Re: Teresa Wentzler: you might have done something like this already, but when I worked on my TW, I made my own floss cards for all the blends. I wrote down both DMC colours plus the symbol. If I ever do another one, I;l do something similar, except I’ll do something more like your floss drops, and include a length of each floss colour, plus the blended one, on the same floss drop. For backstitch, I think I did that part as long as all the surrounding cross stitches were complete. Your start is gorgeous!

Great idea...if you put your cut ones in hanging ones you hadn't cut you could contain each group without them gathering all together...it might even make it harder for the individuals to fall off...thank you for sharing your area...I am still working on how I work

I do like the "top down" WIP parade. It was a more "comprehensive" view. I really enjoyed it.

I love Teresa Wentzler's charts. I did 4 of the rocking horses ( 2 more still as WIPS nearly 15 years later... ), Stretch ( a long skinny dragon ) and Above the Clouds. Definitely a challenge though as you say. TW is the queen of back stitch too.

Yes yes yes. I stitch full coverage tent and 28 over 1 was a struggle because like what you said about the white. I prefer 25 over 1 for that reason.

I have a full coverage piece kitted up to start on after the first of the year. It's 188,000 stitches. I have been thinking about how to approach the stitching path on this one. I don't remember the color count, but it is close to 100. Your video was helpful for me in my planning stage for a large project.

How interesting doing extreme cross country, what are your thoughts are you enjoying it more this way? What count of fabric are you stitching this to fit in a hoop like that just curious. Your project is looking great thank you for sharing.

I have DMC3688 in a full coverage piece called Mini Glass Tiger (HAED). There are 30 stitches out of 83,200 in the piece. I haven't tried colour completing yet. The main full coverage I am working on is 160,000 stitches - Woman In a Field of Flowers. There are less than 25 colours with stitch count under 100. I'll just do those as I get to them. It's great to watch someone else's exploration of what works for them. Gives me ideas of how I might change/amend what I do. Thanks!

I've got 5 of the tiny Towns ffo'd. They are the Valentine, Any Town, Honey of Tiny Town, the Patriotic and Harvest Tiny Town. Finishing all of them to be made into mini pillows to be placed in the same place. I'm Anxious to get them all done. I have all the charts available except for Thankful!!!!

I would love to finish my Treasure Hunt Book Shelf by Aimee Stewart project by the end of the year but that is most likely too ambitious. My goal is to have it finished and framed by the beginning of April 2025. Lots of time away between now and then, however, so we shall see! As to your Century of Knowledge project, if it were me, I would continue stitching vertically because I would want to reach the top finished section. But, you do you! I enjoy seeing whatever progress you make on any project. Happy that you are finishing projects!

I finished an old WIP of a spicy pepper that I am going to making a hot pad out of. Very close is a little carousel horse that will be an ornament.

Such a beautiful finish, congrats! I love the sound of thread going through aida when stitching on a hoop, haha, even though I stitch in hand myself. As for being a monogamous stitcher, it works for a month and then I need to switch up...! Ideally I work on one WIP for two weeks.

In regards to chopping onions, make sure your knife is very sharp and your onion is refrigerated! A sharp knife cuts fewer cell walls, which causes less fumes. 😊

Would you mind doing a tutorial on how to upload a dimension pattern into pattern keeper? I cannot figure it out. 😓

Yes, I am most definitely a monogamous stitcher. My mind won't let me start a new wip until the current one is finished. Which works pretty well for me since I can get about 2 full coverage pieces done a year. My only problem is that I keep buying charts that I know I will never get the chance to start which really bugs me, but the idea of leaving so many projects unfinished is worse.
