This year, my vacations are going to be longer, so putting shop on Vacation mode would make sense. But, this year, I have a product line that I can make while I'll be away from my studio, so I think I'll just extend fulfilment dates on the ones I can't produce, and leave the others as they are. It's going to be an experiment! I hope the 8-week prosessing time on 75% of my listings won't hurt me much!!!
I have put on shop on vacation mode many many times in the past. Always for a few days with no problem. HOWEVER I have just come back form a 6 WEEK vacation. I was traveling and no way would I be able to keep my shop open. it took awhile to get back into the swing of things. I've been home now for a month and the saes are slow in coming. I know that the summer slump isn't helping but I know I'll be able to get it back again Thanks for sharing.....BTW i traveled throught Southeast Asia and stopped by your beuatiful country of Australia. We stayed a few days in Brisbane. I wish I could go back. I enjoyed my stay!
@@Tizzitco LOL...my daughter will be giving birth in early December and because of her husbands work I will need to stay with her helping so here we go again...another Vacation mode for my shop.. It's not going to be a good year for me.
Love your videos Deborah!! I see most t-shirt shops on Etsy price their t-shirts at $21 including shipping… Now at a $21 price point including shipping, May I know how much profit per t-shirt this seller would be making approximately? If I use a POD partner like printify, May I know how should I price my t-shirt so that I get a $5 net profit per t-shirt sold?
Thanks for the comment! We couldn't speak to how much profit any single Etsy shop is making per POD product simply based on pricing; we encourage all handmade sellers to use a pricing calculator in order to set prices that make the most sense for their niche, audience, and financial goals 😊 you can find out more about our (free) pricing calculator in this blog post 👉 tizzit.co/are-your-handmade-prices-too-high-heres-what-to-do/ - Lindsey @ Team Tizzit
@@Tizzitco thanks Deborah! One last question-- What are your thoughts on offering free shipping rather adding extra shipping costs to the purchase? Since most customers want free shipping, I am not sure if I should factor in shipping in my price of t-shirt as it will definitely make my t-shirt look expensive compared to my competitors.
@@Om-gg5tk It's hard to say without looking into it further. For example, do your competitors offer free shipping?
