but some gameplay bugs remain since I don't have the source code.

omg this game brings back so many memory's. This was probably one of my favorite games on the original Xbox.

3:45 When newbie police dont know what need to do
What newbies do is to shoot on sight criminals. The officer probably wanted to point his gun at him, but the scene maybe was poorly animated.
Yeah if you slow down to 0.25 and pause at the right 3:49 you can see him point his gun but then dying
@@zombie-2358 He wasn't pointing his gun. The game just abruptly cut his model frames to his death animation which has his gun arm starting from a lower position.

If you cheat and use the grenade launcher you can kill jerico here. The game freezes because it has no storyline for that scenario 😂

Storyline is bullshit, they killed a lot of people across the game, tanner traveled to two countries, made almost a civil war in turkey, only because some people were stealing a bunch of cars. What a lame storyline.

I remember this being one of the very first games of me playing of my childhood. I literally was 5 or 6 back then. Coming home from school just too look forward to playing this game. Ughhhh the memories man, good ol days.
Side note: due to my inexperience in gaming and the comprehension of a 6 year old I never even manage to pass the first mission lol.

First game I pre-ordered and subsequently refunded. I'll never forget that day. They rescheduled the release and I changed my mind. Looking at this now, I'd say 16 year old me dodged a bullet. lol
Brady Davis it was actually pretty good it had some rough patches but it was a pretty good game back then even comparable to some gta games

The train is different than the one in the cutscene 😂 but the cutscene animations look more real than gta v ones tho
This game didn’t have much but the developers worked to give us the most out of our experience. Developers now don’t do that and it’s sad.

It is ruined now. Like the famous Chip-chan Kick it is ended at the most interest place. But Chip-chan Kick had the audio novel, and Driver had not.
I would like the idea of a reboot,keep the classic Tanner and Jericho beef but in present day

I loved this game purely because of how badass Jericho is. When he shot tanner at the end was I the only one who cheered that Jericho won? So wished they kept Jericho like that in Driver San Fransisco, didn't like Jericho on that game at all.
Arch_Angel I didn’t like tanner either. They changed up all the characters in the game but still maintained the story of Driv3r making them all inconsistent-ass characters

Magical Mystery Rider ofc it is but GTA 5 is PS3 Xbox game. Driv3r is ps2 & pc game. The graphics of GTA 5 is way better then Driv3r. but Driv3r is good game too and has good graphics for be a ps2 game.

Bought driver 2 just when it came out and I waited for so long for this game to be released, I was constantly getting into that website watching the videoclips waiting and waiting for a PC release!
I remember i read that they took over 80,000 photos of each city to make it realistic and it was mind blowing at the time.
And then i managed to first play the game in 2004. A polished game overall, it shouldn’t have been rushed at all! GTA SA was cartoonish compared to this but it overshadowed it since Driv3r was a basic game with nice graphics!
Technically you don't need to get in front of the train.
You can tail it until it gets to the end. You can still hit the marker after it passes and still won't lose that part of the mission.

No, you can't. But the driving is fantastic. Incredible selection of cars and the shift mechanic is pretty neat. Dialogue in that game is hilarious, if a little geared towards more of a teen audience rather than straight adult MA type stuff. The soundtrack is the weakest part of that game, all those songs suck ass. I also wish it had elements of 3 like getting out of your car and what not but for what it is, it's good. Cockpit view is always A+ in driving/racing games.

TheCoolGuyxXx69 I agree, it did have a couple of songs that had a 70s vibe. But a lot of music was like alternative pop music and frankly a lot of the songs were boring. They didn't really stand out. The songs I liked were songs I already knew. I really wasn't impressed by it.

@@emekli_nihilist San Francisco is a straight up sequel, they did retcon the characters, but the history is a continuation from Driv3r, Tanner even talks about the moment he was shot in the back by Jericho in that mission in the video

Driv3r is much better than San Fransisco despite Driv3r' s awful gameplay graphics... i watched and watched and watched but it is full of meaningless and story independent driving challenges... Also the story is based on ridiculous and simple... Everyome can understand he is dreaming, additionally they show Tanner on the bed of a hospital so you can be sure about that... And ridiculous point is, if he can change his body into any body why does not he change himself directly into the driver he is chasing? Very simple answer... To be more excited and longer game... If i am wrong and that jackass story and always in car gameplay changes please inform me that i am wrong but not detailed information if i am wrong i would like to watch till end...
