Congrats brother! ive been saying the stronic r8 v10 is such a hidden gem, these will definitely hold their value if not increase in price as more people realize its a v10 dct combo for half the price
Respect to anyone who has a supercar in Scotland. Keeping it rust free and well maintained is a challenge. I live in Australia now and cars last forever. We really do take it for granted here.
Rubbish. I lived in Sydney for 7 years on the Northern beaches. Nowhere is worse for rust than sea salt and monsoon conditions you get in January, mould on the inside and rust on the outside. 😂 Loved the HSVs I had though.
Stunning car mate, the colour & the alloys really suite it & oh my god the noise when slowing down through the gears howling back up through them again is epic !! What a car ! Congrats on your new toy & looking forward to many more videos, all the best🙂
What a beautiful car, the first shape is a timeless masterpiece, and a shade of Scotland recognised here 👍 I’ve got a V10 plus Mkll and the paddle shift is like a quick shifter on a motorbike. I don’t understand why some enthusiasts insist on a manual gearbox which is way too slow for this type of quick reving vehicle. During spirited driving one is sideways before each up shift requiring both hands on the wheel. Once one adapts to the rapid fire MG42 inspired transmission there is honestly really no way of going back! 😂😊 Congratulations, bloody awesome choice of machine 🫶⚡️🚀 😊
I own a V10 Plus with S Tronic in Suzuka Grey. Really impressive engine, the throttle response is that of a race engine, but a better exhaust is needed. With OEM the sound is quite decent over 5.000 rpm but nowhere near a Quicksilver or Brooke Race one. With Michelin Cup 2 tyres the car improves handling and performance a lot, though there is work to the suspension setup to do yet.
Cool vid! Would add that for the steering feel you can get camber brackets from REP that make quite a difference - add in suspension mods with coilovers etc and you can really make a decent track car. For the ultimate go for a 2WD conversion!
Stunning! I have the non plus V10 S-tronic. Since I've owned it, nearly 4 years, I've put the plus passive dampers on it, had the APR remap so it's now a plus without the ceramics. I prefer my piano black exterior trim to the plus matt grey tbh. BTW, the DCT does have an in-between mode, it's the manual control 😊. I drive mine like that 90% of the time, it'll do whatever you tell it 👍
Great video, im currently between one of these or a Mclaren 540 C and i cant make my mind up , I know the R8 is put together better and god does that V10 sing
Love this. I have a Mk1 V10+ S-Tronic too. The noise is incredible, they are such great, (and now affordable), cars. Agree with your thoughts on the steering, it’s worth noting that the Mk2 got dreadful variable steering as an option and later it was fitted by default.
He's got an old car that no one really wants any more. And it's not even manual. Yet he's trying to talk it up. Sensible people with money would just go buy a new Golf-R or something sensible? And that price for the brakes to be replaced? I am sure that shows why these cars are cheaper now? I work in construction and as well as meeting company owners at the firm, I do jobs for rich clients. None of them. No rich people I know, would go buy a 10 year old car like this. Next time get a Golf-R or maybe go to a brand new Cayman? As with those it might take 10 years to get to the problems/worries you'll be having from day 1. This car reeks of failure. As although I would struggle to buy/run one. I am happy in my life.
Not sure if you're trolling or have very limited knowledge on cars, so have a few responses for you: Gen 1 r8's are more iconic and sort after than the gen2's hence holding their price and some being even more expensive then the gen 2's. So for holding value and potential increase of value this is the right car to buy. The brake discs are ceramics and can last 200k miles, the only things that need changing are pads, so generally noones ever has replaced the discs hence the bill not being a problem, infact cars with these brakes are valued higher for that reason. The manuals cost alot to maintain with clutches being a bastard of a job to replace and the s tronic box is incredible on this shape so again weird comment considering how bullet proof these cars are. And to compare this to a new golf or a cayman, I'm not going to even give a response to as that's hilarious hence I think this Is a troll.. Most people just try to look rich with financing new cars. To be able to buy a 10 year old 65k car when finance isn't available (due to age) is more impressive and sensible as manufactures are just mugging people off on finance deals Hope this has helped 😂
@@RavenfluxASMR Just a bit of friendly advice. I remember looking at second hand cars once and being tempted. It's not a good idea. Maybe 1-3 years old from a main dealer. But after that. Even they won't touch their own make of car?
@@charlesturner57 All I needed to hear was the problem with the clutch. Which I knew anyway as I had friends with V8 Audi S5's. And they learnt the hard way that it's okay giving it the big show. But really no one with proper money wants these type of cars. Unless they've owned them from new. I drove a V8 Audi R8 on a Supercar day in 2014. As well as other things. And it was very nice. But things move on very fast. My girlfriend has an A5 Quattro S-Line with 249bhp. I am not against Audi's.
Beauty! Picked up my first supercar in December (2020 Audi R8 Performance) so I know the feeling. Enjoy bruv

V10 R8 absolute bargain of a supercar! V10 with upgraded exhaust is something else

Don’t tell me about rust 😢 rains so much here

That is gorgeous , I would be scared to drive it with those prices I.e £17 -£18k for discs and pads 🤑
You don’t have to spend that much…😅
Absolutely cracking video with an amazing intro still knocking it out the park

Welcome to the R8 V10 Plus Family! I have a 2015 Daytona Gray/Carbon fiber Side Blades. Gods Car!!

What would you pick between gen1 vs gen2 v10 ?
What was the mileage when you acquured it?
Is that an aftermarket steering wheel?
Amazing video! 🥹🥹
Amazing video but could you do a mk6 2018-present VW polo
Congratulations on your R8 mate
Hell of a weapon. Congrats mate!
Gorgeous colour. Very rare with V10 and the S-tronic gearbox. Enjoy!

Here we go! Gonna put the kettle on!
Any plans to record an English version?
congrats! What an amazing car
I tested one of those a while back, wasn't for me. I got the Bentley Conti GT W8 instead, not as shouty but much more civilised :)
How tall are you?, I'm. 6'4 and always fancied one of these, would the car accommodate my height?
I’m 6’1. Compared to gallardo there is much more headroom
Good stuff my friend!

What a beautiful car. Subtle but astonishing
Well wear my man, smashing motor. Regards from Ireland
My dream car an engine, love it ,congrats 👌
Nice mate
Lovely

I love your Audi but would steer away from making cracks about the Lord.

Want a cookie? Did you let it all out? Do you need a pat on your back? How did that make you feel? Did it make your boaby grow bigger?

"Buy a Golf R" 😂 he's not a mid-20s bam.
What an absolute rocket.

Maybe just don't bring Jesus into your videos probably you would say anything about Muhammed.
The colour is spectacular but something about the shape that holds me back
Considering one of these atm
