For the "mum" of the "smart girl" - well... If she'd left it at "don't do projects with [friend] if she puts in less work and brings the grade down." then explained it as "the friendship hit a rough patch because they didn't work well on projects" she might have escaped the AH title. She, and she is the one telling the story, went too far and too hard to escape the title. I mean if I wanted strangers to agree with me... that story is not how I'd tell what happened.
As a grown up... I have zero issues with words about the human body. If we can't communicate there are issues.

As an adult male I can say that I have never had an issue with words relating to female reproductive organs. I would absolutely be fine with my daughter (or my S.O. for that matter) discussing such things openly, she should absolutely be able to trust me enough to talk about it if there is an issue. Unless that dad is squeamish about everything medical related (somehow I doubt that), I would agree that he is a misogynistic man-child. This is the kind of "men" (if they can be called that) that make women fell dirty and unclean just because they were not born male.

Will is trying to isolate Summer from her friends by involving Summer and making her think they are united and confronting the friend together; it's a manufactured us vs them. Why else would he fixate on this friend and demand an apology when he is no longer concerned for his girlfriend and in hindsight knows that the friend didn't know anything, and why else would he want to be sure his girlfriend witnesses the conflict? Will clearly had the friend's phone number and could have spoken to her directly if he thought there was a real conversation to have. He knows there isn't.

Super bowl parties you have to ask questions if they aren't in the invite. You need to know if you're going to a party with die hards or a relaxed "we're eating food and talking with the game in the background" and if they are expecting you to be there for the entire 5+ hour event or drop in and out. Not to mention what food or drink you should bring. I don't have kids so that's not exactly on my list but even without kids I've always found out if other people who do have kids were bringing them.

former "gifted" kid here and I cana completely confirm that we often do not have to learn how to learn and/or work hard. I did not have to work for school until I was 15 (aka when I got really sick) and 10 years later, I just finally figured out what techniques work best for me to learn efficiently. It may seem so cool that we had more free time, but most of us end up paying the price later on. It can even go to the point of failing uni, HS or studies in general; or scrapping by.

Love it! You have an amazing point of view for a person in her late 20's. So many men give the rest of us a bad name, when it comes to hearing about the complexity of a woman body, jet they are happy to take the prize. The fact a woman can survive the pain of birth, that would kill any man, allow with the shit a mother goes through from conception to birth. The bodily changes beyond that life changing event, and so on. But then those men get the girls, while the rest of us stay single. Logical? NOT! As a male victim of Systemic Control in my younger years, that effected me for the rest. At 60 free and single, I am happy to live my last chapters this way and leave the cattle to their own devices. The best of luck to them.

For context, a lot of sports "parties" are more like a bunch of people hanging out drinking beer and eating. They still get called a party, I'd say its pretty 50/50 on them being kid friendly in the U.S.. Many Super Bowl parties are more like cookouts or potlucks with the tv as the centerpiece. It depends on who is hosting. So yeah, they should have checked, but the host probably should have specified it wasn't going to be kid friendly. I'd say everyone involved is sort of an a-hole.

I think the Super Bowl one needs more details! Because I grew up going to state of origin nights with my parents every year! If they’re in their late 20s, are their friends also parents or not? Because parents tend to surround themselves with other parents, and maybe they just assumed other kids would be there. I just want a bit more information because if the friends have kids and didn’t tell them it wasn’t a kid friendly event then not the asshole. But if the friends are all childless then yes they’re the Ahole.

I think the one with the "intelligence" issue is an everyone sucks here. I don't agree that the mother necessarily teaches her daughter to look down on others. She just told her not to do group projects with someone she was constantly fighting with during the projects. Them not being as close as a result isn't a big deal I think and doesn't mean the daughter looks down on her friend.
I also think primary school age kids should be allowed to invite who they want and she shouldn't be pressured into inviting someone she no longer hangs out with.
I think the other mom is an AH for demanding her daughter be invited. She doesn't seem to care about either girl, as her daughter wouldn't be happy being at a party with people she doesn't hang out with.
That all being sad, OP is absolutely and AH. She could have just said "No sorry, I wont force my daughter to invite someone she doesn't want to. You know how it is, they grow apart or they have a phase, who knows maybe next year they're bffs again". But what she actually said, and the whole way she wrote her posts, makes it seem like she does look down on others and here I completely agree with Brianne.

dad bringing his kid to a super bowl party = not the ah. i’d find it very concerning if anyone, but especially someone as old as their late 20s, can’t keep it together enough at a super bowl party for a child to be safe there. it’s mostly sitting around, finger foods, and the halftime show, so it’s not like someone throwing a birthday party on a saturday night or whatever. and if the dynamic that person was going for involved no kids, they should’ve either specified or not invited guests who are parents.

That happened about a month after i had told her that my previous ex had cheated on me and that i wasn't entirely trusting of people and she "promised" she wasn't like the others.

The world is full of more and more idiots by the day because of feelings over common sense. Common sense your child is struggling you get them help and don't teach or tell them to sponge off their friends and ruine friendships and learn bad habits.
