This is the US-available Barra 400E rebadged and crippled (no full auto). It's a brilliant bit of kit.

You can definitely separate the upper and lower. One time I tried loading the Dust Devil BB's and the gun jammed up. Dust Devils were too fragile to be loaded into the magazine and into the gun itself. So the only type of BB this gun accepts are the metal ones that are made of steel. Never use any frangible BB as it will not work. The frangible BB will only jam up the magazine and the gun, forcing you to disassemble the magazine and the gun to unjam it. It does NOT like frangible BB like some of the other CO2 powered BB guns. When shooting steel BB's it's best to shoot from a distance as there are richocets of steel BB's coming back at you.

Did you notice if the barrel used a hop up unit to put backspin on the bb at all?
Assuming it's using a standard size version 2 gearbox, the internals from this could be used in any AEG that takes that sort of gearbox! Apart from being sized for 4.5mm bb's was the magazine any different from a normal Airsoft stanag mag?
Other than callber difference, the mag inside has a long spring which is touching next to the follower. Loading the steel bb's into the magazine only compresses the long spring internally as you pump the steel bb's into the follower of the magazine.

I've got one and I can say its a ton of fun stick a red dot on top and get decent bbs you can get at least a 1000 shots per charge

@@racknload it can be bb fussy I use black bbs, plus the speed loader can be a bit of a faff use a small drop of oil on the feeder port makes the bbs go in very easily.. Brilliant gun and lots of fun smashing tin cans.. Especially cheap energy drink cans

Saw these when they were first launched a while back, TBH you're getting the worst of both worlds with this over here, no full auto or GBB and the horrible sound of an AEG with all the problems batteries come with i.e. expensive, die permanently if they run flat (lipos), having to charge them very carefully all the time etc.. so apart from winter outdoor shooting I can't see any benefit and I have a nice heated indoor range in my house so no need at all for me personally. But each to their own I guess, I own well over a hundred air/airsoft guns and including some AEG's but wouldn't add this to my collection. Nice sights though!
Here in the US, I have full auto that actually shoots 600 rounds per minute. It's fun to shoot full auto in my backyard. And the fact it runs on batteries means I never have to spend more money on CO2. With other bb guns that have the full auto feature, shooting in full auto on CO2 is a waste. You use more CO2 on full auto and the velocity is greatly affected. The faster you shoot (full auto), the colder the CO2 cartridges get, which means the lower pressure output. And lower pressure means lower velocity and power of the shots. With an electric airsoft system, the velocity and power are quite consistent. That's really the main benefit of the AEG system over traditional CO2 systems.
@@BrilloHead I know that very well being an airsoft GBBR fan!lol. After "you've scratched that full auto itch" you find short bursts are far more effective and fun even for plinking.
