Hi Vera I just love your WIP - this is so pretty. Each of my Projects has its own Floss Box with the DMC on Plastic Bobbins. All I have to do is go pull out that Bobbin that has the Color on it that I need. I keep my Floss Box on my End Table next to my chair. I don’t have to take time out to pull the threads from the Tags or any of that. I can see the Numbers on my Plastic Bobbins and they are put in the 17 Compartment Plastic Floss Box by numbers. I don’t use Pattern Keeper or Mark Up X P - I just use a paper working copy and I can see the whole page this way all at once. I use a Red Gel Ink Pen to mark off my Stitches. I don’t want to be looking at a Screen all day long just to stitch. My Eye Doctor told me that it is not good for the Eyes to be looking at a Screen all day long. I was working on Once Upon A Fairytale - Heaven And Earth Designs - Aimee Stewart is the Artist. I am on Page 3 right now - the last two Columns. Page 3 is full of Confetti Stitching. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🍁🍂🐿️☕️❤️
Having an organized thread situation makes the stitching experience that much more enjoyable :) Bobbins works so well for many stitchers :) I agree on the screen time, one of the appealing aspects of stitching is enjoying the tangible experience of fabric and threads, not the digital screen! It is a fun project you are working on, Aimee Stewart makes beautiful designs. Happy stitching!
I don't know about really high count fabrics, but I'm going to try out 24 count congress cloth for my Golden Kite. It's a super stiff fabric with big holes and when I did my test stitching on it I found it to have really good coverage doing 2x1 tent with black, probably because the big holes makes it easy for the strands to lie nicely next to each other. It should be used with a scroll frame as it's really hard to get any creases out of it.
I have never used scrolls before... Keep me in touch on how that project is coming along, I might need some advice if I venture into congress cloth. Happy stitching!
@@verasstitchingcorner I will. I'll probably start in a few weeks. I generally prefer Qsnaps but this fabric just wouldn't work with that so scroll frame it is.
I'm using tapestry 28 size needle. I alternate between Bohin and Piecemakers. Bohin is slightly duller but the coating is nicer to the touch. Piecemakers is sharper, and is more comfortable when the stitching has a thick layer on the back. Hope that helps :) Happy stitching!

What size needle are you using for the 28ct fabric? Happy stitching 💜
